1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week I took more photos around where I live and took photos in the studio for habitat task five and then edited the photographs I had. I also finished off the bits of work that I did not manage to complete last week.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I am happy with how the photographs I took have turned out as they all look good.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem The problem that I encountered this week was the fact that one of the sets of photographs I have taken so far are nothing to do with what I want to do. So to overcome this problem I will have to get round to taking the photos I want to take and quickly.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I will make sure that I am ready to take the photographs that I want to take.

1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week I have written the proposal, took the photographs around Mapperly Wood, did my mind map, printed off everything that I have done and stuck them my sketchbook. I also did habitat task 1, took some more photographs and edited all of the photographs that I have taken so far.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I was happy with how all of the photographs that I have taken so far.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem The problem that I have is the fact that so far none of the photographs I have taken so far fits in with my idea. To overcome this problem I plan on hopefully using these photographs later on in my project so they don’t go to waste and when I have the chance I will go and take the photos that I want to go and take.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I plan on finishing up everything that I have left to do.

8th February 2020 Project Three
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week I learned that I couldn’t do either my plan a or plan b as Linda never got back to me and when I went to go speak to the people who were my plan b they said that they were dialling back their promotions as she was selling the business. So I came up with a plan c, but I couldn’t do that, so I came up with a plan d. I also made a mood board for my plan b and wrote up what my plan b said and what I was going to do from there. Once I came up with a plan d and I was back at college I went and asked my MOD if it was possible and he told me to go and speak to the sports shop, which I did. When I had gotten my answers that I could do my shoots in the sports shop I went back to college and wrote up what my MOD and the sports shop said and got myself ready for my shoot for the next day. I then got everything that I needed for the shoot and made my way over to the sports shop and then spoke to the manager of the sports shop just to double check and then set up and took my photos. When was all done I then packed up and then left to go print off my contact sheets and do some research.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I did get some successes as I was able to finally get a place that would allow me to take photographs and allow me to actually hand something in other than something that was riddled with me trying to get some photos. I am also happy that I with how the images that I took turned out.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem I had problems with the fact that Linda never got back to me and I knew if I was going down this route I may not get my photos that I wanted, so to overcome this problem I went to go speak to my plan b. However, she said that I couldn’t due to the fact that she was selling the business and that she didn’t know when the sale was going down but I could always come back in a couple of weeks to come see if I could and since I don’t have a couple of weeks I said thank you and quickly came up with a plan c. My plan c was to go to another coffee shop near where I lived to see if they would allow me, though when I checked their website they said they were closed on the day that I was going to go speak to them. So, to overcome the problem that I was currently I made the decision to go and speak to my MOD.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework I need to write up all of my research that I have done and I also need to edit my photos.

1st February 2020 Project Three
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried?
This week I  did not really learn anything, but I emailed Linda for an update and I ended  up with a meeting with her. I also started looking for a backup plan just in  case my meeting with Linda didn’t go how I wanted it to go. I also wrote a  proposal for my Linda plan and my plan b as well as planning the shoots that  I wanted to do for both options just in case one did not work. Alongside  that, I also did a mood board to demonstrate to Linda what I wanted to do.
 2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why?
I had lots  of successes as I was able to get my sketchbook with all of the stuff that I  wanted to present to Linda and I was able to come up with a plan b just in  case Linda decided against allowing me to do what I wanted. I would also  consider getting a meeting a success with Linda a success as it allowed her  to see what I had planned and that I was serious.
 3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem
I had a  couple of problems as I am not a 100% sure if Linda actually sent the email  she sent or if she will get back to me, but I’ll have to wait and see if she  or anyone she emailed will get back to me.
 4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework
I will make  sure that I have everything written up, including what went down in the  meeting.

25th January 2020 Project Three
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week we did the macro photography task using the flash ring, we also we did a task where we were taught how to communicate with clients over email and how to present ourselves when speaking face to face with the client. Alongside that, I also emailed out to the people who I would like to be my client as well and I plan on having a meeting with this person at some point within the next week.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I had some successes as I was happy with the fact that I managed to actually get a sort of yes from the people that I emailed as I was thinking that they were going to email me back and say no, but the fact that I have a meeting with the women that can get me into contact with the people that I would like to photograph means that I am heading in the right direction.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem I had a problem with the flash ring again because it didn’t seem to be working that great as when I took the photograph the ring wouldn’t go off; which is what happened last week, so to overcome that problem, I just worked with the photographs that actually turned out good and had lighting.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I am going to try and make sure that all of my sketchbook work is up to date, so when I meet this women I’m supposed to meet at some point I can present to her my up to date sketchbook.

