Trip of a Lifetime: Part Four (Reddie)
Summary: The Losers go on a trip to wrap up their 18th summer.
Pairings: Richie x Eddie — Bill x Stan — Ben x Bev
Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4
**This part took longer to come out. Sorry. Enjoy <3**
Eddie’s eyes fluttered open to the sound of birds chirping just outside the dusty cabin window. A soft glow radiated into the cabin and a warm breeze drifted through one of the open windows. He hadn’t woken up feeling that relaxed in his entire life. Everything seemed perfect.
‘Shit, what time is it?’ Eddie thought suddenly, sitting up quickly in his bed. ‘Where the hell is everyone?’
Noticing that Richie wasn’t in bed with him, he threw his legs over the edge of the mattress. He frowned and looked towards the door half expecting to see the Losers barge through. Unsurprisingly, the door remained still so he stood up and walked towards his bag that was sitting on the floor and pulled on some clothes for the day. After he had pulled on a pair of red shorts that stopped just short of his knees and a plain grey shirt he walked towards the door and swung it open. Eddie lifted his hand up to his face to protect his eyes from the sun’s powerful rays.
“There’s the s-sleeping beauty” rang a familiar sounding voice.
“Hey Bill” said Eddie with a dry voice, still squinting in response to the sun. He eyes adjusted slightly giving him the chance to glance around. He noticed he was alone with Bill. “Where’s everyone else?”
Eddie could see that Bill was sitting on a plastic lawn chair facing the lake and was reading some sort of book.
“The others went into t-town to pick up some firewood and f-food. I stayed behind to make sure you didn’t pass away in your sleep” he explained. Bill put his book down and stood up walking towards Eddie. “S-so how did you sleep? You nearly slept two hours after everyone else woke up.”
Eddie was taken by surprise. “Two hours?” he gasped, “I didn’t even notice anyone was up!”
Bill laughed. “Rich took f-five minutes to get out of bed to prevent you from waking up. I guess h-he succeeded.”
“Why the hell didn’t he wake me up?” Eddie inquired, a hint of annoyance peppered in his voice.
“He said something about you being adorable when you slept. I guess he didn’t want to disrupt your beauty sleep.” Bill responded. Eddie’s blush began to crawl up his neck. “W-why don’t you go sit down over there,” he said, pointing to his chair, “I’ll be right over – j-just going to grab a soda.”
“Grab me one too please!” Eddie yelled as Bill disappeared around the corner of the cabin.
Eddie sat himself in the chair and picked up the book Bill was reading. The text on the front read Stopping the Stutter: A 10 Week Program. He opened the book to where Bill had put his bookmark found he was reading a section called Week Four.
‘Bill’s stutter had been getting a bit better recently’ Eddie thought to himself as he put the bookmark back into the book, shutting it again and placing it where he found it.
Bill emerged again from behind the cabin holding two cans of soda in his hands. “I got you orange soda,” he yelled as he was walking towards Eddie, “I know that’s your favourite.”
“Thanks Bill,” Eddie smiled, reaching to grab the can. “Say, Bill, I didn’t realize you were working on your stutter,” he said, motioning towards the book.
“Oh, um, yea…” he responded, embarrassment lining his words. “I’ve been t-trying to improve it for a few w-weeks now. Not sure if the book’s actually helping, though.”
“Bill,” Eddie spoke, shooting him a warm smile, “You know we all love you, with or without that stutter of yours. Just know you don’t have to get rid of it for anyone’s sake except your own.”
Bill’s eyes slid to the ground as his lips curled into a smile and he let out a soft, “T-thanks man.” The morning sun complimented the blush that seemed to stretch up into Bill’s cheeks, contrasting his normally fair skin. Eddie looked over Bill with a form of appreciation different than that of what he had for Richie, but an appreciation none the less. They both stood there soaking in the moment for a few seconds while enjoying each other’s friendly company.
Eddie had realized many years ago that his value for Bill stemmed from respect rather than the romantic feelings he appreciated Richie for. It had been Bill who had helped him overcome his fear of germs when he was young, and it was Bill who challenged the people who tried to put Eddie down for it. He knew Bill was always someone he could rely on; Someone he could trust.
“Hey, uh, Bill – Can I tell you something?”
