12/11/2021: Winter Props
Night time temperatures have dropped to below 40F, so I moved my plant babies into the garage. I know the temp should be warmer... But this is the best I could do. My burro tail tray and a couple of others are inside the house.
Also, I can't believe how big some of my props are. The fuzzy pandas are very obvious! They were just single leaves 6 months ago!

12/11/2021: String Plants
Most of my string plants have outgrown their pots and had roots growing through the bottom. I decided to separate them into smaller pots to propagate them. My goal is to consolidate these plants into one super full large pot in the future.

Tubers formed on a few banana stems!

I left my String of Pearls 4" pot and a Variegated SOP 3" pot alone. I can't believe the 4" pot was originally a 2" pot from April 2021!
Nervous that the repotted ones will die... since this is the wrong time for repotting! We'll see. All of my string plants are living indoors until the night time temps increase.

11/20/21- Winter Update
Pros:
Starting to notice which plants are summer dormant! Seeing growth in plants that haven't changed since Spring.
Plants don't need to be watered as often
Propagations still growing
Cons:
More (?) chance of rot due to cooler weather. Still not sure which plants are summer/winter dormant
Something is eating my plants, slugs? Noticable chunks in a few leaves
More aphids and mites... Many plants are isolated right now and need to be checked constantly
More rain. Need to buy storage racks for my plant trays
Less sunlight, plants are getting taller

All of my SOH are flowering! Too bad I rather have leaves.
Baby Burro Tails 馃槏 They're so annoyingly fragile though.
Teeny tiny SOT leaves have sprouted!
A few cute babies/pups have shown up! I almost didn't notice them.
This Tokyo Sun plant was doing well, but then I think it got dehydrated at the end of summer. A bunch of aerial roots appeared, and I noticed new buds sprouting from the soil. I decided to cut off the tops and replant them. Hopefully I get healthy new plants and the original continues to grow.

This plant has grown a lot! Many other props in the background... They appear to be crested?
This plant was accidentally beheaded... Now it has two new heads!
New growth on the purpleish one and the green moonstones, which I haven't seen since Spring.

9/29/2021 - Plants in the Rain
It rained unexpectedly one night. Although the plants were moved to a covered area, I forgot to check the trays for excess water :(
This tray had some water left, so I'm worried all of them are slowly going to rot and/or drop leaves. Multiple plants in this tray are already showing signs of plumped and squishy leaves.
Man.. I can already feel the upcoming Fall/Winter lessons I'm going to have to learn this year. I guess I'll depot these to check for signs of rotting.
... was also stupid and careless. I dropped a plant tray over some leaves and chopped them off.... So stupid of me.

9/22/2021- Propagation
Some of the burro tail beans are getting big. I consolidated them to one tray.
More small bean-like leaves.
These leaves are huge! They were originally 3 pacts, but I split the rosettes up.
My turtles are starting to produce new leaves.
My string of hearts have flowers!

Rescue Attempts
The root ball for this plant was so tightly packed. When I repotted it, I was too scared of breaking up the roots, but after a while, I noticed the leaves would shrivel after only a day or two of being "deeply watered." I check out the roots again and felt that the water wasn't penetrating the root ball. I broke apart the root ball with a chopstick and repotted. It seems to be doing okay.
This stonecrop dried out from not being watered enough. I have to pull off the bottom leaves and repot the plants. Tons of leaves for propagation.
Bought this online and it arrived like this... Really dried out. It even has air roots. Continuously watering it and it seems to be healing.
This plant suddenly had a lot of aphids. Not sure where they came from, but it started changing color and dropping. I sprayed the plant with an alcohol/soap mixture over multiple days. The aphids are gone and the mature leaves are still unhealthy, but there's a ton of new growth! A bunch of air roots popped up, so I started watering it more frequently.
This plant had some spider mites... And I sprayed it with diluted alcohol.... But I don't think the plant liked it. The stems shriveled up and changed to a darker color. I cut this plant up in hopes I can propagate it.
The variegated pearls my coworker gave me started to die at work (Too dry? Too wet?). I cut up the strands and kept them in propagation trays to encourage root growth... And they did so well! These were moved to a normal pot.
The string of hearts I have had some strands that accidentally came off. I did the "butterfly" or "chop and prop" method. Each pair was in a propagation tray, but when I noticed roots growth, I moved the pair to a 2" container. These did so well and a flower grew.
... for some reason, I really can't keep this plant alive. Maybe I'm overwaterimg it?? The first one isn't thriving and this second one fell apart.

9/22/21 - More New Plants

Important note... I accidentally bought a plant with a shit ton of aphids or something. Tiny green bugs. I had to quarantine that plant and a few other suspicious ones I had next to it in my car. They haven't died yet, but they did have to be chopped up and repropagated (no pics).

Scorched Plants
More plant mistakes I made during our heatwave :(
Forgot to keep the soil moist for this fern and it dried out.
I was in a rush and surface watered some plants. That was a mistake, since I didn't cover them with shade cloth... It looks like the water on the surface got too hot and burnt the plant stem. I don't think it's rot, since only a segment of the stem is bad.
Had to cut off the top and reroot the cutting.
Forgot to water these. For the sedum, I cut off the dead parts. For the healthy clusters, I cut them off and am trying to reroot them. I left two clusters in the original soil pot.

July 2021 - New Plants!
Super behind on posting photos. Here's a few plant hauls.
String of pearls from my co-worker as a gift.
Plants from an online order. A heart fern, some string of turtles, a couple cacti segments, and a freebie Sempervivum. The turtles were in rough shape.
The only new plant in the photo above the the large fuzzy one purchased from Lowe's.
String of hearts that was on clearance at an SF plant store. It wasn't in terrible shape, but was dehydrated. I cut off the dry/dead bits and gave it a drink after repotting.
More plants from an online order. Flapjacks, a moonglow (?), silver dollar vine, and a ric rac cactus.