18th January 2020 Project Three
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried?
This week  we took photographs of glass photography and edited those photographs that we  took and we also wrote about commercial studio photography and we also took  photographs of wonky fruit and edited those photographs.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why?
I had some  successes as I was happy with how my glass photography turned out because I  think that they looked good. Alongside that, I also liked how some of my  wonky fruit came out.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem
I had one  problem where I fell out with the flash ring, which was one of lights that we  used for the wonky fruit task because it wasn’t really working for me, so to  overcome this problem, I just stopped using it. Alongside that, I had a  couple more problems where I didn’t like some of the photographs that I had  taken of the wonky fruit, so to overcome this problem I just ignored those  photos and just went through the photos that I did like.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework
For next  week I will try and get all of this stuff written up and I will start thinking  more on who I would like my client to be.

11th January 2020 Project Three
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week we started a new project called studio/client based project where we have to go out and find a client and take photographs of a certain products. But before we got to all of that we did a studio based task where we just went through the project and through a couple ideas of what we could do. Alongside that, we also did a studio set up task where we went through the rules of the studio and we also did a task where we went into the studio and took photos of each other with different studio lighting techniques; such as a snoot, soft box and a reflector dish. After we did that we also did a task where we used a large format camera and then we also developed the photographs that we took.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I have some successes, such as my photographs that I took with the large format camera as I was happy with how the photographs turned out when I developed and edited them. I was also happy with some of the photos that I took with the studio lighting session.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem A problem that I encountered was the fact that in one of my large format photos had already been exposed to another photograph, but I did not realise that until I had come to develop the photograph that I had thought just had my photograph on. I overcame this problem by saying that the double exposure looked cool.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I plan to try and get all of the work that I have done this week written up so that it is there in my sketchbook

14th December 2019 Project Two
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week I took the last set of photos that I needed to take as I changed my idea because the original idea that I had didn’t look alright, so I changed just to one of the places that I had already been to but more underground as I couldn’t find any more caves above ground to photograph, so I had to go underground to get more photos of what I now wanted to do. After, I had taken my photos I came back and edited them as some of the photos were a little dark and needed brightening back up. Alongside that, I also wanted to keep the history part within the photos, but I knew that writing the bit of history under the photo wouldn’t look right, so I then wrote what I wanted on the photo. So, then I printed them off and put them into some sort of order and annotated them. Once, they had been annotated I them I then went over to the print shop to get them printed. Eventually, when I came back I then wrote up my evaluation and then checked that I have everything that I needed to have in my sketchbook before I handed it in.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I had some success as I was happy with the final outcome of my final photos as it is sort of what I wanted to have my final piece look like after I changed my idea last minute. Alongside that, I am also happy that I managed to get everything handed in on time as there was a time where I thought that I wasn’t going to get everything finished and handed in on time.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem The problem that I encountered was that you couldn’t see the writing, so to overcome this problem I moved the writing and changed the colour to where you could see it and read it. Alongside that, another problem that I had was that when I looked at my final piece I saw that it had cut off some parts of the words nearest to the left side edge, as I didn’t think that was going to happen when I printed them off because when I printed them off at college to annotate my photos that hadn’t happened, but it wasn’t a major problem as you could still see the word of what I had written.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I shall buy a sketchbook.

7th December 2019 Project Two
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week we watched a video on all of these different photographers who talked about their own work or someone else’s work, so then I had that to write up amongst the other things that I had left to write up, I then went out and took my photos that I wanted to take and then I came back and then printed them off to see if they needed editing and to see if they looked good together as a series and to see if the bit of writing looked good underneath the photographs before I did anything major to them. Alongside that, I also wrote up my proposal to so it was clear on what I wanted to originally do.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I did have some success as I was sort of happy how some of my photos had turned out because it meant that I didn’t have to do much editing to them before I decided whether or not I needed to change my idea last minute or not.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem The problem that I had was that the photos that I had chosen didn’t really go together and the writing underneath didn’t look right, so I spoke to one of my teachers and she said to do a similar thing but just choose one of the places out of the places that you already have. So, that is what I did to overcome that problem. Alongside that, I also had another problem with the photos that I already had as I could not find one of the locations of where one of my photographs were, so to overcome that problem I decided to cut that location out of what was going to be my final piece. With that, I also had problems with one of my locations as it is going through renovations I couldn’t really get a clear shot of what I wanted to photograph without scaffolding being in the photograph, so I think that was part of the reason why my final piece didn’t look as good as I had imagined, so to overcome this problem, when I changed my idea I did not go with this location.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I need to take a couple more of photos for my final piece, annotate what I have done so far and those last few photos, edit my photos, print off my final photos and write my evaluation.