Eddie wasn’t exactly sure why he decided this was the moment he was going to tell someone about his true feelings towards Richie, but for some reason it felt like the right time.
Bill looked back up at Eddie, a look of curiosity tinted in his eyes. “O-of course, Eddie. You can tell me a-anything.”
“Well I-“
He suddenly felt himself choking. “You okay Eddie?”
An elephant seemed to be standing on his throat but there was no turning back now. He didn’t want to. He couldn’t keep it to himself any more, so he decided to force his words out.
“I – I like Richie,” he finally exclaimed with a large exhale.
Bill frowned. “Yea, Richie is pretty cool I guess. Isn’t that why we hang out with him?”
“No – No Bill. I really like him. Like –“ Eddie sighed, “I have feelings for him.”
Eddie was looking at Bill’s face for any sort of reaction, but he didn’t seem phased by what Eddie had just admitted to him.
“Bill? I-“
He was suddenly cut short by Bill enveloping him in a big hug.
“Thank you for telling me, man. I understand how hard it can be to come out.”
Eddie had finally let the weight he carried for most of his youth free. Tears fabricated from his joy trickled down his cheeks and splashed softly onto Bill’s strong shoulders, seeming to release all hardships with each drop.
They hugged for almost a minute straight before being interrupted by the sound of tires tearing across the dirt road leading to their camp site. Eddie and Bill jogged over to witness the approaching vehicle and saw Beverly jump out of the passenger side before the car even came to a full stop, tears streaming down her face.
“...Bev?”
Her face was contorted in a look of sadness and anger as she sprinted up to them. “It’s – It’s Richie.” She gasped, almost suffocating on her words. “He’s seriously injured and in the hospital. There was an accident. A fight.”
Eddie felt his heart enter his stomach.
‘Oh god, please be okay, Rich. I need you to be okay. I need you.’
This one took longer to come out than usual. Thanks for any continued feedback <3

Reddie one-shot
In this case: Eddie comes out to Richie
Trigger warning: spoilers from the book sort of? I mashed the book and movie together
-
A few months after Beverly Marsh left the small town of Derry Maine, the losers were still traumatized. Stan stayed indoors for a whole month and would only go outside if Bill Denbrough was with him.
Richie was his normal self and Eddie was slowly recovering, as were Ben and Mike.
Today was a special day.
Eddie Kaspbrak sat with Richie Tozier, skipping rocks on the small body of water in the barrens.
“4 skips, beat that Eds.” Richie teased, sticking out his tongue. Eddie’s knees were hugged to his chest as he rolled his eyes. He grabbed another rock, skipping it.
Only 3 skips. “Damn.” He mumbled, frowning.
“It’s okay, you’re still pretty good. Put more of your wrist into it though.” Richie nudges Eddie.
Eddie looked up at Richie, who seemed to be looking at him in the same way.
“I wanna ask you something Rich.” Eddie grabbed another rock, moving his gaze to a water to skip another rock.
“Ask away compadre.” Richie watched the rock skip 5 times.
“You beat me.” He pointed out with a grin.
“Yeah, Yeah.”
Richie grabs another rock, preparing to skip it.
“How do you feel about um- homosexuals?” He asked.
“Pretty disgusting according to everyone else. I mean, I’m not gay though so I can’t say that.”
Eddie gulped, grabbing another rock.
He watched the flick of Richie’s wrist, trying to master the skill.
“Oh.”
“Why?” Richie asked.
“I just thought maybe- nevermind.” Eddie sighed, skipping the rock.
“Cmon Eds, tell me.” Richie skipped another. Eddie twirled a rock in his hands.
“Do you remember when Pennywise became the leper? A male leper to be precise?”
“Yes, I do.”
“He offered me a blow job and all that shit?” Eddie shivered at the memory.
“I know you’re scared of germs, but what about the blow job part? You scared of sexual intercourse?”
The fourteen year old nodded. “That too. But there’s another thing I was scared of.”
“And what is that?”
Eddie finally skipped the rock gently.
“My sexuality.”
Richie felt stupid in the moment, he didn’t understand what Eddie was trying to say.
“I was so scared at the time of coming to terms with myself, forcing myself to like what I didn’t. I know you’re going to hate me, but I’m-I’m gay.”
