Royaltea Treatment 4
[Part 1]  [Part 2]  [part 3]
Patton made sure he wore some of his older clothes and adjusted the expensive wig on top of his head. Fooling Roman was one thing but going out into public was another. Though, if Patton really did want to date Roman seriously, he was going to have to come clean. Perhaps if this date was successful and they wanted to try a second date? Was that too soon? That might be too soon.. or Patton’s anxieties telling him otherwise.
He shook the thoughts from his head and pulled over, checking he had the right address. Then he shot Roman a text, letting him know he had arrived and asking if he should meet at the door. A quick response told Patton to make his way to the door while Roman finished getting ready.
A deep breath to steady his nerves and Patton made his way up to the front door, knocking before he got too nervous to continue. He literally had performed on stages and in movies and commercials in front of tons of unfamiliar faces but this was far scarier to him.
The door opened to an unfamiliar face staring back at him. “Can I help you?”
Patton tensed up and panicked. “Oh, we have the same glasses!” The figure stared back, an eyebrow arching up as he remained stoic. “Sorry, um, is Roman here?”
“And you are...?”
“I’m his date. Tonight. He told me to come in and wait?”
The figure at the door eyed Patton a moment longer before opening the door and stepping out of the way. “Please, come on in.” Patton nodded and quickly rushed his way inside. “I’m sorry, I did not realize you were the ‘Pat’ he had talked about. Roman should be down shortly. He was yelling about shirts not long ago.”
“Oh, hah, dating jitters. I get them too.” Patton glanced around and appreciated the quaint home they were living in. “It’s a nice place you have here!”
“It is. I’m quite fond of it but there isn’t quite enough space for the three of us here.”
“Three?”
“Oh, my boyfriend lives here as well.” Patton watched as the man smirked a bit to himself. “Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Logan.”
“I’m Pat! It’s nice to meet you!” They quickly shook hands and Patton looked to the stairs. “So, how do you know Roman?”
“We go way back. He needed someone to help with his finances to open his own business and I assisted him.”
“Well, you did a wonderful job! I love that little shop of his!”
Logan sighed and nodded. “If only everyone did.”
“I’M COMING!” Roman ran down the stairs quickly, his hair bouncing as he made his decent. “Sorry to keep you waiting!”
When Roman turned to Patton and smiled, Patton knew immediately then. I’m gonna have to tell him.
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Patton gripped the steering wheel while he drove them to the restaurant. Roman complimented his car as he buckled up and jumped right back into where their text message conversation had ended. They were nonstop over the last 24 hours, talking about everything they could think of. Patton listened happily the whole way while trying not to panic.
When they pulled into the restaurant, the vallet took Patton’s car and Roman took his arm. Patton had the reservation under a different name and he grit his teeth as Roman hummed to himself, taking in the view.
They were seated quickly and ordered their beverages, Patton telling Roman that it was on him and to not hold back.
“This is amazing, Pat!” Roman smiled down at the menu. “Are you sure you don’t want me to pay you back? This place is a little pricey.”
“I want you to have fun and not worry about numbers, Roman. Get what you want.”
“Are you sure?” Patton smiled and nodded as Roman glanced back down. “You never told me what you did for a living! Must pay well.”
“Oh, it does I guess. I um... work in entertainment.”
“Ha! That explains it.” Roman chuckled to himself and peeked over his menu. “Remy has told me that someone famous could walk through the front doors of the bakery and I wouldn’t have a clue. I, um...” Roman cleared is throat and dropped the menu a bit. “I wanted to be a singer. Took lessons and everything, but... I get really bad stage fright. So I don’t really look at tv or movies or music anymore.”
“Oh, Ro...”
“It’s fine. I’ve gotten over it long ago. And I love baking! It just makes sense. Remy has dropped hints after you came in when Thomas was working. I never heard what they had said but I guessed you had to be someone sort of important if that was the case.”
Patton sighed, a weight being lifted knowing he wasn’t really lying, but the unease didn’t waver. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. I wanted to! I planned to if this went anywhere.”
Roman smiled at him and things went quiet while a server took their orders. Roman fussed a bit before caving. “Okay, so I just have to know. Are you a singer or an actor? Or something different?”
Patton smirked and looked down at his menu. “I dunno, what do you think?”
“Oh, Pat! Come on, tell me! I’m dying to know!”
“Hmm... Nope.” Patton smiled. “But maybe... I’ll tell you on the next date.”
Roman perked up immediately. “I get a second date already? We’ve barely started this one!”
“I knew you were getting a second date the moment you ran down those stairs honestly.” Patton fluttered his eyes. “I can’t resist a good looking man willing to rush to me like that.”
