chapter seven
October 3rd
-
It was around 10 in the morning. Still a little cloudy out but sunnier. Saul quietly opened the door to the guest room where Luna had been sleeping. His firm gaze met her soft body lying on the bed with her plushie beside her. She looked so peaceful... so sweet. He figured it was time to wake her for the breakfast he made. He gently walked over, looking at her vulnerable body, how innocent she looked lying there. Her glasses off and nightgown riding up a little, bunched around her soft thighs. He walked over to the side of the bed, his larger calloused but oh-so-gentle hand softly on her smooth thigh. He almost groaned at the feel of her skin, his hand rubbing her thigh gently, sliding to her inner thigh. She whimpered softly and quietly in her sleep, shifting a little. His eyes darkening. His hand softly rubbing her inner thigh. He slowly withdrew his hand before walking quietly out. Waiting for her to awake and come downstairs. She stirred, her eyes fluttering open as she slowly regained consciousness, her surroundings coming into focus.
Luna blinked a few times, her vision adjusting to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, she felt a pang of confusion, struggling to remember where she was and why she was there. Then, the events of the previous night came rushing back, and she sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes. Reaching to put her glasses on again. her mind still a bit foggy. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up, noticing that her nightgown was slightly wrinkled and very faintly damp from the rain. She smoothed it down, trying to regain some semblance of composure. Luna took a deep breath, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
After a few minutes, she felt a bit more awake and presentable. She picked up her teddy bear, giving it a comforting squeeze, laying it on the bed, before heading downstairs to see Saul. As she descended the staircase, she noticed the aroma of freshly cooked food wafting through the air, making her stomach rumble with hunger. The dining area was just as cozy as the rest of the house, with a dark wooden table set for two. A plate of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon awaited her. a warm smile on his face as he gestured for her to sit down. Her gaze was soft and appreciative. She hadn’t had this good of a meal in forever.
"Good morning, Luna," he said, his tone gentle and welcoming. "I hope you like pancakes."
Luna smiled so sweetly and happily. "I love pancakes!" she replied, taking a seat across from him. "t-thank you so much Mr hudson- I- I don’t know what to say" she was rambling a bit. It always happened when she was happy or anxious.
"It's my pleasure," Saul said, his eyes twinkling with a hint of something she couldn't quite place.
They began eating, the clinking of cutlery the only sound for a few moments. Luna savored the food, realizing just how hungry she was.
"So, Luna," Saul began after a while, his tone casual yet inquisitive. "Tell me some more about yourself. What do you like to do? Do you have any hobbies besides drawing?” Luna hesitated for a moment, feeling a bit shy. But Saul's genuine interest made her feel more comfortable. "Well, I love animals.." she said, her eyes lighting up slightly at the mention of her favorite pastime. "I-I care so very much for animals..” she said gently.
Saul nodded, interested. "That's very sweet." Luna smiled softly, feeling a sense of warmth from his words. "Anything else you enjoy doing?" Luna thought for a moment, feeling a bit more at ease with the conversation. "I also like reading," she said. Saul's eyes gleamed with interest. but something else as well."That's fascinating, Luna. You must have a vivid imagination."
Luna blushed slightly at the compliment. "yea.."
“anything else?”
Luna hesitated for a moment. She didn’t wanna bore him with all the stuff so she kept it short. “I- I like flowers.. and plants as well.” She said softly. Taking a sip of orange juice in the glass cup next to her.
He grinned. “how fascinating..”
They continued talking, the conversation flowing naturally as they shared more about themselves. Despite her initial wariness, Luna found herself feeling more comfortable with Saul. His kindness and genuine interest in her life made her feel seen and valued, something she hadn't experienced in a long time. it was around 11 now. Her and Saul just finished talking, “well.. thank you for everything Mr Hudson.. but I should probably go now.. I don’t wanna bother you or anything.. plus I need to find my way back home.” Luna said softly. Looking at him as he sat across the table for her. Saul’s eyes darkened, she couldn’t go. Not now.. not ever. Plus.. the sweet girl had nothing to go back for. What would she go back for? Her mom? Her mom was just gonna be mean again. Never gonna Change.
Saul's smile faded, replaced with an almost dark look. "Luna, you don't have to go back to that," he said firmly. "You can stay here as long as you need. I have plenty of space, and I don’t mind the company.” Luna hesitated, her eyes searching his for sincerity. "I... I don't want to be a burden," she said softly, feeling torn between her gratitude and her desire to not impose.
Saul reached across the table and placed his larger calloused reassuring hand over her smaller soft one. "You're not a burden, Luna. Far from it. I enjoy having you here." Luna's heart softened at his words, and she found herself considering his offer more seriously. The idea of returning to her mother's house, where she faced constant neglect and disdain, filled her with dread. Here, with Saul, she felt a glimmer of hope—something she hadn't felt in a long time. Still, a part of her couldn't shake the feeling that there was something she didn't fully understand about him.
"Are you sure, Mr Hudson?" she asked tentatively. “Saul.” He corrected sternly. “S-Saul sorry.” "I mean, I don't want to disrupt your life or anything."
Saul's eyes met hers, filled with a mix of warmth and something deeper, something she couldn't quite place. "I'm sure. I want to help you, I want to make sure you're happy." Luna smiled softly, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Thank you, Saul. I can't tell you how much this means to me."
Saul's smirk grew, satisfied with her response. "It's no trouble at all, Luna. Now, how about we spend the day doing something fun? Maybe we could go out and get you a new sketchbook and some art supplies. What do you think?" He said. Luna thought it was an act of kindness, but what the poor girl didn’t know was that he was trying to bribe her. Make her see he’s kind, and stay with him.
Luna's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "That sounds wonderful! I've been wanting to draw again, but I didn't have the chance to get my things from home."
Saul nodded, pleased with her enthusiasm. "Wonderful. There's a nice little art supply store in town that I think you'll love." He said with a grin. She smiled softly. About to get up and get freshened up before he stopped her. “Hm.. maybe a bit later. I just want to show you around the house a little since I couldn’t yesterday.” He said with a gentle smile. He didn’t care about the house.. he just couldn’t go out till night or evening. It would risk his identity. One that she just couldn’t resist. Her soft lips making the shape of a gentle “oh.” “Okay.” She said gently. Sitting back down. He wanted to show her the house.. he wanted her to get used to it. Cause she was gonna be living there.. he was gonna make her.
Saul stood up, extending his hand to help Luna. "Let's start with the living room," he said, leading her towards the cozy space where they had spent the previous evening. Saul making small talk, talking about the furniture and all.. As they were talking, the TV had been on. Lunas eyes drifted to the television, watching as they talked about another brutal murder in the small town of oak falls just last night. Slash still hadn’t been spotted.. “oh my…” she whispered softly. Watching as the news lady spoke.
“Police say they still can’t find the person who’s behind all of this. But some reports and people near by, say he seems to go by the name… “slash.””
Saul's eyes flickered to the TV for a brief moment, his expression unreadable. "It's terrible, isn't it?" he said, his voice tinged with false concern. "This town has been on edge ever since those murders started happening."
Luna nodded, her unease growing. "Yeah, it's really scary," she replied softly. "I hope they catch whoever is responsible soon."
Saul placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, the touch both comforting and oddly unsettling.
"Don't worry, Luna. You're safe here with me," he said, his tone soothing. "Let's continue the tour. I think you'll like the library."
Lunas eyes lit up, she glanced at the TV one last time before following Saul down a hallway that led to a wooden door. He opened it with a flourish, revealing a cozy, dimly lit room lined with bookshelves that reached the ceiling. The scent of old paper and polished wood filled the air, creating an atmosphere of quiet intellectualism.
Luna's eyes widened as she stepped inside, taking in the sheer volume of books. "Wow, this is amazing," she said, her voice filled with awe. "I've never seen so many books in one place outside of a library."
Saul smriked, pleased with her reaction. "I'm glad you like it. Do you see anything you like?" She walked along the shelves, her fingers lightly grazing the spines of various books. "I see a lot that like," she admitted. Saul grinned, watching her closely. Watching the way her small body stood there, god he just wanted to grab her and..
Luna paused, pulling out a worn copy of a classic adventure novel. "This one looks interesting," she said, showing it to him.
"Ah, a great choice," Saul said approvingly. "Feel free to borrow it."
"Thank you, Saul," Luna said with a shy smile. "I really appreciate it."
"You're welcome," he replied, his eyes lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary. "Now, cmon.."
They left the library and walked back down the hallway, entering a spacious, modern dark kitchen. Stainless steel appliances gleamed under the soft lighting, and a large island stood in the center, adorned with a bowl of fresh fruit. Luna saw the kitchen last night. but she hadn’t gotten a good look due to the dim lighting.
Luna looked around, impressed. "This is beautiful," she said. "Do you cook a lot?"
"I do," Saul said, leaning against the island. "Cooking is another one of my passions.”
Luna nodded, feeling a pang of longing. "I used to cook a little with my mom, but it was never anything fancy."
"Well, maybe we can cook together sometime," Saul suggested, his tone inviting. "I'd love to show you some recipes."
"I'd like that," Luna replied, feeling a bit more at ease. "It sounds fun."
"Great," Saul said, his smile widening. "Now, let’s go to the backyard hm? Pretty sure you’ll like it."
He led her to the back door. the small garden he had in the back was a riot of colors, with blooming flowers and lush greenery. It was so neat, and beautiful.
"It's gorgeous," Luna said, her eyes lighting up. "I-i love these flowers so much! They’re so pretty" Luna exclaimed sweetly and excitedly. Looking down at the light pink peony flowers.
"Yes, they are," Saul agreed, watching her closely. Luna wandered down the garden, stopping to admire a bed of vibrant roses. turning to look at him. "You've been so kind to me. I don't know how to repay you." "Your happiness is all the thanks I need," Saul said smoothly. "I'm just glad I can provide you with a safe place to stay." He said, his dark eyes looking at her. Her gaze softened, stay.. Luna did really wanna stay. But I mean.. she barely knew the man. But from what she knew he was so sweet to her.
Luna smiled softly, feeling a mix of gratitude and unease. "I really appreciate it," she said. "It means a lot to me."
Saul walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. " you're not alone anymore. You have me now.. I can be your friend.” He said gently, but a hint to something she couldn’t quite place, persuasion.. and it was working. Luna smiled sweetly. “Okay!” She said softly, Luna always wanted a friend..
As they stood in the garden, the clouds began to part, allowing a few rays of sunlight to filter through.
Luna looked up, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, things would get better. But as she glanced back at Saul, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something she still didn't understand about him.
"Shall we head back inside?" Saul suggested. "We can plan our trip to the art store in a bit."
"Alright," Luna agreed, following him back into the house. As they walked through the door, she took one last look at the garden, hoping that she could find some semblance of peace in this new chapter of her life.
As they re-entered the house, Saul closed the door behind them, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of satisfaction and anticipation. Everything was falling into place, just as he had planned. And Luna, blissfully unaware, was right where he wanted her.

