    It's the only question that matters this election. And only YOU can answer it...

    Whom do you TRUST with Canada's economic recovery?

    During this campaign, I've been honest and straightforward with you about how I plan to rebuild our economy, bring back jobs, and Secure the Future for you and your family.

    It's called Canada's Recovery Plan, it's the Conservative Party's roadmap to get our country back on track after COVID-19.

    You may recall that I shared some of the highlights from Canada's Recovery Plan, -- one million recovered jobs in a year, support for every sector of the economy, and more help for small businesses -- with you in my last letter.

    Or maybe you've seen me talk about Canada's Recovery Plan in the news.

    But while I've worked hard to be fully transparent about my plan for Canada's recovery, Justin Trudeau and his NDP and Green allies have not.

    And now, I fear that if the Trudeau Liberals, the NDP and Greens, are given a blank cheque to do whatever they want to the economy after this election, Canada will NEVER recover.

    That's why I'm writing you a third time.

    I'm determined to earn your support for Canada's Recovery Plan because the stakes are too high for you and your loved ones.

    Yes, it's true that in most elections, political parties spend millions of dollars trying to convince you to vote AGAINST something.

[Page 1 Back]     That's what the Liberals, NDP, and Greens do when they drudge up long-settled social issues to try and scare Canadians with angry, American-style political attacks. They're doing it right now!!

    But in this election, there's already enough for you to vote against. You don't need me to remind you of the laundry list of scandals and economic failures that have dominated the headlines these past few years.

    That's why, in this critical election, I'm not turning to the tired old political playbook and asking you to vote against someone or something.

    This time, I'm asking you to vote FOR something.

    I'm asking you to vote FOR Canada's Recovery Plan. I'm asking you to cast your ballot for a plan that

# Places jobs and growth at the centre of our recovery by making our tax system more competitive, investing in small business, reducing red tape, and building up our infrastructure;

# Fights for every sector of our economy and every industry - including the ones that aren't politically correct or politically popular enough for Justin Trudeau to defend;

# Puts our country on the path to a balanced budget over the long term by growing our way out of Justin Trudeau's economic mess while protecting the things Canadians depend on, like healthcare, education, and supports for our seniors; and

# Ends our reliance on predatory countries like Communist China and brings jobs and investment back to our country by reigniting the economic engine of our nation, which has always been powered by traditional industries, like energy, manufacturing, fishing, forestry, and mining.

    Canada's Recovery Plan is exactly what our country needs right now. It is, I truly believe, our only hope to get our economy out of the COVID mess.

    How can I make such a claim? Let me explain...

[Page 2 Front]     At every stage of this pandemic, I've sat across the aisle from the Liberals, NDP, and Greens in the House of Commons. I've looked Justin Trudeau in the eye and gone toe-to-toe with him during some of the most consequential debates and discussions in Canada's history.

    Here's what I learned: The sad truth is the Trudeau Liberals, the NDP, and the Greens don't WANT our pre-COVID economy to come back.

    For the Liberals, NDP, and Greens, COVID is a once-in-a-generation chance to break our economy - for good.

    They want to take advantage of the pandemic to kill jobs they don't like, conduct risky experiments that win them support among special interest groups but hurt everyday families, and help them take care of their insider friends.

    That's why they don't want to debate economic ideas in this campaign...

... why Justin Trudeau wants to "reimagine" our economy instead of rebuilding it...

... why the Liberal Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister referred to COVID as an "opportunity..."

... why the Liberals, NDP, and Greens refuse to fight for certain sectors of our economy, even if it means they die forever...

... and, most of all, it's why Canada's Recovery Plan scares them so much.

    The Liberals, NDP, and Greens know that is people like you support Canada's Recovery Plan, their dreams of allowing all the things they didn't like about our pre-COVID economy to die will fail, and our country will come roaring back.

    But if they defeat Canada's Recovery Plan in this election, they'll be free to do whatever they want to our economy. What a terrifying thought!

    At the beginning of this letter, I told you the most important question in this election campaign is "Whom do you TRUST with Canada's economic recovery?"

    I haven't given up on Canada's economy and I haven't given up on Canadians. How about you?

    Please, with our economic future hanging in the balance in this crucial election, I humbly urge you to show your support for Canada's Recovery Plan by voting for your local Conservative candidate.

    With my whole heart, I believe we can Secure the Future and ensure our post-COVID Canada is stronger than ever. But our economy will never bounce back without your vote of support for Canada's Recovery Plan. Thank you.

      More than anything else, that's the question Canadians ask me when I speak with them about the future.

      Most Canadians - including me - supported spending money during the pandemic to help those hardest hit and prevent a total collapse of our economy.

      You probably did, too, right?

      But no one told Justin Trudeau's Liberals - and their allies in the NDP and Green Party - planned for that spending to go on FOREVER...