Roman flushed and chuckled, hiding behind his menu. “I’ll just have to make the next date memorable then!”

Royaltea Treatment 3
[Part 1]  [Part 2]
Patton has fallen in love with a cute little bakery after just one visit (and the cute owner is just a bonus.) The problem now is... Does he ask him out? Will the cashier really rat him out as a celebrity and ruin his chance to make a first impression as a nobody?
Patton had gotten the courage to go back to the bakery just two days later. Remy’s mocking tone pushed him enough after all. He mentally practiced the speech all the way to Royaltea bakery but immediately lost all his nerve as soon as he entered.
There were a few more people today than Patton was used to so he tugged on his hat and tried to relax and act casual. He waited for the lines to shorten before deciding to order, hoping that Remy’s mocking face would bring back some of that courage he needed.
There was just one problem. As he got closer, he looked up at the cashier. It wasn’t Remy. I mean, of course he couldn’t run the registers all day every day! But for some reason, that was a curve ball Patton hadn’t seen in his daydream as he built himself up for this moment. The worst part? When Patton walked up and smiled, he noted how the man perked up and smiled a bit wider. His eyes lit up but he seemed to try and contain himself. He recognized Patton.
“Hi there! How may we treat you today?” Patton smiled at him, glancing down and taking note of his name tag. ‘Thomas.’
“Hi there, Thomas! I see Remy isn’t in today.” Patton laughed awkwardly as Thomas brightened up a bit more, immediately regretting his words. Great. Now he knows I’ve been here before.
“No, he has today off. I work here part time to help out in between jobs.”
“O-oh. That’s nice. What else do you do?”
Thomas seemed to deflate a bit and his smile faltered. “I, um... I’m an actor, actually.”
Oh, he’s shy... “That’s awesome! Anything I may have seen?”
“Oh, definitely not! A few small jobs here and there but nothing big. It’s been hard, but I knew that when I moved out here.”
“Well, keep your head up, Thomas. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to stumble upon something soon!”
“Yeah, maybe...” Thomas smiled back and seemed to relax for a moment before he jumped. “Oh, I’m sorry! What is it that you’d like? I mean, what would you like to order?”
Patton chuckled as Thomas grew red from embarrassment. “Calm down, it’s just me. You’re fine.”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Patton!”
Patton panicked and hushed Thomas before glancing around, hoping no one heard them. “I don’t want anyone to know I’m here!”
“Oh.” The defeated tone that came from Thomas was so drastically different from his previously chipper tone that Patton almost got whiplash from turning back around so soon. “Do you not like this place?”
“Huh? Of course I do!”
“Well... Wouldn’t more people come if they knew a celebrity liked this place?”
“That’s the problem. I like being able to come here and relax where no one knows it’s me. I won’t get that if I tell people I stop by. Thomas had a thoughtful look on his face while he nodded but didn’t say anything more. The celebrity took the opportunity to speak before he tried backing out again. “Actually, I um... I came here to talk to Roman.”
That got the worker to perk up as he started to smile. “Yeah? I’ll get him for you! Just wait right here!” Thomas nearly sprinted through the doors to the back and vanished from sight.
Patton felt his heart panicking in his chest. What was he gonna tell Roman? He came here to ask him out but... he couldn’t go through with that! It would be so embarrassing! He’d never live it down! He had to think of another excuse and quickly!
“Pat?”
Darn. “Oh, hi Roman! That was quick...”
Roman was wiping his hands on a small towel. His hair was slicked back and he gave Patton a smile that made the celebrity’s knees weak. “Hey, Pat. Thomas said you wanted to talk to me?”
“Yes! Um...” Patton cleared his throat. “I was wondering if you’d, uh...” Patton’s shoulders hiked up high as he braced himself. “Make me a cake?”
“Oh! Really?”
Patton shut his eyes and let out a loud sigh. “No! I actually... wanted to ask you on a date!” Patton waited a moment before peaking at Roman, trying not to panic. “Sorry, I-”
Roman’s face was completely red as his smile bloomed across his face. “Yes! I mean, I’d love to!”
“Wait, really?”
“Of course! I didn’t think you’d be interested and I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable and not want to come back...”
“Of course I’m interested! Uh, I mean...” Thomas snickered at the pair and Roman sent him a glare. “I can pick you up tomorrow night?”
“Yes! Here, I’ll give you my phone number, okay?”
“Oh. S-sure...” Patton pulled out his phone and held it close. “Just... I don’t like giving it out so don’t let anyone see, okay?”