(long chapter.)
oct 3rd
-
Luna had been biking for what it felt like a while- she left around 12. She wasn't sure what time it was now. But as she looked around at her surroundings. She wasn't sure where she was, she wasn't paying attention where she had been going. That was until she saw the dainty dark green leaning sign, "leaving oak falls, visit again soon!" Lunas gaze softened, immediately hitting the break in her bike. She sighed quietly. She was probably an hour and a half away from home. And she didn't know her way back. She began to panic. Her breathing quickening a bit. Luna took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She knew she couldn't go back, but she also couldn't stay lost. She decided to follow the road, hoping it would lead her to a place where she could find help or at least some direction, a couple minutes passed by before it started to drizzle again. Beginning to slowly damp her gown and hair. As she pedaled slowly, the night seemed to grow darker, the trees on either side of the road casting long, foreboding shadows. She felt a chill run down her spine, but she forced herself to keep going. The rhythmic motion of her pedaling became a sort of mantra, a steady beat that kept her moving forward despite the fear gnawing at her.
her mind wandering about everything, the killer, her being lost, no phone. She tried to stop thinking about that stuff, but it was eating her away. As she followed the road, the cool night and moist ground had created a foggy look near the ground. She continued biking down the dark empty street. She looked off into the distance. Seeing a faint look of what it seemed like a house. Her gaze lightened a bit. Beginning to bike a little faster towards the house, as she approached closer. The dark colored but large house Sitting there. Almost as if it was waiting for her. The warm dim lights lowly illuminating through the windows. Rain began to pour down harder, getting her soaked. Her heart raced with a mix of hope and apprehension. As she got closer, she could see that the house was nice and well-maintained. The warm glow coming from the windows contrasted sharply with the eerie darkness all around, giving her a small glimmer of fear. Luna hesitated for a moment, weighing her options. She had no idea who lived there or what kind of reception she might receive, but the thought of spending the night out in the open, with the possibility of the killer lurking nearby, was far more terrifying. Summoning all her courage, she pedaled up the cement driveway and came to a stop in front of the house. She carefully held her bike as she was planted in front of the dark black heavy wood door. Taking a deep breath, she raised her hand to knock. She paused for a moment, her mind racing with thoughts of what she might say and how she might explain her situation, if they were even awake. It might've been around 3 am.
Before she could overthink it any further, she knocked gently on the door. The sound seemed to reverberate through the quiet night, making her feel even more nervous. She waited, listening intently for any signs of movement inside. After what felt like an eternity but was probably only a few seconds, she heard footsteps approaching. The dark heavy wood door slowly creaked open, revealing the figure of a man standing in the doorway. His somewhat firm, dark eyes cast a penetrating look down at the vulnerable girl who stood there, just outside his door. As their gazes met, her soft eyes reflected a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. She clutched the handles of her bike with her small hands, trying to keep it steady as she stood beside it, feeling a bit out of place. The man looked oddly familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before, but she couldn't quite place where. His dark, shoulder-length curly hair framed his face, adding to his mysterious aura. He was dressed in a black long-sleeved button-up shirt that appeared slightly ruffled, with the top two buttons casually left undone. His outfit was completed by a pair of black jeans, giving him a somewhat rugged, yet refined appearance. The girl couldn't shake the feeling that there was something significant about this encounter, something that went beyond the mere coincidence of their meeting.
She cleared her throat softly before she spoke. "hi!" She spoke softly. Not really sure what to say or explain the situation. "Sorry.. for bothering you sir b-but-" she began as he explained the him she ran off. She didn't give complete detail. But what she didn't know is that this.. was the guy that paid for her groceries. The same guy who she thought had kindness in him. A little grin was plastered on the man's mouth. His dark eyes were fixated on the dampness of her hair and her light purple nightgown, how adorable she was. The way her damp nightgown clinged a little to her slim body. How clueless she was that from the day he saw her at the grocery store. He was so fascinated by her. Go by her house each night as she slept. Such a coincidence... she was here. His eyes met here once more as she finished explaining. "Poor thing.. you're soaking wet." He said, a fake act of pity in his voice. One that Luna didn't realize. She looked down at her gown before up at him through the clear lenses of her lavender framed glasses. "yeah.." she said gently. A light smile on her soft lips. He lightly smiled back at her. "here.. come in. You must be freezing." He said as he took in her appearance once more. Holding her bike next to her with the damp teddy bear in the basket. He couldn't help but scoff quietly under his breath at the sight of the plushie. His gaze met hers again, Here she was.. so close to him. Just where he wanted her. Luna hesitated for a moment, going into a mysterious man's house. He could tell by her expression she was hesitant. He chuckled deeply, "it's okay, im not gonna do anything." He said gently, to reassure her. Lure her into his home. She sighed softly. I mean.. there was no where else to go. She smiled softly. "Okay.." she said. "Where do I put my bike?" she questioned softly as she looked up at him. She was so defenseless, vulnerable. "Just lay it against the house." He said, gently but a hint of firmness in it. She nodded, as she layed the bike against the side of the black house under the hooded porch. She put her teddy in her bag as she gently took the bag out the basket so it wouldn't get more wet. the bag in-front of her so innocently.
He stepped aside to let her in, his smile widening ever so slightly as she crossed the threshold. The warmth of the house enveloped Luna, a stark contrast to the chilly, damp night outside. She looked around the dimly lit living room, feeling a mix of relief comfort. The house was beautiful. The interior was surprisingly cozy, with dark wood paneling and plush, dark-colored furnishings that gave the space a sense of warmth. A fire crackled softly in the hearth, casting flickering shadows on the walls and adding to the inviting atmosphere. Despite the comfort the room exuded, there was an underlying sense of something not quite right, a feeling that Luna couldn't shake off. "Come, sit by the fire," he invited, patting the seat of the chair opposite him. Luna walked over , the warmth of the flames drawing her in. She sat down, feeling the heat seep into her bones. "Feel better?" He asked sweetly. Luna smiled softly at his gentle tone. "yeah.." she replied with a gentle smile. He grinned. "I really appreciate this mr-?" she said softly, feeling comfort by him. But also she didn't even know the man..
"Hudson. Saul Hudson." he said with a charming smile. "And whats your name, hm?" "Luna," she replied, her voice barely audible. "Luna," he repeated, as if savoring the sound of her name. "Such a.. sweet name for a sweet girl.” luna couldn't help but blush a bit at the simple words, finding them so comforting for her. No one's ever called her sweet. A soft shy little smile on her lips which he noticed. A small smirk growing on his lips. "Thank you, Mr. Hudson.. for letting me in." she mumbled, feeling a strange mix of comfort wash through her. She glanced around the room, trying to take in her surroundings and distract herself from her swirling thoughts. "Please, call me Saul," he said smoothly, his eyes never leaving hers. "So Luna..." he began. "why'd you run off from home?" Lunas gaze softened, about to share the story with this man she barely knew. But she trusted him. And she didn't even know.. he was the killer in this town. His charm and voice distracting her from asking him any questions.
Luna took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her emotions pressing down on her. "It's... it's complicated," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "My mom, she's not... she's not very kind to me. And tonight, she just did something that made me sad." Saul nodded, his expression one of understanding and sympathy. "I'm sorry to hear that, Luna. You deserve to be treated with kindness and respect," he said, his voice gentle and soothing. "You can stay here as long as you need. You're safe with me." Luna felt a wave of relief wash over her at his words, though a small part of her still felt wary. "Thank you, Mr. Hudson—um, Saul," she corrected herself, offering a tentative smile. "It's just... my mom, she threw my bunny, Sprinkle, outside. I tried to find him, but he ran off into the woods. And then she yelled at me, accused me of things that weren't true. I just couldn't stay there anymore." Saul's eyes softened as he listened to her story. "That's terrible, Luna. No one should have to go through that," he said, his voice filled with gentleness. Comfort, everything Luna wanted. Saul wanted what was best for her. But also what was best for her was him. "I'm glad you found your way here. You did the right thing by leaving." Luna nodded, feeling a mix of emotions—a sense of loss for Sprinkle, anger at her mother, and a strange comfort from Saul's kindness. "I just wish things could be different," she whispered, her eyes glistening with tears. But none fell out. "I want to feel safe and happy, but it always feels like that's just out of reach."
Saul leaned forward slightly, his gaze intense yet reassuring. "You deserve happiness, Luna. And sometimes, finding it means making difficult choices, like the one you made tonight," he said. "But it also means finding people who care about you and want to help you." Luna looked at him, her heart aching with the need to believe his words. "Thank you, Saul. It means a lot to hear that," she said softly. Saul smiled warmly. But behind that smile, was mischief. Glad that she was trusting him. She was right where he wanted her.
"So, Luna," Saul began, his tone gentle. Trying to lighten the mood "Tell me more about yourself." A smirk playing on his lips. "What do you like to do, huh?" he said in almost a tone, Luna couldn't resist. "What makes you happy?" Luna thought for a moment, her mind wandering to the things that brought her joy despite the turmoil in her life. "I love drawing," she said, her eyes lighting up slightly. She always loved talking about her interests. Even though she never could talk about them to anyone, no one was ever there to listen. Saul nodded, interested. He wanted to know how to lure her. Lure the young girl into staying. "That's wonderful." he said. "Do you have any of your drawings with you?"
Luna shook her head, a pang of sadness hitting her. "No, I left my sketchbook at home. My mom... she- never mind." she explained, her voice trailing off. Saul's expression darkened briefly before he regained his calm demeanor. "Well, maybe we can go out one day and get you some, hm?" he suggested, his tone reassuring. "I'd love to see what you can make. Im sure its beautiful" Luna smiled softly, feeling a glimmer of hope. "That would be nice," she admitted. "Thank you, Saul. You've been really kind to me." Saul's smrik widened, pleased with her response. "It's no trouble at all, Luna."
"I'm glad you have something that brings you joy," Saul said, his tone still filled with gentleness, comfort, that he knew luna wanted . "Everyone needs something like that in their life. And you, Luna, deserve all the happiness in the world." He said with a grin on his lips. Luna's heart warmed at his words, feeling a sense of comfort with him that she hadn't felt with anyone. "You're very kind, Saul. I- I don't know how to thank you." She said shyly. What the poor girl didn't know was that Saul was far from kind. Saul leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Just keep being yourself, Luna. That's thanks enough for me." They sat in comfortable silence for a while, the only sound being the fire crackling, casting a warm glow over the room and adding to the sense of coziness. Despite the strange circumstances that had brought her here, Luna felt a growing sense of safety and comfort in Saul's presence. Her soft gaze looking around the dark large living area. But Saul's gaze was fixated on her the whole time.
As they sat in comfortable silence for a moment. Luna's eyelids grew heavy, and she stifled a yawn. Saul noticed and stood up, his expression gentle. But also a hint of curiosity glimmering in his eyes. He gently stood. Walking to sit next to the small girl on his couch. His taller and toned body sitting next to her small fragile one. She was so clueless. So clueless this girl was about to ruin her. "Luna, you look exhausted," Saul said softly, his voice almost a whisper. "Why don't you rest here for a while? You can use the guest room upstairs. It's safe and quiet, and you need sleep." Luna nodded, her eyes heavy with fatigue. "Thank you, Saul," she murmured, feeling a strange mix of gratitude and wariness. She stood up slowly, following him as he led her to the stairs, her small hand clutching her teddy bear tightly. Her bag still laying next to the couch.
As they ascended the staircase, Luna glanced around sleepily, taking in the details of the house. The walls were adorned with tasteful artwork, and the soft lighting created an ambiance of warmth and comfort. Despite the inviting atmosphere, a nagging feeling of unease lingered in the back of her mind. She pushed it aside, focusing on the kindness Saul had shown her. Saul opened a door at the end of the hallway, revealing a cozy guest room. The room was furnished with a comfortable-looking bed, adorned with soft blankets and pillows. A small dresser and a nightstand completed the setup, and a window overlooked the dark, rain-soaked garden below. "Here" Saul said, his voice gentle. "If you need anything, just let me know. The bathroom is just down the hall."
Luna offered a tired smile. "Thank you m-Mr Hudson. I really appreciate this," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Not even realizing the mistake since she was so sleepy. "You're welcome, Luna," he replied, his eyes lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary. "Get some rest. We'll talk in the morning." With that, he closed the door softly, leaving Luna alone in the guest room. She placed her teddy bear on the bed and sat down, feeling the weight of the day's events pressing down on her. She kicked off her damp slippers and slipped under the covers, the warmth of the blankets providing a comforting contrast to the chill she had felt outside.
As she lay there, her mind raced with thoughts of her mother, Sprinkle, and the strange turn her life had taken. She couldn't help but think about Saul, the man who had shown her kindness when she needed it most. Despite her initial wariness, she found herself wanting to trust him, to believe that he genuinely wanted to help her. But a small voice in the back of her mind urged caution, reminding her that she barely knew him. But also, the man at the grocery store. She never saw him anymore. Luna's eyes grew heavier, and she fought to keep them open. The events of the night had taken their toll, and exhaustion was quickly overtaking her. She clutched her teddy bear tightly, finding solace in its familiar presence. As she drifted off to sleep, she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to change in ways she couldn't yet comprehend.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Saul sat by the fire, a contemplative expression on his face. He stared into the flickering flames, his mind racing with thoughts of the young girl now sleeping under his roof. A small, satisfied smile played at the corners of his lips. Everything was falling into place, just as he had planned. The rain continued to patter softly against the windows, a soothing sound that accompanied Luna into her dreams. Despite the warmth and comfort of the guest room, a sense of uncertainty lingered in the air. As she slept, Luna couldn't have known the true nature of the man who had taken her in, nor the dark intentions that lay hidden behind his charming facade. For now, she found respite in the safety of the guest room, her body finally giving in to the exhaustion that had plagued her. The night stretched on, and with it came the promise of a new day, one that would bring new challenges and revelations.
Luna's journey was far from over, and as she slept, the wheels of fate continued to turn, setting the stage for the next chapter of her story. Whether she would find the happiness and safety she so desperately sought or fall deeper into the web of deception that surrounded her remained to be seen. But for now, in the quiet of the night, she found a moment of peace, unaware of the storm that still loomed on the horizon.

