Hehehe I’ll take the blame, anon. And he does have a rather lethal physiognomy. I wasn’t sold on Cillian at first too. Honestly, it’s just watching him in Dunkirk (on the heels of Peaky Blinders) that gave me Levi vibes.

I have a love-hate relationship with rivamika for years. I feel that it is the most complex couple but at the same time with better development and potential. But there is always something. I mean, every time a breakthrough or approach has occurred between them, something happened that separated them and pushed them back or interrupted a possible relationship. It frustrates me to see how an incredible argument could be made, but nothing ever happened. At this point I think they will die apart.

Hahahaha I feel your frustrations! But at the same time that’s exactly what captures my heart about this ship, or any ship — that it’s never substantially confirmed to be anything. It leaves space for imagination and headcanons. It allows us to explore the scope and depth of emotions that could possibly happen between them. It doesn’t reduce their relationship to a single-dimension definition of “couple.”

Also, man, I honestly don’t know what is going on in snk any more. For real, what has this manga become…? Time-travel, inception, bloodline superpower… I feel each time when it comes to relationship between characters, Isayama always leaves a loose end. It’s not only happening to Levi and Mikasa. He didn’t tell us what Hanji thinks about Moblit after he died; he didn’t show us Erwin’s funeral; he told us Springles are not a couple but “like twin” and Nikosasha all of a sudden becomes full of fluffs only after sasha died 😂; why Historia, after she decided to live up to her true self, so easily accepted the pregnancy plan!? At this point I think the only way we can avoid disappointment is to not hold any high expectations…