“I promise, cross my heart.” Roman drew an X over his heart, holding up a hand as he swore. Patton handed over his phone after opening to ‘new contact’ and let Roman tap away. When he handed it back, Patton saw ‘Roman Skye Cutie Pie’ staring back from his screen and couldn’t help the flutter he felt in his chest. “So,” Roman started once more. “I’ll see you tomorrow night?”
“Yeah. Tomorrow.” Patton held the phone to his chest as he smiled. “I’ll see you then!”
-------------------------
It happened and Remy wasn’t there! Because I like the idea of adding Thomas for the ‘gay moment’. And I have an idea of what to do next! This will only be a few chapters long, though. But! They’re already about to have a date!

Royaltea Treatment 2
[Part 1]
Tagging those who said they were interested on part 1! Sorry it took so long!!
“I recognize you.”
“Y-you do?” Patton felt his heart drop. His disguise had hidden him well enough the first time that he had hoped it would again... It had been a few weeks since he had walked into the doors of the Royaltea Bakery and seen the dazzling redhead the first time. His movie had released and was a success and Patton finally had time to breathe. Until now.
“Of course! I remember that face!”
“O-oh...”
Roman smiled and pointed at him. “Pat, right? You were here a few weeks ago!”
What?
“Yeah! I’m glad to see you came back!”
“Oh! Yes! That’s me! I’m surprised you remembered me.”
“I never forget a smiling face of a happy customer!” Roman blushed and chuckled a bit. “Sorry, you came here for a snack, not to talk! So, how may I Treat you today?”
Oh goodness. Even his slogan was adorable. “Um, what do you recommend?”
Roman hummed and crossed his arms. “You pick the food and I’ll pick the tea to pair it with? How about that?”
Roman had chosen the tea without telling Patton what it was, ringing it up with his order before disappearing back into the kitchen. A moment later, the same man from last time walked out and smiled at Patton before walking over.
“What can I help you with?”
“I already ordered. Sorry, am I in the way?” Remy, Patton checked his nametag again to make sure he was remembering correctly, raised a brow at him before tilting to the side and looking back into the small bakery. There weren’t many tables to sit and all of them were completely empty. “Ah...”
“It’s the slow time of the day during a non busy part of the year. You’re good, babe. No sweat.” Patton nodded and looked back at Remy as he leaned across the counter. “So, Roman took your order, huh? Weird, he usually doesn’t leave the back. You must be special.”
Patton jumped and shook his head. “No, not me! Completely normal guy, nothing special!”
Remy huffed and pushed against the counter to stand. “Man, you are cute. Roman better get smart before someone else tries to sweep you off your feet.”
Roman better... huh?! “Wait, what are you talking about?”
“Patton. Sweetie. I’ve been working for Roman Skye for years. I know when that man has a crush. He kept talking about how much you would light up when eating his food. I mean, he told me to stay in the back just so he could talk to you!”
Roman... had a crush? “But he doesn’t even know me!”
“That’s the point, isn’t it? I mean, I thought you’d be into dating a guy who doesn’t realize you’re a famous actor.”
“WHAT?!” Patton slapped his hands over his mouth in shock as Remy smirked at him.
Roman came out of the back door in a panic before looking around. “Is everything alright?!”
“Sorry, boss man. Just surprised this cutie right here a bit.”
Roman glared at his associate before nodding. “Try not to scare the customers away? I’m almost done.”
As the doors swung closed, Patton slowly moved his hands away to speak. “You know who I am?”
“Sweetie, I pass a billboard with your face on it everyday. Roman is just a bit oblivious to these things.” Patton deflated at the realization that his disguise was a flop. He was just lucky he wasn’t in a busy place with a lot of people. “I won’t out you, but only if you ask Roman out on a date.”
“...Are you blackmailing me to go out on a date with your boss?”
“Maybe. I’m hoping he’ll give me a Christmas bonus this year.”
Patton was not enjoying himself as much as Remy seemed to be. “It’s not a very good blackmail, you know.”
“I know, but it’s someone you think is cute and if people find out, you lose a cute little place with an even cuter baker to enjoy.”
Patton eyed the back door to the kitchen for a moment. “Is it just you two here?”
“Oh, goodness no! We’re always doing some sort of event or something. There’s a team of people back there. I just answer the phones and take orders, but like I said. It’s been slow lately so I don’t have to do much. To be honest? This is the most interesting thing that’s happened in months.”
Patton scrunched his nose at that. “My personal life is not for your entertainment.”
“Maybe not, but I’m also doing this for Ro, ya know? Guy needs to get away from work and you seem like just the guy.”
“Alright, Pat!” Roman backed out of the kitchen with plates in his hands, balancing everything perfectly. “Lunch is served! Where would you like to sit?”
