Someone standing close to him (without malicious intentions)
Someone bringing him a meal after he has been studying all day (he forgets to eat sometimes)
He is a very touchy and will lean close to someone or absent-mindedly touch someone, so when they do that in return or don't push him away it's nice (he REALLY needs a hug for 10 minutes)

Does/did he have a human trapped somewhere and it was just some random person of the street and we just have NO idea? Would they be trapped in the twilight palace and if so where? He never stuck around un the world of light unless he really needed to so I don't think they would be hidden there...
