I thought that you and I were forever that our names would go down side by side in the stories but I guess I was wrong. I guess there are ways that people can become unrecognizable , ways that your heart can start beating out of sync with mine but I never imagined it would happen like this. Left behind, left alone, everything we wished we said, bloody and dust on the ground where we tore our souls to sherds. In the effort to cause the other the most pain, you always hurt the ones you love the best and I wish I could say that my heart didn’t still beat to your name, I wish I could say that I believed we’d get to see that sunrise.
