That wasn't a very smart move on his part. If I may add, he's done this before to me," she said quietly. "So it's more of a 'Ronin' thing then a 'Ronin with you' thing. Doesn't make it less of an issue, though."

She was seemingly unconcerned with the vines slowly curling around Nod, flicking against his skin teasingly as they slithered into place. "There, done!" she chirped, giving Tess a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you!" She looked at Nod out of the corner of her eye with a small smirk before smiling back at Tess.

"Yeah, yeah," M.K said with a roll of her eyes as she sat upright, being sure to stay close enough that Tess could brush her hair with ease. "Don't worry about the braiding, Tess," she assured. "I can do it on my own. It's just nice to have someone else help get all the tangles out."

M.K mirrored Tess's playful look at Nod. "Hair first, then you can plead your case," she said loftily, a smirk curling across her lips.

She didn't know how to broach the topic that it wasn't just Shaydon's request that made her want to stay inside, so she latched onto Aurie's last sentence instead. "How are things with you and Ronin?" she asked. "I mean, we don't have to talk about it, but you make it sound like something's up."