Richies eyes widened at Eddie.
Silence filled the air.
He swore the world stopped. This shouldn’t have been a shocker, but it was.
“That’s why he called you girly-boy.” Richie mumbled.
“I understand if you wanna leave or something- I know I’m so disgusting and it’s not normal at all-”
Richie cut Eddie off and hugged him tightly. “I think it’s cool You’ve came to terms with it all.”
Eddies eyes lit up as Richie broke the hug. “Really?”
“Yeah! I could never do something like that without getting scared.”
Eddie smiled and Richie’s heart raced. The gap between them seemed like the distance from the earth to the moon. So far, yet so close.
He didn’t know why his heart was racing.
He didn’t even know what he was doing, but he suddenly felt something soft against his lips.
He didn’t know who leaned in, nor did he care.
His first kiss.
Eddie quickly pulled away, his face red.
“Shit, shit, shit, I’m so-”
Richie pressed his lips to Eddie’s again, Eddie’s lips moving back against his own for the moment being. He broke it.
“Don’t be.”
(Part two anyone?)

Trip of a Lifetime: Part Three (Reddie)
Warnings: Underage drinking, mild swears
Summary: The Losers go on a trip to wrap up their 18th summer.
Pairings: Richie x Eddie — Bill x Stan — Ben x Bev --- Mike x His Beloved Guitar ;P
Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4
The moon sat high in the sky decorating the landscape with its dim light. The stars embellished the sky’s perfect clarity. The lake glistened as if it were made of a collection of perfectly cut diamonds – And yet all Eddie could seem to look at was Richie splashing around in the water.
He couldn’t keep his eyes off Richie. His lightly defined belly, the way his collar bones stuck out so beautifully, his cute butt – Why couldn’t he just look away? He was almost magnetic to his gaze. The way his laugh seemed to fill the air made Eddie feel a flurry of butterflies in his stomach. Jesus, Richie was perfect.
He found himself trying to focus on other things – anything else – but he kept finding his eyes drifting back to Richie. He got caught a few times, making quick eye contact with him before looking away, but Richie didn’t seem to care too much. He was too focused on splashing Beverly as much as possible.
Bev let out a light squeal as Richie let loose a large collection of water towards her. “Richie! Stop!” she yelled, trying to move backwards. Her telling him to stop only seemed to entice him more as he let loose another large splash. In an act of noble defense, Ben attempted to splash Richie back but only found himself being targeted as well. Richie’s big hands made him the perfect splasher, each time creating an impressive mound of water.
“Eddie, come help me splash these dorks!” Richie said, looking over at where Eddie was standing.
“Looks like you are handling yourself well enough”, Eddie responded, “It wouldn’t even be fair for me to join in when you have those two paddle on the ends of your arms.”
Just as he said this though, both Stan and Bill joined Ben and Bev’s side and started to haul water towards Richie.
“Halp!” exclaimed Richie before falling backwards into the water. Eddie could not help but chuckle. He walked over to where the others were in the water joining them in their laughter. They were all giggling as Richie remerged from the lake.
“Thanks for the help, dingus” Richie said, giving Eddie a splash for himself.
“I don’t think you want to start that up again” warned Bill as a smile spread across his face.
“Oh yea?” Richie tested, letting loose another grand splash towards Bill before turning and sprinting towards the shore. The others followed close behind, trying to spray Richie with as much water as possible before he got back to land. By the time they reached Richie on land, everyone was breathing heavily, laughs escaping between each inhale.
“I’m pooped” panted Ben, wrapping his right arm around Bev’s shoulders.
“Ready for bed, babe?” said Bev, nuzzling her head into his neck. Ben responded with an affirmative hum.
“Well, I am not going to bed until I hear ol’ Mikey Boy play one of his lovely songs on guitar” said Richie as he gave Mike a wink. Everyone agreed, pleading for Mike to pull out his beloved guitar. He smiled and agreed to play them one song before bed.
Somehow Eddie’s cabin ending up being the main hangout place for the trip because all seven of them crammed onto the two beds to hear Mike’s performance. Eddie sat sandwiched between Richie and Bill, though he intentionally sat closer to Richie. Although the dip in the lake had sobered him up a bit, Eddie was still a little drunk from the alcohol earlier. As Mike started to play a song, he couldn’t help but rest his head on the taller boy’s shoulder beside him. His heart fluttered when he felt Richie lean back into him, putting his own head on top of Eddie’s.