Luna ran back inside, her long light brown hair damp and clinging to her face, along with the light purple nightgown she had been wearing, now soaked through. Tears streamed down her cheeks, each drop a testament to the turmoil within her. Anger and sadness welled up inside of her, a storm of emotions that threatened to overwhelm her fragile state. She could barely catch her breath as she stumbled through the doorway, her mother standing in the kitchen as she flipped through the other papers in her sketchbook. Luna's chest heaved with sobs, her voice breaking as she pleaded, "Mom, why did you do that? Sprinkle was all I had!" Her mother barely glanced up, her expression cold and unyielding. "Don't be so dramatic, Luna," her mother scoffed, tossing the sketchbook onto the table. "It's just a rabbit. You'll get over it." Luna's heart shattered further at her mother's words. "Just a rabbit?" she repeated, her voice trembling. "Mom! Sprinkle was the only person who- who I fell comforted by. Not you! Cause your always gone."
Her mother rolled her eyes and took a swig from the bottle she had been holding. "You need to toughen up, Luna. The world isn't a fairy tale. It's harsh and unforgiving, and you need to learn that sooner rather than later." The man standing awkwardly in the corner cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable with the escalating tension. "Maybe you should calm down, Leanna," he suggested gently, but Luna's mother shot him a withering glare. "Stay out of this," she snapped, her tone icy. "This is between me and my daughter."
Luna hugged her teddy bear tighter, tears streaming down her cheeks. The soft, worn fabric of the bear was a small comfort in the face of her mother's harshness. Her mother sighed heavily, as if Luna's pain was an inconvenience. "Happiness is a luxury, Luna. You need to focus on surviving." Luna's shoulders slumped, the weight of her mother's words pressing down on her. She felt a deep sense of hopelessness, wondering if there would ever be a day when she could find true joy without it being ripped away from her.
"Go to bed, Luna," her mother ordered, waving her hand dismissively. "We'll talk about this in the morning." Luna nodded numbly, too exhausted to argue. She turned and walked back down the dark hallway to her room, each step feeling heavier than the last. As she closed her bedroom door behind her, she collapsed onto her bed, clutching her teddy bear tightly. The room was filled with the sounds of her quiet sobs, each one a release of the pain and sorrow that had built up inside her. She buried her face in her pillow, trying to muffle the sound so her mother wouldn't hear.
Hours passed, and eventually, Luna's sobs quieted. She lay there, staring at the ceiling, her mind racing with thoughts of Sprinkle. She thought about running away, about finding a place where she could be happy and free from her mother's anger. But she knew deep down that she had nowhere to go, no one to turn to. She thought for a moment. If she ran away. No one would look for her, but at the same time. She had no where to go. No money. She huffed quietly. Standing up. She was debating whether she should or not. Her eyes fell on the small window above her bed, and she wondered if freedom was just beyond the glass. Clutching her teddy bear, she decided to pack a small bag with a few essentials. She knew it was a risk, but anything seemed better than the hopelessness she felt in that house. She moved quietly, not wanting to alert her mother. She grabbed her white shoulder bag from the closet and began to fill it with a few clothes, socks, underwear, and an extra 2 bras.
As Luna packed, her mind raced with thoughts of what she would do and where she would go. She had no clear plan, only a desperate need to escape. She paused for a moment, looking around her room, taking in the familiar surroundings. The walls were adorned with her drawings, a testament to her creativity and resilience. She felt a pang of sadness, knowing she would be leaving behind the little sanctuary she had created for herself. Taking a deep breath, gently grabbing the bag and slung it over her shoulder. Picking up her teddy, and slipping on her soft white fluffy slippers with small bows on it. She had put a pair of extra shoes in her bag, but would probably use those later. She approached the window and carefully unlocked it, pushing it open just enough to slip through. The cool night air brushed against her face, it was cool. The rain stopped and made it a bit less humid out. She hesitated for a moment, her heart pounding in her chest. This was it. She was really going to leave. But she knew eventually she'd come back. With one last glance around her room, Luna climbed out the window and onto the soft grass below. The moonlight cast long shadows, and the sounds of the night filled the air. She could hear the distant rustle of leaves and the occasional chirp of a cricket, but otherwise, the world seemed still and quiet.
Walking to the side of the house where her bike was, she gently Pat the damp seat down with the edge of her light purple nightgown. Placing her teddy in her basket, along with her bag. She hopped on the bike. Peddling out the dirt driveway and into the street that was dimmed lowly with worn out street lamps. She was quite scared, it was night. She didn't know what was lurking in the shadows. Over the past couple months, on the news they would constantly talk about a killer in the small town. Luna was always so scared to go out at night due to this. But here she was anyways. The night was calm, the only sound being the soft hum of her bike tires on the wet pavement. Luna had no destination in mind, only the promise of freedom and a chance to find some peace away from the chaos at home. She rode on, her heart heavy but determined, hoping that somewhere out there, she could discover a place where she truly belonged.
As she pedaled through the quiet neighborhood, the worn-out street lamps cast long, eerie shadows on the ground. The occasional flicker of a light in a house window reminded her that while the world slept, her journey had just begun. She thought about the man from the grocery store, the one who had shown her a small kindness by paying for her groceries. In that moment, she wished she had someone like him to guide her, to show her that kindness could be a constant in her life. The further she rode, the more the tension in her shoulders began to ease. The rhythmic motion of pedaling and the cool night air against her skin brought a sense of calm she hadn't felt in a long time. She took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the crisp, fresh air, and for the first time in what felt like forever, she allowed herself to hope.
But Luna didn't know that from that night foreword, her life would change.