      ... and no one told you that, even after the worst of COVID-19 was behind us, the Liberals, NDP, and Greens planned to exploit the pandemic for risky economic experiments...

      ... and no one told you that, instead of focusing on a recovery that works for all Canadians, the Liberals, NDP and Greens would mortgage your financial future to finance a big-spending wish-list, dreamt up behind closed doors.

      Let's face it... The Liberals, NDP and Greens never told the truth about their big-spending agenda for a post-COVID Canada.

      But, in the meantime, I'm writing because I want to be straight with you about Canada's Recovery Plan.

      You may be familiar with some aspects of Canada's Recovery Plan. I sent you a letter just like this one a few weeks back to tell you about it.

      It's the Conservative Party's detailed plan to put our country on the path to fiscal stability by focusing on the jobs, wages, and Securing the Future for all Canadians. And it's designed to help you right now.

      Of course, you likely have questions about how Canada's Recovery Plan will work - and what it means for you...

      That's why, shortly, I'll share with you the specific details about the plan and about how Conservatives will continue to support those hardest hit by the pandemic while returning to a balanced budget over the long term.

      But first, I think it's important I tell you what I believe this election is all about --- and why I'm so determined to earn your support for Canada's Recovery Plan...

      This election is about the economy. And it all boils down to a single choice that YOU must make. You have only two options:

              1) Make our pandemic-era spending - and all the debt and deficits that                    come with it - permannent.That's what you'll get with the Trudeau                          Liberals, NDP, and Greens who have NO PLAN to control public                          spending and NO PLAN to create new jobs.

                  Or...

              2) A plan to create jobs, Secure the Future, and return to balanced                            budgets with a careful, cautious, long-term approach. That's what                        you'll get with a new Conservative Government, focused on                                  implementing Canada's Recovery Plan.

      My friend, I hope you will agree with me when I say that, at this crucial time, Canada can't afford four more years of a Prime Minister who lacks the sense of responsibility, long-term vision, and economic competence required to steer our recovery.

      And we can't afford to send more NDP and Green MPs - who do whatever Justin Trudeau wants - to Parliament!

      Here's a startling statistic.

      According to Bloomberg News, very soon Justin Trudeau will probably have accumulated more debt than all 22 Prime Ministers who came before him COMBINED.

      If we don't change now, I'm afraid Canada will never recover and, for too many, our dreams of "back to normal" will never be realized. But it gets worse...

      Without a plan to Secure the Future, I'm afraid our children and grandchildren will be members of the first generation in our history to inherit a Canada that's weaker, more unstable, and with less opportunity than the one you grew up in.

That's why I say this election is about the economy,

That's why now, more than ever, I believe Canada needs a new government with a plan to Secure the Future, and

That's why I truly believe our country needs you to support Canada's Recovery Plan in this crucial election.

      Canada's Recovery Plan will:

Recover the 1 million jobs lost during the pandemic in one year by overhauling our tax system, reducing red tape, building infrastructure, helping companies expand exports, encouraging the safe development of our resources, and much more!

Balance the budget over the next decade by growing our tax base through more jobs and higher wages. Canada's Conservatives will carefully and responsibly phase out emergency spending - and we won't cut transfers to the provinces, like the Liberals did the last time they were faced with a large deficit!

In fact, under Canada's Recovery Plan, almost 90% of the federal budget deficit will be erased by repairing the economy.

Create opportunity for all sectors of the economy including in the industries Justin Trudeau left

behind, like energy, forestry, mining, fishing, and manufacturing.

Support small businesses by incentivizing Canadians to invest in new businesses, providing loans to small businesses in the tourism, hospitality, and retail sectors, and making it easier to start a business in Canada.

      My friend, the ideas I've presented you with today are just a small sampling of what's included in Canada's Recovery Plan, which you can find online at wwww.conservative.ca.

      If you agree it's time for a new government that will focus on jobs, wages and helping Canadians right now, then I urge you to vote for Canada's Recovery Plan by casting your ballot for your local Conservative Candidate.

         But first, please let me introduce myself.

         My name is Erin O'Toole. I'm the leader of the Conservative Party and I'm running to be Canada's next Prime Minister.

        I'm a husband, a father, and a Royal Canadian Air Force veteran. I grew up in a middle-class neighbourhood at a time when we looked out for one another.

       As a young man, I enlisted to serve our country in uniform, and worked hard so I could go on to earn a law degree. I was proud to be elected to Parliament in 2012.

       Today, as a candidate for Prime Minister, I am focused on our country's post-COVID economic recovery and on providing Canadians like you with the clarity and certainty you deserve after sacrificing so much during the pandemic.

      After all, you deserve nothing less than the straight truth from your political leaders. That's what I believe...

      ... but Justin Trudeau's Liberals and their coalition allies, the NDP and the Greens, don't see it that way.

