I’ll say this once. Then I’ll shut my bitch ass up and go back to do my own things.

The HL controversy terrifies me. Keep in mind that I am a queer and a social worker who helps children who are endangered by poverty and/or ethnical stereotypes as well as helping mentally incapacitated people persuading jobs, so social interactions and relationships are a huge deal in my field. I’m baffled upon reading what y’all capable of coming up with.

No matter on which side of the barricade you’re standing on, y’all saying some of the most spiteful, hateful and vilest shit I’ve read in A WHILE. Keep in mind I am a part of tLoU fandom and I despise their practice. Yet even the most heated debates are nothing compared to the shit I’m reading.

Listen to yourself. Stop yourself for a bit and reflect of what you’re doing to other people. I’ve seen people coming for other people’s throats simply because they weren’t educated enough in the topics surrounding the HP franchise as of last, give or take, 5-10 years. Let me repeat - INSTEAD of educating the people about the issues they might not pay your amount of attention to, what y’all did is bully into oblivion. I’ve seen people TELLING OTHERS TO OFF THEMSELVES. And my heart breaks over admitting that those very people are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

This is a rather sensitive territory and for thousands people, it threads the line between simply living a normal life and being cast to the outskirts of society - and I do understand that. BUT emotionally hurting and extorting others isn’t helping the cause. If anything it will make even bigger of a flame and it won’t end up well for either side.

Please, I fucking urge you to keep in mind that there’s always a possibility that someone won’t withstand the emotions and arguments brought up and they will actually take their own life. And I suppose it won’t feel good going to sleep, knowing you might’ve been the reason of said actions. I will admit that I’ve reported more than one post who openly called for people who PLAY A VIDEO GAME TO OFF THEMSELVES and that it’s been taken down swiftly. And no, before you butt in, it’s not because I’m a terf or an anti-semite. It’s because 2023 and this is League of Legends level of toxicity.

I beg you, be kinder and help people understand your reasoning with words. There’s so much hatred in the world already, is it too much to ask you to act civil?

Ministry of Magic Lego set!

Made a new sideblog specifically for HP stuff! I’m so stoked for Hogwarts Legacy, my partner bought me the deluxe preorder for Christmas and I’m so excited!!

I also recently did a Harry Potter Lego set, the ministry of magic one. It was pretty cool, but I want to do the train one so bad!

A few things about me in relation to HP…

I don’t really like the movies; I’ve only seen the last few once, when they came out in theatres. I’ve also never seen the Fantastic Beasts movies. Though they are far from perfect and have numerous plotholes, prejudices, and a majorly flawed world, I still love the books almost as much as I did when I was young. I regularly listen to them on audiobook (Stephen Fry version only!) while working and am probably more familiar with them now than I’ve ever been!

Books: Half Blood Prince, and Prisoner of Azkaban

House: Hufflepuff (Ravenclaw second)