It was around 11 when Luna woke up to the sound of cluttering and talking. She heard a deep voice mixed with her mother's voice. Sniffling softly, she yawned and rubbed her eyes as she got out of bed, her soft light brown teddy bear clutched gently in her hand. Curious and concerned, she decided to see what all the commotion was about. She walked down the dark hallway, her small footsteps echoing softly until she reached the dimly lit kitchen. There, she saw her mother standing and looking down at something in her hand. "Mom?" Luna mumbled softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Her mother's angry gaze shot up to meet Luna's innocent eyes, causing Luna to furrow her eyebrows in confusion. Her gaze then fell to her own sketchbook on the kitchen table. Her mother had found the page where Luna had drawn a man she had seen at the store. It was just a harmless sketch, so why was her mother so upset?
Without warning, her mother threw the sketchbook at her. The hard black cover struck Luna in the face, making her stumble back in shock and pain. Her beloved teddy bear slipped from her grasp and fell to the floor. "Is that your little boyfriend?" her mother yelled, her voice filled with anger and contempt. Beside her mother stood a random man, probably another one-night stand. Luna's eyes welled up with tears. "W-what?" she stammered softly, her voice trembling with sadness and confusion. She bent down to pick up her teddy bear from the floor, clutching it tightly to her chest as she tried to make sense of the situation. The man's presence and her mother's outburst only added to her distress, making the night even more bewildering and painful for her. ""He looks a little too old for you, doesn't he?" she yelled harshly. What was she implying? "M-mom, what?" she said shakily and gently. "H-he helped me at the grocery store... he paid for the groceries I got." Her mother chuckled breathlessly. "Oh, a sugar daddy now? Is he going to pay for all your stuff?" she said with a wicked sarcastic smile. Luna didn't even know what to say. "N-no, what!" Luna said, confused and scared. "Oh well, since you got yourself a sugar daddy, can he buy new silverware?" Her mother questioned, grabbing a glass plate from the dishwasher and throwing it onto the hard floor, causing it to shatter everywhere.
The man beside her cleared his throat. "Leanna, that's enough," he said quietly, his hand on her arm. But Luna's mom didn't stop. "Is he going to buy you more cups?" she asked, dropping a glass cup on the floor. Luna's eyes swelled with tears as they rolled down her cheeks, feeling scared and sad. "Or buy you another stupid fucking bunny I wasted my money on!" her mother yelled, walking to the front door. Opening it before walking to Sprinkle's cage, she took the bunny out as it squirmed. Luna's eyes widened with fear. "No!" she screamed, running to her mom. But it was too late. Her mother tossed the bunny outside into the dark night. Tears ran down Luna's cheeks as she ran out the front door, trying to chase after the bunny. Her teddy bear fletched in her soft hand. Her sad, red, tear-filled eyes were sobbing softly as she chased it, but it was too fast for her, hopping off into the woods.
Luna stood there, defeated, sobbing softly as she held her teddy bear, feeling so angry and sad. The light rain falling down on her. Sprinkle was gone.
And she wouldn't come back.

October 2nd.