It was a blissful few minutes as Mike played. The warmth in his heart that he felt as they sat leaning on each other is something Eddie never wanted to give up, but sadly the song had to end. Richie sat back up straight, stretching his arms towards the roof.
“You sing like an angel” Richie said with a yawn, standing up and giving Mike his classic Richie- smile.
“You flatter me, Tozier” Mike said with a laugh.
Everyone stood up to get organised for bed. It had been a long day and they were exhausted. Eddie yawned as he walked over to his bag to look for his sweater. ‘Crap’ he thought to himself as he sifted through the contents. ‘I forgot my damn sweater.’
Trying not to make a big deal out of it, he pulled out a thin blanket and started towards his bed where Richie was already laying.
“Coming to bed, sweetie?” Richie asked in a high pitch voice.
“Move over you big lug. I’m small, but not that small.”
Richie chuckled as he adjusted his position in the bed to allow more room for Eddie. Eddie got in, wrapping himself in his little blanket.
“That’s all you’ve got?” Richie asked, eyeing the thin blanket that Eddie lay over himself.
“I’ll be fine. I’m warm blooded”
“Whatever you say, Eds” Richie responded as he lay his head back onto the pillow.
Contrary to what he said, he was not fine. Eddie lay shivering under his blanket, still not fully dry from their lake adventures beforehand. He was convinced this was going to be a sleepless night until he felt Richie put his blanket over Eddie, sharing his warm blanket with the smaller boy.
“Your shivering is keeping me up” Richie said softly, pulling Eddie into a spooning position to warm him up. “Lemme warm you up.”
Eddie thought about resisting this move, but instead decided to let his tired and drunken self succumb to Richie’s warm body. “Thanks, Rich.”
“Anything for you, Spaghetti.”

Trip of a Lifetime: Part Two (Reddie)
Warnings: Underage drinking
Summary: The Losers go on a trip to wrap up their 18th summer.
Pairings: Richie x Eddie — Bill x Stan — Ben x Bev
Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4
Part Two:
“Green Valley Campground” read Richie, glancing at the words printed on the campground’s faded sign. “Looks like we’re here, guys!” He exclaimed excitedly, waking up Bill and Stan in the backseat. “The best campground in all the state.”
The campground sat on the edge of a modest lake and was surrounded by a thick mixed-wood forest that continued into the distance, blanketing a collection of small, rounded mountains. The sounds of birds and insects hummed in the overgrowth and a cleansing breeze swept through the air.
Bill had rented two small cabins overlooking the lake in the far corner of the site. He explained that he wanted to avoid getting noise complaints from any neighboring sites, therefor he chose to have one of the more secluded sites. The others agreed that this was a good idea considering they were planning on being fairly loud while they were there.
The campground was not too busy. Tents were sparsely erected between the looming trees, but there seemed to be no significant collection of people around. This was perfect for the Losers because it gave them more freedom to roam around or be a bit loud.
Richie flicked on his turn signal and took a right turn onto a thin dirt road labelled ‘Cabins 3-4’. The red truck that the other Losers were in followed close behind. After a few moments of driving, the forest opened up revealing two humble looking cabins placed a few metres away from each other. Both of which overlooked the lake.
Eddie let out a light gasp. “It’s so pretty.”
“It’s pretty, but it sure isn’t as pretty as you, Eds” Richie said, giving Eddie’s cheek a quick pinch.
Eddie recoiled pushing Richie’s hand out of the way while giggling. “Focus on parking the car, jerk.”
Richie parked his vehicle behind the first of the two cabins and hopped out to direct the truck to the other cabin. Both cabins looked reasonably old, most likely being built within the last 60 years. Quaint bushes lined the outside of the walls and a single pine tree sat between the two cabins. Along the lake, there seemed to be a small beach making it a perfect swimming spot.
After both vehicles had parked, everyone hopped out and ran to check out what was inside.
“Only two beds in this cabin”, Richie smirked, “Dibs sleeping with you, Kasbrak!”