30th November 2019 Project Two
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week we were just finishing writing everything up and then we also had a lesson on denotations and connation’s in which we were allowed to create connations for a photograph that we are not entirely sure on the actual meaning behind the photo because the photographer never tells. Alongside that, I also started planning on creating an idea for my idea, by looking through a bunch of different books to see if I could find anything that I thought related to the idea that I had in my head. I have also started researching the places that I would like to go to and take photos for my final piece.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I had some success as I was able to finish writing everything up and I was then left to just focus on trying to find things that related to my idea which I managed to find a couple of things that related to my idea and I also managed to find quite a bit of research on each of the places that I want to photograph, so I can then choose on what piece of information I can have at the bottom of my photograph.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem The problems that I encounted were the fact that I couldn’t find any books that had quite a bit of information on what I was trying to do as far as I could tell from the books no one had done a similar thing to what I wanted to do and I was thinking on taking my search online to see what I could find but I didn’t know what to exactly put into the search bar so I decided to overcome that problem and just stick to the books and as for the problem of not finding anything that really related to what I wanted to do I just picked out a couple of photographs that I thought were sort of similar to what I wanted to do.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework To make sure that I have everything written up and to start taking photos.

23rd November 2019 Project Two
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? This week we finished writing everything that we didn’t have chance to write up when we were off and then we were taught about formal elements as we would need to take all of those into consideration when we are taking our photographs in the future. After that, we then did a One Minute Left task where we were given a list of things that we could choose from and create a mini photobook from an A3 piece of paper and about 5-8 photos.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I had some success as I was able to write up everything that I missed writing up from last week and the formal elements task and I was also able to complete the One Minute Left Task as well.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem The problems that I had was the fact that the photos that I took for the One Minute Left Task were a little too dark as I didn’t have much lighting available for what I wanted to do and because I did this task at home and didn’t have access to a computer that had Photoshop, so what I did to overcome this problem was to complete the task was to use what I had and then state ‘If I were going to re-do this task I would make sure that I would have enough lighting and even if I didn’t have enough lighting I would find a computer that had Photoshop and lighten it up in there.’ to represent the fact that not all problems have a solution that you can take action on straight away and that some solutions to problems take time.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I will try and start planning on what I want to do for my final piece.

16th November 2019 Project Two
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried? For this task I got the sketchbook I needed and then we had a lesson on sequencing where we were given some pictures to put into an order and create a narrative about what had happened throughout the images we were given. Once, that was done we were given another sequencing task where we were given a piece of paper and on it was the topic we had to create and photograph and how many photographs that we had to photograph, then we had to come back and edit the photos that we took and then decide which ones where the best to make the final series. Alongside that, we had to also come up with ideas of what made a good narrative and we had to consider all of that when we were doing the tasks that I mentioned above. After that, we then leant about Tableaux Vivants where we leant what it was and then we had to look through the examples we were given and see which one we liked the most and then research the history and meaning behind that specific painting we had chosen. We then had to plan how we were going to take the photo and what we were going to use to make it look sort of similar to the original, once that was done we then had to set it up and take the photograph and then edit it. After, all that was done we then had to make sure that everything was written up into our sketchbooks
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why? I had some success as I was happy with how some of the photos that I took turned out because I think that you could see the similarities between the Tableau that I had chosen and the ones I took and I think that you could see the unrequited love that we had for part of our sequencing task. Alongside that, I was sort of happy with how the editing that had been done to the photos that were taken.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem? A problem that I had was at that as I was moving the Tableaux Vivants photos from my SD Card to my hardrive they were accidentally deleted, so to overcome this problem I messaged the person I was working with on this task; who modelled in the photos and edited the photos, if she could send them over to me, so when were next at college I gave her my hardrive and she then copied the photos over to my hardrive so I would have a copy of what we had done.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework For next week I will try and make sure that I will have everything written up for next week.

20th October 2019 Project One
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried?
This week I  didn’t really learn anything as it was mainly about finishing up everything  and making my final image.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why?
I had some  success as I was able to create my final image that I was sort of happy with  and to hand in everything all complete and in on time.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem
The  problems that I encounted was that after enlarging my final image on to an A3  sized piece of paper I wasn’t happy with the timings of that I had done  because even though I was aiming for a ghostly effect I still wanted a little  bit more detail, so I did about two attempts to try and to get it to work,  but I still wasn’t happy with it. However, I would have tried again with a  different time but I knew that I still needed to annotate all of my test  strips and my other smaller attempts of my final piece, so I didn’t have the  time to try another time and so, I just told myself that the underexposure  added to the ghostly effect that I wanted.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework

13th October 2019 Project One
1.What have you learned this week? What new things have you tried?
This week we  made sure that everything was written up and that we had everything in our  sketchbooks. Alongside that, we also did this studio task where we projected  an image on to a screen and also onto some white objects.
2. Did you have any successes? What were you happy with? why?
I did have  some successes as I was up to date with my sketchbook work and I was also  happy with the way that the studio prints came out as they cool.
3. What problems did you encounter? How did/could you have overcome the problem
I didn’t really  have any problems this week as this week I wasn’t really doing any task that  could create problems. However, I did have a little problem to begin with  after I properly looked at my studio work as I didn’t really like them, but  then they eventually grew on me and I began to like them.
4.  What do you need to organize for next week? Research / Materials/ Equipment / Homework
For next  week I plan on getting my final print complete and to get everything that I  did this week annotated, along with my final piece and my evaluation.