Luna woke up, a soft sigh leaving her soft lips as she slowly opened her eyes to the early morning light filtering through her bedroom window. Nuzzled under the light pink comforter on her twin size bed, she felt the warmth and comfort that the blanket provided. Her cherished teddy bear, was cuddled next to her, adding to her sense of security. She yawned softly, stretching her arms above her head, and then reluctantly got up. As she moved, she noticed the house was quiet, almost eerily so. It was clear that her mom had probably left again, leaving Luna alone to start the day. Her face softened a little, a mix of emotions playing on her features. Even though her mother wasn't always the best person and often left her feeling lonely, Luna couldn't help but love her. After all, she was her mom, the only family she had. The bond between them was complicated, but it was there, a thread of love and connection that Luna held onto dearly. She sat on the edge of her bed for a moment, thinking about her mother and the day ahead.
Determined to make the most of her morning, Luna decided to check on Sprinkle and start her day with a bit of creativity. She got out of bed, her feet padding softly across the cool floor as she made her way to the living room. There, she found Sprinkle already awake, eagerly awaiting her attention. Luna smiled warmly and opened the cage, letting her fluffy companion hop out to explore the room. "Good morning, Sprinkle," she whispered, gently stroking his soft fur. The simple act of caring for her pet brought a sense of purpose and joy to her otherwise lonely mornings. She watched as Sprinkle hopped around the room, his little nose twitching as he curiously sniffed the air. Luna felt a wave of contentment wash over her, grateful for the companionship her bunny provided. After a few minutes of playing with Sprinkle, Luna decided to indulge in a bit of creativity to lift her spirits.
She walked down the small hall, the dainty back door in the small laundry room. The washing machine and dryer were broken, it was plain. She opened and walk out the back door, the warm air hitting her lightly. Her house had been located near the woods. She stepped down the small flight of stairs and began looking for flowers, she always did this every so often. Luna had always loved nature, the bright colors and critters. She hated insects, all but butterflies, moths, and ladybugs. Walking back inside after getting her flowers. She began picking the little flowers off the green stems. Picking up a picture frame that she had bought a while back. Plugging up the hot glue gun that was in the kitchen drawer. Waiting for it to heat. Sprinkle had been eating some hay in her cage, while Luna worked on her little art project. Carefully gluing the flowers along the edge of the frame. She knew the flowers would die eventually but she was bored, so why not?
The sound of a car pulling into the driveway broke Luna's reverie. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized her mother was home. She quickly got up to close sprinkles cage, hoping to avoid any conflict. As she entered the house, she heard the familiar creak of the front door opening and her mother's footsteps echoing through the hallway. "Luna, I'm back," her mother called out, her voice surprisingly calm. Luna felt a flicker of hope, wondering if today might be different. She walked into the living room, clutching Sprinkle close. "Hi, Mom," Luna greeted her cautiously, trying to gauge her mother's mood. Her mother looked tired, but there was a softness in her eyes that Luna hadn't seen in a long time. "I'm sorry for leaving you alone so often," her mother said, her voice heavy with regret. "I'll try to be better. I know it's been hard on you." Luna's heart swelled with a mix of emotions. She wanted to believe her mother, to hold onto the hope that things could change. "It's okay, Mom," she replied softly. "I just want us to be happy." She added sweetly. But her gaze was softer than usual. She knew her mom said this a lot, but never lived up to it. She always gave Luna hope even though it was never genuine.
Watching as her mom walked back off, and into the kitchen. Her mother was always known for her mood changes. She had anger issues, which was weird. Considering how sweet Luna was, you would think Luna would be the same. But she wasn't. Luna sighed, feeling a mix of relief and apprehension. She returned to her art project, hoping to find solace in the creative process. The rhythm of placing each flower petal helped calm her nerves, offering a brief respite from the uncertainty that always seemed to linger in her home. As she carefully glued the delicate petals onto the frame, she allowed her thoughts to wander. She remembered the days before her mom's mood swings became so unpredictable, when life seemed simpler and filled with more laughter. Those memories felt like distant echoes, but they were precious to her. She held onto them as a reminder that things could be better, even if just for a moment.
The sound of the kitchen faucet turning on and the clattering of dishes brought Luna back to the present. She glanced toward the kitchen, wondering if her mom was really trying to make amends this time. It was hard to believe, given the countless times she had been let down before. But a small part of her clung to the hope that maybe, just maybe, things could change. With the frame nearly complete, Luna decided to add a personal touch. She reached for a small photo of herself and Sprinkle, taken during one of their happier moments together. Carefully, she placed the photo in the center of the frame, surrounded by the vibrant flowers. It was a symbol of the joy and companionship she found in her furry friend, a reminder that there were still things in her life worth cherishing.
After finishing her project, Luna set it aside to dry and turned her attention back to Sprinkle, who was now resting comfortably in his cage. "Luna, can you come here for a moment?" her mom called from the kitchen, her tone surprisingly gentle. Luna hesitated for a second, then made her way to the kitchen, her heart pounding in her chest. She found her mom standing at the counter, holding a plate with a simple sandwich on it. "I made you something to eat," her mom said, offering the plate to Luna. Her eyes were softer, and for a moment, there was a hint of the mother Luna remembered from her childhood.
"Thank you," Luna replied quietly, accepting the plate. She sat down at the small kitchen table, taking a bite of the sandwich. It was plain, just bread and cheese, Luna had never but the gesture meant more to her than the meal itself. They sat in silence for a few minutes, the tension between them slowly easing. Luna's mom seemed lost in thought, her gaze distant as she leaned against the counter. Luna wondered what was going through her mind, if she was really trying to change or if this was just another fleeting moment of clarity.
"Mom, do you think things will get better?" Luna asked softly, breaking the silence. Her mom looked at her, a flicker of sadness and determination in her eyes. "I hope so, Luna," she replied, her voice tinged with regret. "I know I've made mistakes, and I want to do better for you. It's just... hard sometimes." Luna nodded, understanding the weight of her mom's words. She wanted to believe in her, to hold onto the hope that their lives could improve. But she also knew that actions spoke louder than words, and only time would tell if her mom could truly change.
After finishing her sandwich, Luna stood up and gave her mom a small, tentative smile. "I'm going to work on my art some more. Thank you for the sandwich."
Her mom nodded, a faint smile touching her lips. "You're welcome, Luna." Returning to the living room, Luna felt a glimmer of hope. She knew that the road ahead would be challenging, but she was determined to hold onto the moments of peace and creativity that brought her joy. With Sprinkle by her side, she continued to work on her art, finding solace in the vibrant colors and the rhythm of her pencil strokes.
Thinking about her mothers words. “I’ll do better.”
But she knew thatd never be true, her mother wouldn't try. Not today, not ever.

The next morning Luna yawned softly as she began to wake up. Rubbing her eyes gently before cuddling with the soft Teddy bear next to her. She stretched her arms and slowly got out of bed, feeling the cool floor beneath her feet. The memories of the previous night lingered in her mind, giving her a small sense of comfort as she prepared to face another day. She shuffled over to the window, gently pulling back the curtain to reveal the world outside. The rain had stopped, but still pretty gloomy out. Luna took a deep breath, letting the fresh scent of rain fill her lungs. She loved the way the world smelled after a storm—clean, renewed, and full of possibility. For a moment, she allowed herself to believe that today could be different, that maybe something good was waiting for her just around the corner. With a renewed sense of determination, Luna headed to the bathroom to freshen up. She splashed cold water on her face, the shock of it waking her up fully. After brushing her teeth and running a brush through her long light brown hair, she'd always loved her hair. It fell just right below her hips. she felt a bit more like herself. and made her way to the kitchen.
The kitchen was still as sparse as ever, she rummaged through the cabinets. But couldn't fin any pancake mix or anything. All the cereal stale. She sighed softly. Another day without groceries. She needed to head to the store, she didn't have much money, maybe only 20 bucks but that was enough for some frozen waffles or something. Luna went into the living room, where Sprinkle was already awake and eager for attention. She set her bear on the table and opened the cage, letting the bunny hop out to explore. "Good morning, Sprinkle," she said softly, stroking his fur as he nuzzled her hand. The simple act of caring for her pet brought her a sense of purpose and joy. As she sat in the living room, Luna thought about the day ahead. It was a Saturday. She decided to make the most of it by spending time with Sprinkle and working on her art.
Around 7:30, Luna heard the familiar creak of the front door opening. Her heart sank as she realized that her mom was home. The brief moments of peace and happiness she had felt that morning were quickly overshadowed by the tense atmosphere that always engulfed the house whenever her mom was around. Luna braced herself for whatever unpredictable mood her mom might be in, hoping with all her might that today would be one of the better days.“Luna," her mom yelled grumpily from the entrance, her voice echoing through the hallway. "Why's the house such a fucking mess?" Her tone was accusatory and sharp, a stark contrast to the fleeting serenity Luna had experienced earlier. Luna could feel the anxiety rising within her, knowing that any small thing could set her mom off when she was hungover or drunk, and turn the day into a nightmare. She took a deep breath, trying to mentally prepare herself for the confrontation that seemed inevitable. Luna winced at her mother's harsh tone but quickly stood up to tidy the living room. "I'm sorry, Mom," she replied quietly, trying to keep her voice steady. She knew it was pointless to argue, so she focused on cleaning up, hoping to avoid any further confrontation. As she picked up scattered papers and straightened the cushions on the couch, she could feel her mother's eyes boring into her back, filled with disapproval. Her mom walked into the kitchen, muttering under her breath about the state of the house. Luna could hear the clattering of dishes and the slamming of cabinet doors, each sound amplifying the tension that already filled the air. Luna moved quickly, trying to make the living room look presentable. She gathered her art supplies and tucked them away neatly, then picked up Sprinkle and gently placed him back in his cage. "I'll play with you later, Sprinkle," she whispered, giving the bunny a soft pat on the head. With the living room now in order, Luna cautiously made her way to the kitchen to see if her mom needed any help. She found her mother standing in front of the open fridge, glaring at the empty shelves. "Where's all the food?" her mom demanded, her voice rising in anger. Luna hesitated, knowing that any answer she gave would likely lead to more frustration. "We ran out," she said softly. "I was planning to go to the store today." Her mom's face twisted with irritation. "You should have gone earlier. What do you expect us to eat now?" she spat. Luna remained silent, not wanting to escalate the situation. She knew her mom's anger wasn't really about the lack of food; it was about everything else—her job, her relationships, her life. And Luna was an easy target.
"I'll go now," Luna offered, hoping to defuse the tension. she scurried to her room to grab her teddy and the 20 dollar bill quickly before her mom saw, and headed for the door, her heart heavy with the weight of her mother's disappointment. As she stepped outside, the cool air hit her face, and she took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. The streets were quiet, the remnants of the morning rain still glistening on the pavement. Luna walked to the side of the house where her bike was, the brown basket in the front where she always put honey, which was her teddy bear. The old light pastel but slightly chipped bike, she hopped on it, peddling out the dirt driveway and to the road in front of her house. Beginning to bike to the nearest grocery store that was about 15 minutes away. Once she got there, She picked up a basket and started browsing the aisles, carefully selecting items that would last them the week. As she placed a box of frozen waffles and a few cans of vegetables into her basket, she thought about how different life could be if her mom was more stable, more loving. She only had so little of stuff, trying to pick out somewhat of a variety but it was hard with only so little money. Once she finished, she walked down the isle. She was in a light purple T-shirt that matched her lavender rimmed glasses, the T-shirt fell to her hips and black shorts fell to her lower thighs. While walking down the isle she saw a man holding a case of beer. He had dark curly hair, wearing all black. Black leather jacket, black shirt, black jeans, black boots, and sunglasses. She couldn't help but be curious and quiet fascinated the way he was dressed. She thought it was cool. Watching as the man turned, her soft brown eyes meeting his dark firm ones. He seemed mysterious. She just smiled sweetly, being friendly. She walked to the cashier lane. Gently putting the basket on the checkout counter. Making small talk with the cashier. She noticed the man she just saw was behind her. "30.17 is your total." The woman cashier had said to her. Lunas gaze softened. Looking back at the cashier. This was embarrassing for her. "oh.." she said softly. Trying to find the right word to say, "i- I uh don't- I don't have enough for that" she said gently. The cashier shrugged. "Well- um- i-is there any way to- to-" she stuttered out. Always stumbling and stuttering when she felt anxious. She couldn't find the right thing to say. She looked back at the people behind her in line. "It's fine- just I'll get them another time." She said gently.
slash.
Slash watched intently as the young girl in front of him struggled with the groceries, clearly not having enough money to pay for them. His dark brown eyes studied her closely, taking in her sweet appearance and gentle nature. He observed her as she eventually gave up, saying she would come back for the groceries another time. Now, his curiosity was piqued; there was something about her sweet words and generous nature that intrigued him deeply.
Clearing his throat, he decided to offer his assistance. "Need help?" he asked, his deep voice resonating as he looked down at the young girl in front of him. She glanced up shyly, her eyes reflecting both gratitude and hesitation. "No-no, it's fine," she said gently, smiling shyly and modestly. Slash was not one to be easily deterred. "No, I insist. I can't have you going home without any groceries," he said with a gentle grin, his demeanor both kind and resolute. Turning to the cashier, he instructed firmly, "Just put her groceries with my beer." "Thank you sir, I really appreciate it" she said sweetly. Softly and generously smiling at him. "Don't mention it," Slash replied, his tone warm but firm. As he paid for the groceries, Luna felt a sense of relief wash over her. She thanked him once more before gathering her bags and heading out of the store, feeling lighter and more hopeful than she had in a long time.
Outside, the cool air greeted her, and she took a moment to collect her thoughts. The encounter with the man had been unexpected, yet comforting. She loaded her groceries into the basket of her bike and began the ride back home, her mind wandering to the mysterious man who had shown her such kindness. The journey back seemed shorter than usual, as if the weight of her worries had lessened. When she arrived home, she was greeted by the sight of Sprinkle eagerly awaiting her return. Luna quickly put away the groceries, making a mental note of how each item would be used throughout the week. The simple act of stocking the kitchen brought her a sense of accomplishment and control over her situation. Her mother, however, was still in a foul mood. As Luna entered the living room, she could hear her mother's voice from the kitchen, still muttering complaints. Luna took a deep breath, deciding to stay out of her mother's way for the rest of the day. She picked up Sprinkle and headed to her room, craving the solace it offered.
In her room, Luna set Sprinkle down on her bed and pulled out her sketchbook. Drawing had always been her escape, a way to channel her emotions and find a sense of peace. She found herself sketching the mysterious man from the store, his dark attire and kind eyes etched into her memory. As her pencil moved across the paper, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. Hours passed, and the tension in the house remained, but Luna managed to stay absorbed in her artwork. The sun began to set, casting a warm glow through her window. She looked at her finished drawing, feeling a sense of satisfaction. It wasn't just a portrait; it was a reminder that kindness could come from unexpected places, and that there were good people in the world, even if they were few and far between. As the evening wore on, Luna prepared a simple dinner with the groceries she had bought. She set a plate for her mother, hoping it might ease some of the tension. Her mother ate in silence, the atmosphere still heavy but slightly less oppressive. Luna picked at her food, her thoughts drifting back to the day's events and the man who had made a difference.
After dinner, Luna retreated to her room once more, feeling a mix of exhaustion and quiet hope. She lay in bed, Sprinkle nestled beside her, and allowed herself to dream of better days. The kindness she had experienced that day gave her a glimmer of hope that perhaps, just perhaps, things could change. As sleep overtook her, Luna held onto that hope, believing that tomorrow might bring new opportunities and unexpected kindness, just like today had. And with that thought, she drifted into a peaceful slumber, ready to face whatever challenges the new day might bring.