“And why would I want to sleep with you?” Richie shot back playfully.
“Well if you don’t want to sleep with me, I can go sleep with Mikey Boy over in the other cabin”
“No, it’s fine. Let’s share a bed” Eddie quickly said, not wanting to lose an opportunity to share a bed with Richie. It is possible he responded too quickly, though, because Richie gave him a sly smirk before tossing himself onto the twin size bed.
Eddie felt his cheeks turn red out of embarrassment. He did not always do the best job trying to hide his feelings for Richie. He sometimes wondered why he insisted on keeping his sexuality a secret. Was he afraid of the response if he decided to come out? He had recently graduated high school, so it was not like he would have to worry about anyone bullying him from school.
So, what was he so afraid of?
“Hey Stan, check out our little bed” said Bill as he jumped onto it.
Stan wandered over to where Bill was and pressed his hands into the mattress. “Seems sturdy enough, eh?”
Richie let out a groan. “I swear to God if you guys keep me up at night I will personally jump into your bed and kill you both whether you’re in the middle of making out or not.”
Stan and Bill chuckled, giving each other a knowing wink.
The inside of the cabin was modest. There were two beds on opposing walls and a fireplace that sat against the wall opposite the door in the center of the room. In the middle of the room lay a small table surrounded by a few wooden chairs that seemed to have been found at an antique store.
“It’s nice”, Bill said, circling the room with his eyes, “Small, a little dusty, but nice.”
A knock at the door suggested that Ben, Bev and Mike had already checked out their cabin and were ready to start up the evening activities.
“Guess who gets a whole bed to himself” Mike announced as he walked through the door. In his right hand he was carrying a case of beer and in his left some cups and balls. “Now who’s ready to get their ass kicked at some beer pong?”
Eddie had never been particularly good at beer pong, but he decided to join in on the fun anyway. He initially was on Ben’s team, but after a few rounds Richie convinced him to come be his partner.
“You know I am not very good, Right?” Eddie said to Richie after taking a sip of his beer.
“I’ve played with worse. Plus, I’m so good that I might need the handicap to make this a fairer game!” Richie joked, giving Eddie a little nudge.
“Nah, you’ll need all the help you can get”, Mike chided from the other end of the table, “No one beats me and Bill when we’re on a team!”
“Yea! Go Bill!” Stan yelled from his spot by the fire place. Stan had taken it upon himself to get everything set up while the others goofed off and drank. No one else seemed interested in unpacking, lighting a fire, or even preparing food, so he decided to do it himself. Though, he did not mind very much.
Ben and Beverly stood beside the pong table making bets on who would win.
“There’s no way Mike and Bill will lose when they’re playing together. They’re unstoppable” Ben explained to Bev who had chosen to bet on Richie and Eddie.
“Well, I find it much more fun cheering for the underdogs”, she said, smiling at Richie and Eddie, “No offence guys.”
“None taken”, Richie laughed, grabbing a ping pong ball from off the table. “That just means these chums are about to lose to the underdogs.”
Ben ended up being right about the game. Eddie and Richie put up a good fight but ended up losing the game by a few cups. At this point, everyone was quite tipsy, Richie and Eddie more-so after losing their game.
“Let’s go swimming!” Richie excitedly announced after a while, raising his cup into the air.
“It’s pitch black out” voiced Stan, a hint of concern in his tone.
“Don’t be a party pooper!” Richie yelled, his shirt already being pulled over his head. “Let’s go!” He started running out the door towards the lake.
Everyone briefly looked at each other before excitedly running out the door with him, clothes flying left and right and cheers filling the starry night sky. They could already tell this was going to be one of the best weekends of their life.
Thanks for reading.
I swear next chapter will be a bit more spicy.
Please send any feedback you may have in my direction. I’d greatly appreciate it. <3
Next chapter will be out soon.

Trip of a Lifetime: Part One (Reddie)
No warnings for this part~
Summary: The Losers go on a trip to wrap up their 18th summer.
