ATSF 979 - San Bernardino CA - 1940s

Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 2-10-2 979 stops with its passenger train in San Bernardino, Califronia, before beginning its assault on Cajon Pass. The engine was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1904, this engine would be rebuilt in the railroad’s San Bernardino Shops in April 1917.