A knock away.
𝖼𝗁𝖺𝗉𝗍𝖾𝗋 𝗈𝗇𝖾
———————————————————————
September 30th 2010
-
Luna had been sitting in the small but comfy space of her room for what felt like hours. The room was filled with a sense of familiarity and comfort, especially with her soft light brown teddy by her side. Laying in bed, she let her eyes wander to the window, watching the gentle rain tapping against the glass. The soft, rhythmic sound was almost soothing, even though it was gloomy out. This kind of weather was not surprising since it was quite normal around there. She was home alone again, a situation that had become all too familiar. Her mom had gone out, claiming she was "getting groceries," but Luna wasn't stupid. She knew what her mom was really doing—out with another guy. It was a pattern she had come to recognize. Not surprising, but still disappointing. The realization left her feeling even more alone in her room, confined not just by the walls but also by her thoughts.
The room seemed to echo with silence, amplifying her sense of isolation. The soft rain outside was the only companion she had, a constant backdrop to her inner monologue. She sighed, hugging her teddy bear closer, wishing for the comfort and security that seemed to elude her. The world outside might be gloomy, but the storm inside her mind felt even more intense, swirling with feelings of abandonment and loneliness.
As the minutes ticked by, Luna found herself lost in thought, wondering how different her life could be if things were more stable at home. She often fantasized about escaping to a place where she felt truly safe and loved, away from the uncertainty that clouded her daily life. In her mind, she pictured a cozy little cottage nestled in the countryside, surrounded by fields of wildflowers and the gentle hum of nature. There, she imagined herself waking up to the warm embrace of sunlight streaming through the windows, greeted each morning by the cheerful chirping of birds. And maybe somebody by her side.
In this dream world, Luna was never alone. She had friends who truly cared for her, a community that supported and uplifted one another. Her days were filled with laughter, adventure, and the kind of joy that seemed so elusive in her current reality. She would spend her afternoons exploring the nearby woods, collecting interesting rocks and leaves, and creating little art projects with her findings. she already did that here. But maybe it'd be more appealing in her fantasy world. As her thoughts drifted, Luna's gaze returned to the window. The rain had picked up, the droplets now racing down the glass in a hurried dance. She sighed once more, feeling the weight of her solitude settle more heavily upon her shoulders. The dream of the cottage was a comforting escape, but she knew it was just that—a dream. The reality was that she was still here, in this room, waiting for her mom to return from yet another night out.
Determined not to let the gloom consume her entirely, Luna decided to distract herself. She got up from her bed, clutching her teddy bear in her gentle small hand. As she walked down the narrow hall that led to the kitchen, she could hear the faint hum of the refrigerator and the soft ticking of the clock on the wall. She continued her journey into the living room, where she was greeted by the gentle rustling from the cage in the corner. Inside the black-barred cage was a soft, fluffy white rabbit. Luna smiled softly, feeling a wave of warmth wash over her.
Luna had always loved animals and tried her best to take care of them, but it was quite hard since she barely had any money to get the right things for them. Her bunny, nestled in a cozy blanket at the bottom of her cage, looked up at her with curious eyes. "Hi, Sprinkle," she said softly, her voice filled with affection. Kneeling down, she placed her teddy bear next to her and carefully opened the cage door to let the bunny come out. She always took Sprinkle out when her mom wasn't home because if her mom was around, she'd get mad. Luna wished she could keep the bunny in her room, but there was barely any space left in her small, cluttered room. As Sprinkle hopped out of the cage and onto the living room floor, Luna felt a sense of joy and companionship. She watched him explore the room, his little nose twitching as he sniffed around. Luna knew that these moments with Sprinkle were precious, offering her a brief escape from her worries. The bond she shared with her bunny was special, and she cherished every second of their time together. With Sprinkle by her side, Luna decided to make the most of the evening. She gathered a few art supplies from the cupboard and sat down at the small table in the living room, ready to create something beautiful. The rhythmic sound of the rain outside blended with the soft rustling of Sprinkle's movements, creating a serene atmosphere that allowed Luna to momentarily forget her troubles.
She began by sketching a simple outline on a piece of paper, her pencil gliding smoothly across the surface. As she worked, she could feel her mind unwinding, each stroke of the pencil helping to ease the tension that had built up throughout the day. Sprinkle hopped around the room, occasionally nudging her foot with his nose as if to remind her that he was there, sharing this peaceful moment with her. Minutes turned into hours as Luna lost herself in her artwork. She added layers of detail and color, bringing her imagination to life on the page. Her drawing depicted a scene from her fantasy world: a cozy little cottage surrounded by fields of wildflowers, with a bright blue sky overhead and birds soaring freely. In this world, everything was perfect, just as she had always dreamed. As she worked, Luna found herself humming a soft tune, a melody that seemed to flow naturally from her heart. The music mingled with the sound of the rain and the occasional thump of Sprinkle's hops, creating a symphony of calm and contentment. She felt a sense of accomplishment as her drawing took shape, a tangible representation of the dreams that kept her going.
Eventually, Luna leaned back in her chair, admiring her finished piece. A sweet smile spread across her face as she took in the vibrant colors and intricate details. She felt a sense of pride and satisfaction, knowing that she had created something beautiful from her own imagination. It was a small victory, but one that brought her immense joy. With her artwork complete, Luna carefully set it aside to dry. She then turned her attention back to Sprinkle, who had settled down on the floor, contentedly nibbling on a piece of hay. Luna reached out and gently stroked his soft fur, feeling a deep sense of connection to the little bunny. In that moment, she knew that no matter how tough things got, she would always have these precious moments of peace and creativity to hold onto. As the evening turned into night, Luna decided to prepare a small meal for herself. She headed to the kitchen, rummaging through the sparse contents of the fridge and pantry. She managed to put together a small simple dinner of pasta and vegetables for sprinkle, which she brought back to the living room to eat.
Sitting on the couch with Sprinkle beside her, Luna savored each bite of her meal. The warmth of the food filled her with a sense of comfort, trying not to think about how she just used the last of the ingredients in the home. But a small but meaningful respite from the challenges she faced. After finishing her dinner, she cleaned up and returned to the living room, where she spent the rest of the evening reading a book and enjoying the company of her beloved bunny. As the night drew to a close, Luna felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that the challenges of her life would still be there when she woke up the next morning, but for now, she allowed herself to simply be in the moment. She put Sprinkle back in his cage, making sure he was snug and comfortable, and then retired to her room, clutching her teddy bear close.
After brushing her teeth, Luna climbed into bed, pulling the covers up to her chin and letting out a contented sigh. The rain had slowed to a gentle drizzle, and the soft patter of droplets against the window was like a lullaby, lulling her into a peaceful slumber. As she drifted off to sleep, she held onto the hope that one day, her dreams of a better life would come true.