Pairings: Richie x Eddie --- Bill x Stan --- Ben x Bev
Parts: 1, 2, 3, 4
Part One:
How can anyone be so perfect? This question echoed through Eddie’s head as he stared longingly over at his good friend, Richie, who sat perched on the hood of his station wagon. Richie had a cigarette hanging loosely from his soft lips and a wrinkled map outstretched in his lap. His face was twisted into a look of confusion as he tried to interpret the contents of the paper he was looking at. His curly hair fell haphazardly over his forehead, seeming to glow in reaction to the morning sun’s light.
“I swear we are at the right spot” he muttered to himself, adjusting his glasses. “Why aren’t the others here yet?” Richie took another drag of his cigarette before looking of at Eddie.
“Whatcha lookin’ at there, Eds?”
Eddie suddenly fell out of his trance, awkwardly pretending to look somewhere else.
“You know I don’t like you calling me Eds” he responded, choosing to avoid his question.
“Alrighty, Eds” Richie said, a smirk sliding onto his face as he looked back down at the map. There was a short silence before Richie spoke up again. “Why the hell didn’t we just meet up at someone’s house? I swear Bill always has to over-complicate things like this.”
“We’ve explained this a million times”, Eddie answered, “Bill and Stan’s parents don’t want them going on this road trip together. They don’t exactly support their kid’s relationship with each other.”
The sound of breaking sticks could be heard as Stan emerged from the trees behind them, buckling up his belt.
“I heard my name. What are you guys talking about?” Stan inquired, still struggling to buckle up his belt.
“Can you explain again to Richie why we have to meet here?” Eddie sighed, “Apparently the reason didn’t get through his thick skull the first few times we explained it to him.”
Richie made a face at Eddie causing Stan to chuckle.
“It’d be an understatement to say that neither Bill nor my parents support our relationship. So that’s why I made my parents think I am going on this road trip with only you guys, and Bill told his parents that he is going with only Bev, Ben and Mike. Because both of our parents have eyes all around town, we need to meet somewhere will no one will see us meet up.” He explained. “If they find out we’re going together, they’ll freak.”
“Well you guys are sure making things complicated” Richie joked, scruffling Stan’s hair.
The boys sat there making small talk for a few minutes when a small red truck pulled up beside them causing dust to fill the summer air. Out of the vehicle emerged the four remaining Losers: Bill, Bev, Ben, and Mike.
Stan jumped up and ran over to Bill, enveloping him in a passionate hug, and then giving him a big wet kiss.
“Blech! Get a room” Yelled Richie jokingly. Everyone in the group laughed.
“Good to s-see you t-too, Richie” Bill responded.
“Alright guys, we don’t have all day”, Bev said, “Let’s get going!”
The others agreed and hopped into their respective vehicles before heading out onto the road.
Richie’s hair danced delicately to the warm summer air as a soft breeze blew in through the open car window. His voice filled the air as he sang along to the radio. Although his singing voice was not spectacular, Eddie loved listening to it. It had a sort of calming effect for him. Eddie had liked Richie basically since they first met, and he had only grown to like him more and more over the years. Richie had come out as bisexual 3 years prior, yet Eddie still remained in the closet and hid his true feelings.
“Do you mind?” Bill groaned from the backseat, “Stan and I are trying to sleep here.”
“Why did we end up with the snoozer losers in this car? Sleep is for the night. Live while you can!” Richie exclaimed playfully. But he knew Bill and Stan were not planning on sleeping much that night, so he turned the volume down and turned to look at Eddie. He had his head resting against his seatbelt as he gazed out at the passing trees, his dark hair swaying to the flow of incoming air.
“Want me to put up the window, Eddie Spaghetti? I’d hate if that breeze ruined your perfect hair.”
Eddie turned around to look at Richie. “You should be worrying about your own hair instead, Rich. It looks like you used it to mop the boys locker-room.”
Richie displayed a look of fake hurtfulness, then replaced it with a warm smile. “I’m glad your mom let you come on this trip, Eds. It would not be as fun without you.”
Eddie let out a soft laugh and glanced back out the window. “When are you going to stop calling me ‘Eds’?”
Richie grinned, “I ain’t kidding around, Spaghetti… I’m super happy you’re coming.”
Eddie turned to look at him again and their eyes met briefly before Eddie looked away blushing.
“I’m happy I am coming too. This is going to be a trip of a lifetime”
Thanks for reading. This is the first part of the series so any feedback y’all have to give would be sick.