      Instead of laying out a clear plan to help you and your family move on from the pandemic, Justin Trudeau went over your head, attending a United Nations Conference to tell world leaders the pandemic was "our chance to... reimagine economic systems."

      "Reimagine...?" What does he really mean by that?

       Of course, a fair-minded individual might say one simple statement like that could be dismissed as a slip of the tongue from a Prime Minister without a strong grasp of economic fundamentals. Fair enough.

      But I was especially concerned when Justin Trudeau's Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister told a Liberal gathering the pandemic was a "political opportunity."

     Here's a question... if Justin Trudeau's plan to "reimagine" the economy is such an "opportunity," why won't he share it with you?

     The answer, I fear, is simple... for the Trudeau Liberals, the NDP, and the Greens, "back to normal" isn't the plan.

     For them, the pandemic is a chance to conduct risky economic experiments that will help them win fans among entrenched special intersts and Hollywood celeberities, but hurt you and your family.

     And the Trudeau Liberals, NDP and Greens don't care how much of YOUR MONEY they have to spend through out-of-control deficits and billions of dollars in new debt to do it.

    You see, like most Canadians, I supported increased public spending at the height of the pandemic to help those COVID hurt the most and to keep our economy moving.

    It was the right thinkg to do.

    But Justin Trudeau and his allies -- the NDP and the Greens -- think our COVID-era spending should continue FOREVER!

   That's why I believe it's absolutely crucial we replace Justin Trudeau's Liberals with a new Conservative government that will implement Canada's Recovery Plan and responsibily balance the budget over the long term.

   That brings me back to the main point of my letter and the reason I'm writing you today...

   The Liberals, the NDP, and the Greens may not want to tell you the truth about their plan for a post-pandemic Canada. But I'm not afraid to show you mine.

   Canada's Recovery Plan will:

SECURE JOBS by recovering the 1 million jobs lost during the pandemic within one year. We'll take immediate action to boost sectors hardest hit by the pandemic, helping those who have suffered the most.

SECURE ACCOUNTABILITY by enacting the toughest ethical and transparency laws in Canada, including strengthening the lobbying act to end abuse by Liberal insiders.

SECURE MENTAL HEALTH by boosting funding to the provinces, incentivising employers to provide mental health coverage to employees, and creating a national three-digit suicide prevention hotline.

SECURE THE COUNTRY by creating a stratigic stockpile of essential products and building the capacity to manufacture vaccines here at home.

SECURE THE ECONOMY by returning to a balanced budget over the next decade while protecting important programs Canadians rely on, like healthcare, education and supports for our seniors.

          Yes, Canada's Recovery Plan truly will Secure the Future for the country you and I both cherish so much.

         And you can count on Canada's Conservatives to do it by focusing on jobs, wages, and helping Canadians right now rather than a Liberal wish-list dreamt up behind closed doors in Ottawa...

        My friend, by now, I hope I have at least opened your mind to the possibility of voting for your local Conservative candidate in the upcoming election.

I’ve had this list sitting around for a while (in case I ever want to try something new) and I thought I’d share it, because why the hell not, everybody loves free stuff. I’ve only used a couple, so for all I know these could be complete shit. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW, RIGHT?

GIMP * - Does a lot of the same stuff as Photoshop.

FireAlpaca * - Similar to Paint Tool Sai, so it’s a good alternative for Mac users.

Autodesk Sketchbook Copic Edition * - Simulates the look of copic markers.

MyPaint * - Basic stuff, nothing fancy.

Pinta * - Drawing program modeled after paint.NET.

Inkscape * - Vector/drawing program meant to be similar to Illustrator.

ArtRage * - Digital painting program; you can get the trimmed down version for free or buy the full version with more features.

Sumo Paint * - In-browser drawing app.

DAZ Studio * - Some sort of 3D model poser thing.

Pencil * - Software for animating.

SketchUp * - Tool for making 3D models. Looks handy for stuff like architectural drawings.

Blender * - Pretty popular 3D software.

escape motions * - Some browser apps, fun to fiddle with when you’re bored (the fluid fire simulation is pretty cool imo).

Twistedbrush (Pixarra) - Seems to be meant for replicating the look of traditional media.

Pixia/Phierha - A popular program in Japan, according to the website.

Krita - This was originally made for Linux and it looks like the developers haven’t ironed out all of the kinks in the Windows installer.

Artweaver - Another trimmed down free thing if you don’t want to buy the full program.

paint.NET - Pretty basic kit, probably good for simple stuff.

Project Dogwaffle - I’m not sure what this one is all about because I couldn’t stop laughing at the terrible website.

Speedy Painter - Lightweight digital painting program.

mtPaint - Originally made for pixel art; simple enough to run on older computers.

Chasys Draw IES - Supposed to be some sort of drawing+image editor thing.

PaintRibbon - Seems to be another plain old basic image editor.

DrawPlus - Looks like it’s made for graphic design and vector stuff.