A knock away.
Serial killer slash x f! Reader (description ☟︎)
the kind of aesthetic of the story and way it looks when she ran off. The house there is suppose to somewhat be similar to the way slash's house looks.
location- oak falls, small town in Washington.

𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐡𝐮𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧. Aka, 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡
age- 32. (Age is not timely accurate. Just made him young in this time for the story)
height- 6ft
Birthday - July 23rd.
In this story, Saul Hudson is an ordinary man, living just out of a small town in Washington. Until night, when he goes out. Finds his victims. He's known as slash. He's pretty well known around town, but Saul is not. Constantly on the run, sometimes he doesn't even have to. He disguises himself pretty well, so no one's seen his real face since he only lurks at night. In this story, Guns N' Roses doesn't have a purpose in this really. He lives alone. And has no kids.

age- 17
Height- 5'0
Birthday- October 10th.
luna every is a 17 year old girl. She lives in a small, kind of crappy neighborhood with her mother. She's always home alone due to her mother being out, either partying or sleeping with random men. Her mom had a habit of coming home drunk, Her mom also quite young due to having Luna at a young age. She's 35. Luna had a small job but lost it due to her not being able to go in everyday. All the money she had stored in her room, her mom finds and takes. Leaving Luna at home with hardly anything, just a little food and no money. Luna was a pretty sweet and innocent girl. At her age was quite rare. Never had a boyfriend, rarely many friends. And no father figure growing up, just random one night stands her mother brought home. In her room most nights, cuddling with her teddy bear waiting for it to all be a dream. her mom pulling her out of school during her last year, bumming her out since she lost contact with all her friends. Left with only a bike she rides around on, and that same bike the reason she stumbled upon him.

Lunas home.

This story contains drug use, alcohol, strong language, violence, sexual content, age gap, some gore, bad parenting, running away, and more.
This story will contain different point of views, most Luna, but some slash. But majority of them will be in 3rd person.

THIS STORY IS PUBLISHED ON MY WATTPAD “slxxsher”

I am not trying to make fun of a poor living life. Nothing funny about these kind of conditions and I'm not trying to make an aesthetic out of it either. I apologize to anyone who gets offended by this, but everybody's money does not grow on trees. I know because I didn't have much either. So don't think I'm trying to make this a trend thing. It's simply a story and symbolizes the way she grew up. Thank you.
All actions and things that take place in this book are fictional. Saul is not a killer in real life, I simple only made him like this for the purpose of the story due to him being a huge horror fan. If you don't like it, then click away. My character Luna everly is 17, her birthday planning to be in a couple days. So she will not be a minor while with slash.

i can’t lose you
slash x f! reader ☾☾☾☾☾
tw- yelling, cussing, cheating
summary- you were at home, excited for slash to come home from his tour before finding out he cheated, now waiting for him to come home to confront him.
_____________ _____________ _____________
She sat quietly in the living room, anxiously waiting for Slash to come home. Her leg bounced up and down as she stared blankly at the floor, lost in her thoughts. Tears pricked at her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away. Slash had just returned from his tour, and she had been excited to see him. However, her excitement was dampened when she stumbled upon a magazine at the grocery store the other day. In it, she saw a picture of Slash kissing another girl. The image had been etched into her mind, and she couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal. She tried to convince herself that he must have been drunk or that it was just a mistake, but deep down, she knew he had cheated on her. What did she expect? She had stayed home while he went on tour, and she couldn't help but wonder if he had been with other girls during his time away. She sat there, growing more impatient by the minute, fiddling with her fingers. Her attention snapped to the sound of the door unlocking, and she watched as Slash walked in with a smile on his face. Their eyes met, and she couldn't help but feel a mix of sadness and betrayal, yet there was still a glimmer of love in her eyes. She had always been in love with him, despite everything. The glossy look in her eyes caught Slash's attention, and he immediately noticed that something was wrong. "Hey, sweetie, what's the matter?" he asked, walking over to her with concern etched on his face. He looked down at her, his expression soft and clueless, completely unaware of what had transpired in her mind.
"Don't call me that," she objected, barely audible. She averted his gaze, breaking their eye contact as she glanced at the floor. She felt his gentle touch under her chin, delicately guiding her face upward. "What happened?" he asked softly. His beautiful dark brown eyes met hers before he leaned in and planted a tender kiss on her lips. In that moment, she couldn't resist melting into his embrace. The hell was she doing?, he had kissed another girl. She reminded herself, she pulled away, looking at the floor before back up at him "I know what you did," she stated, her voice devoid of emotion and tinged with sadness and anger. His eyebrows furrowed, and he asked, his voice cracking slightly as he cleared his throat, "What did I do?" Annoyed, she stormed into the kitchen, grabbed the magazine, and threw it into his hands. Confused, he furrowed his brows as he glanced down at the magazine. The cover depicted a photo of him, Slash, kissing another girl. Beside the picture, there was bold text that read, Slash caught with actress Renee Suran leaving his hotel after a Guns N' Roses concert.
His eyes scanned over the paper, a mix of emotions reflected in their depths. As they softened, regret and sorrow washed over him, a silent admission of his wrongdoing. He never anticipated that she would discover his betrayal. "I- I was drunk," he stammered, his voice trembling with the weight of his lie. Her eyes met his, a poignant sadness and a hint of skepticism shining in their depths. She knew he was lying, evident in the rapid, nervous movements of his eyes and the way he anxiously tugged at his curls. "Stop lying, Slash," she said, her voice laced with annoyance and yet tinged with a profound sadness. "I-I'm not lying!" he exclaimed, his eyebrows furrowing as he tried to defend himself. He looked up at her, his gaze filled with frustration and confusion. "I was drunk. And you're acting as if I would actually cheat on you?" His voice grew louder, a tinge of irritation seeping through.
"Why are you getting mad? I should be the one who's mad, Slash. You fucking cheated on me," she said, her voice a blend of anger and heartbreak. Her glossy eyes stared up at him, overflowing with a mixture of sadness and fury. "Because you're accusing me of cheating! I was drunk, for God's sake! What more do you want to hear?" he retorted, his anger escalating. She scoffed softly, her voice laced with bitterness. "I don't know, maybe an apology for betraying your fucking girlfriend of over a year?" she yelled, tears streaming down her face. The pain in her eyes was palpable, a testament to the depth of her hurt. "I'm sorry! I'm fucking sorry, okay? I'm sorry I was drunk and lost control of my actions!" he shouted back, his voice filled with volume and annoyance, but void of any genuine remorse.
Tears cascaded down her cheeks like a torrential rain, as she let out a soft, feeble huff. She hastily wiped her face, attempting to remove any trace of her sorrow. "You act as if you don’t regret," she said, her voice tinged with a clear annoyance that cut through the heavy silence. Her eyes, usually soft and full of life, now bore a glossy sheen of sadness, as they glared up into his with a mixture of anger and despair.
He groaned in frustration, rubbing his face as if trying to erase the reality of their situation. "Jesus Christ," he murmured under his breath, the words barely more than a whisper. "What else do you want to hear from me?" he yelled, his voice echoing angrily in the confined space. He stepped closer, his tall, imposing figure towering over her smaller one. His proximity did nothing but amplify the tension between them.
Her eyes, filled with hurt and confusion, met his defiant stare. "Perhaps a sincere apology? For cheating on your fucking girlfriend," she responded, the words heavy with both anger and a palpable sadness. He scoffed quietly, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation. Deep down, he knew she had a point, and she was right. However, his pride prevented him from admitting it. He couldn't understand why he cheated. He just missed the sensation of her touch while he was gone, and thought maybe someone could help. "I'm sorry, okay?" he muttered, the sincerity in his voice buried beneath layers of frustration. It made his apology seem insincere, even though he truly meant it. Her gaze softened, and she let out a quiet sigh, burying her face in her hands as if hoping to hide from the world.
He glanced down at her, his harsh gaze softening ever so slightly. She looked back up at him, her eyes still filled with hurt and anger. "You know, I should've known better than to get involved with you," she confessed, her voice filled with pain and frustration. She was annoyed at him, but more so at herself for thinking that they could have had a future together. His gaze softened even more, as the reality of what he had done came crashing down on him, washing over him like a wave and leaving him drenched in regret.
“You don’t mean that.” He whispered, his voice barely audible, as if he was trying to convince himself more than her that she didn’t mean the words she’d just spoken. His eyes were soft now. They were boring into hers, as if trying to see into her very soul, as tears streamed unbidden down her cheeks. His hand, rough from years of hard work, reached out to gently touch her cheek. There was a time when she would have given anything to feel his touch, to melt under his gentle caress. He always had that effect on her. But things were different now. With a sense of finality, she shrugged his hand off gently. “I do.” She said. Her voice was quiet, barely above a whisper as she looked up at him, her eyes full of sorrow and regret. She shook her head gently, a silent plea for understanding, as she looked down, refusing to meet his gaze. She turned, walking away from him as she grabbed her jacket. With trembling hands, she pulled it on over her shoulders, a feeble attempt to shield herself from the cold reality of what was happening. Wiping her eyes as she sniffled softly, she could feel his eyes on her, watching her every move. His gaze was soft and gentle now, filled with the knowledge that he had messed up. As she grabbed her keys, she could hear his footsteps behind her. She opened the door to leave, but he stopped her. His hand closed around her wrist, turning her around to face him. His hand was gentle on her chin, forcing her to look at him.
“Please.” he whispered, his voice barely a whisper, sad and quiet. “I can’t lose you.” he said, his voice echoing the sadness in his eyes. Leaning in, he placed a soft kiss on her cheek, a desperate attempt to hold on to something that was already lost. She shook her head, looking up at him one last time. “You already did.” she said, her voice filled with a sorrow that mirrored his own. With that, she turned and walked out the door, leaving him behind.