“Um, over there, I guess.”
Roman happily marched over to the table and set it up with the food and tea he had prepared. Patton looked over at Remy who smiled and wiggled his eyebrows at him. “I’ll give you til the next time you come back to ask him.”
“What makes you think I’ll come back?”
“Because I know Roman personally stopped whatever he was working on to make you lunch.” Patton jumped at the news. “You don’t have to, of course. I’ll never actually tell him, but I figured I’d give you the push.”
“... Like I said, I’ll think about it.”

Royaltea Treatment
Sanders Sides Royality bakery/cafe au fic
Fresh off the red carpet from his latest movie, Patton decided that a bit of time off was just what he needed. After all the interviews and PR his manager had set up for him in preparation of his latest Big Screen Debut, the movie star wanted a bit of alone time to sit back and relax. Of course, there was always something waiting for him just over the horizon so each moment was one he couldn’t take for granted.
After a trip to his wardrobe in an attempt to disguise himself, Patton was dropped off downtown and given the afternoon to explore to his hearts content. He avoided busier streets, scrolling through his phone and looking for places to go to off the beaten path.
That’s how he found Royaltea Treats. A bakery just out of the busy district of the bustling city. A quick peek inside the window already had Patton salivating. They looked so cute! Almost too cute to eat, but Patton was willing to make the sacrifice.
It wasn’t too busy inside, a few patrons in line and pointing into the cases, making comments at how delicious everything looked. Patton stood in the back, looking over his options before stepping into the line. Most people walked out with bags in their hands. Few took one of the tables on the side and sat down, chatting with friends.
Stepping up to the register, Patton smiled at the man behind the counter as he moved around. “How may I help you?” He smiled, his hair slicked back and a name tag pinned to the apron he wore. Remy. He/Him. The addition to the pronouns on the name tag were a wonderful touch!
Patton decided to order a sandwich made from fresh bread baked that morning with a slice of mousse cake for dessert. He had certainly earned it after his strict diet they had him on the last few months! Paired with a warm latte, Patton took a seat and Remy promised it would be brought to his table.
It was a cute little place, the paintings of castles and fairytales on the wall fit the ‘royal’ theme they seemed to have. Photos of wedding cakes in the styles of royal castles seemed to have been their theme. How had he never heard of this place? It was definitely a place he had to come back to.
“Here you are, your sandwich and latte.” Patton perked up and looked over at the new voice. It wasn’t Remy this time. His name tag said Roman and he smiled down at Patton, as he placed the food down on his table. “I’ll be back with your dessert shortly.”
Patton’s eyes followed after the tall redhead as he retreated back behind the counter. Remy nodded as he walked by, taking the next person’s order as Roman disappeared behind a door. How can someone make a hairnet look so good? Snapping out of it, Patton looked down and took his cup, letting the heat from the ceramic warm his hands. Patton closed his eyes and inhaled the aroma of his drink, letting out a deep sigh after. This is just what he needed. A moment away from everything with warm food and a calm atmosphere.
“Here’s your cake!”
And a cute baker as well.
“Oh, thank you!”
Roman dusted off his hands on his apron and smirked at Patton before tilting his head. “I’m sorry, you seem familiar. Have you been here before?”
Crud, Patton’s flimsy disguise was failing!
“Uh, no. Just sort of stumbled upon this place by accident!”
“Well, then!” Roman proudly placed his hands on his hips. “I hope you enjoy it and come back!”
Placing his cup back down, Patton smiled and hoped his blush wasn’t too obvious. “If it tastes half as good as it looks, I certainly will!”
Roman smiled even more, warmth radiating off of him. He seemed to demand attention where he stood and Patton was more than willing to give it. “Oh, why thank you! I do try my best! I poured my heart and soul into this place!”
“You’re the owner, then?”
“Yep! Professional baker! Roman Skye at your service!”
Roman reached out, extending his hand. Patton smiled and grabbed it with his own. “My friends call me Pat!”
“Well then, Pat. I do hope you enjoy your meal and come back! I love seeing familiar faces.”
“I’m sure I will, thank you.”
Roman left him to eat, retreating back behind the doors once more. Patton’s eyes followed after him before they flickered up at Remy. He was standing behind the counter, watching Patton with a smirk on his face. As the celebrity blushed and ducked his head, Remy rolled his eyes and went back to work.
“Oblivious, both of them.” He mumbled to himself, wiping down the counter. His boss was in for a wild ride if Patton ever came back, he knew. And there was no way he was going to be the one to tell him he was subtly flirting with a celebrity. Oh, no. When Roman finds out, that was a moment he would pay to see. Until then, he can sit back and watch the two stumble around each other.