She layed quietly with Izzy on the bed, her head resting on his chest as they watched TV in his room. She was spending the night again at Izzy's again. His larger hand gently caressing her soft thigh while they enjoyed the film in silence. They were watching a funny movie, and someone had said something that made her softly giggle. Izzy's hand remained on her thigh, softly rubbing it, while his other hand played with her hair. The sound of her laughter brought a smile to his face. "Do you think that's funny?" he whispered, looking down at her with a small grin. She nodded gently, looking up at him with a sweet, gentle smile. He smirked, feeling a strong desire to kiss her, and maybe even more. They had been together for a while, but their physical intimacy had never gone beyond making out. He gently cupped her cheek and pressed his lips onto her soft ones. Her cheeks flushed a little, as she had kissed him before, yet every time felt like a first with him.
Their lips met in a gentle embrace, a soft and loving connection. His lips moved against hers, tender at first, but the gentleness soon gave way to a rougher, more passionate kiss. Her soft pink lips deepened in color, becoming a more pronounced red as the gentle kisses continued to linger. She found herself blushing at the delightful sensation. Her arms found their way around his neck in a gentle hold, his strong arms reciprocated by pulling her onto his lap. As he reclined on the bed, she straddled his waist, her soft legs on either side of his waist. Their lips continued to move against each other's. His hands, traveled down her waist to the small of her back, rubbing it with a softness that was both comforting and exciting.
Her long hair, was tucked gently behind her ears. Her hands, rested gently on his chest, her cheeks flushing a delicate pink from the escalating passion. His rough hands, in contrast to hers, traveled further down to her soft thighs, rubbing them gently. Her black shorts, rode up her thighs just a bit. Her cheeks, already a soft pink, deepened in hue as he tugged gently at the waistband of her shorts. Pausing their passionate encounter for a moment, he pulled away gently and looked softly up at her, his eyes filled with both tenderness and desire. he lifted her light body off his before flipping them over so he was now on top. his rough hands traveled down to her thighs as he rubbed her thighs softly, his thumbs brushing her inner thighs as he looked softly down at her. her sweet and shy eyes looking back up into his. his hands traveled to the waist band of her shorts before leaning down and pressing his lips onto her neck softly, leaving passionate and gentle but rough kisses on her neck. gently pulling down her shorts as he did so. soft whimpers or soft quiet little moans left her mouth as he kissed her neck.
Tender whimpers escaped her lips as he tenderly kissed the sensitive areas along her neck, each touch sending a shiver down her spine. He carefully and sensually removed her panties, the sudden rush of cool air against her bare skin causing her to gasp ever so slightly. Yet, any sound she made was swiftly silenced as he resumed kissing her neck, his lips softly exploring her skin. Her eyelids fluttered closed, her breathing becoming increasingly uneven and slow, mirroring the rhythm of her pounding heart. His hands, rough from years of diligent work yet gentle in their touch, began to explore her body. They started from her stomach, tracing the curve of her waist, caressing her waist and tummy softly. before pulling off her shirt, his eyes wandering around her body. a small smirk on his face, before his fingers gradually making their way up to the clasp of her bra. His fingers toyed with the straps, gently tugging at them, before he pulled away from her. He looked at her, his eyes filled with a burning desire, and asked in a soft whisper, “can i sweetie?” His words were barely audible, yet they rang clear in the silence of the room. She responded with a gentle nod, her flushed face just a breath away from his. He returned her nod, he unclipped her bra and gently removed it. His eyes roamed over her body, a smirk curving his lips as he took in the sight before him. “You are a work of art,” he whispered, his words holding a sincerity that made her heart flutter. With a sweet smile, he closed the distance between them, pressing his lips against hers in a passionate kiss before going back to kissing her neck softly, before traveling down and kissing her collar bone ever so gently.
he began to unbutton his jeans, his lips still on her neck as he softly kissed her collar bone, tugging his jeans down. before taking off his shirt as-well, pulling away from the kiss as he looked down at her softly.
tugging his boxers down, revealing his hard length. the tip red and dripping with precum. the sight of her infront of him like this making it harder for him to relax. “god i want you so badly.” he whispered. his voice deep with desire and lust. gently reaching over on the nightstand and opening a small drawer, grabbing a condom as rolled it on. gently placing his hands on her soft thighs and spreading her legs gently, looking at her softly. “are you sure?” he whispered gently but reassuringly. she nodded slightly, “yes.”
that was all he needed before he gently positioned himself with her entrance. making her gasp quietly and softly from the sensation and feeling, it was all new to her. he began to slowly push himself into her. a soft whimper escaping her mouth as he stretched her out. “ow.” she whimpered quietly and softly. he softly brushed a strand of hair away from her face and tucked it behind her ear. “it’s okay baby i’ll go slow.” he whispered sweetly. slowly pushing himself all the way in. making her shudder lightly. a soft sigh escaping her mouth. her arms made their way around his neck as they wrapped around it. her sweet eyes looking up into his. he began to slowly move in and out of her, thrusting slowly and going to pace she wanted. she whimpered quietly and softly. her hands softly gripping his shoulders. he grunted quietly. his hands gently grabbing her hips as he slowly thruster into her. “this okay?” he whispered gently. she nodded . “y-yeaa.” he nodded slightly, “c-can you go faster?” she whispered. he smirked slightly and nodded. gently beginning to thrust a bit quicker into her. a soft little moan escaping her mouth as her eyes fluttered shut. a soft groan had escaped his lips. gripping her hips gently as he thrusted into her. the room filled with the sounds of their heavy breathing and moans, and the gentle sound of the skin slapping against one another’s. her hands gripping his shoulders gently as she whimpered and moaned softly against him. his mouth next to her ear as he whispered sweet nothings and reassuring words into her ear.
once she had grown comfortable she decided to let him take the lead, letting him go and do as he pleased. and he took complete advantage of that, thrusting into her gently but quickly. making her moan and whimper his name. he loved hearing that, the deep groans and moans escaping his lips filling the room aswell as hers. his hips hitting hers so often. his hands on her hips and hers scratching his back gently. he felt his cock twitch slightly. “fuck.” he groaned as he thrusted in and out of her, she felt the knot growing in her lower tummy. “izzy.” she moaned softly. her eyes fluttering, “i-i’m g-gonna” she whimpered out softly. “i know baby, i know. it’s okay just let go.” he whispered sweetly and gently. a soft moan left her lips before she had came. panting softly and quietly. he gently pulled out of her. panting quietly. rolling off of her gently as he layed beside her. looking over at her as she layed there, breathless and relaxed. her soft thighs pressed together and her hair a bit fluffed up. he smiled gently as he got up, grabbing his and her clothes. helping her up and off the bed, “cmon let’s go get cleaned up.” he whispered gently as he led them to the bathroom and turned on the shower.
