So tell me, where do you run to when every monster you meet is a reflection of the darkness inside of you.

She wears strength and darkness equally well, the girl has always been half goddess, half hell.

She had lost herself somewhere along the frontier between her inventions, her stories, her fantasies and her true self.

so i finally told Sumi that ive loved her for six and a half years. Finally did it. Confessed my love to the most beautiful precious goddess in my life. I was so ready for rejection, or anger, even fear. But when she said that she wished I had told her before and that she had loved me too but then says that this guy, she thinks, is the one. fuuck I wasn’t ready for that. I had thought that all these years it had been one sided, and when I finally get the courage to tell her face to face. it’s too late.

It’s not uncommon, using fantasy to cope with the brutal truth.

the number one surefire way to make people remember something is to annoy them so here’s an annoying announcement that some of the douchebags i keep seeing are gonna get mad at and then remember because it made them mad
[sidenote: gay/bi/pan/etc, trans, and ace are not mutually exclusive identities and this comic does not imply that. just in case anyone tries to get picky. you can be het-ace-trans and acephobic/biphobic, aro-gay-trans and homophobic, etc etc. endless possibilities exist for being a shitty person.]

It’s hard being a writer, because we set such unrealistic expectations of the world. They say writers see the beauty in everything; the whisper of breath across lovers’ faces, the hidden smile in a mother’s remonstrations, the last plea that comes when an argument ends and no one’s around to hear it. And yet I wonder sometimes if what we see is the things that others don’t notice, or if they’re things that just do not exist. I wonder if the words have enhanced our world - view, or if they’ve actually warped it. I wonder if the beauty I see is not a desperate attempt to make my life mean something; if in reality, meaning is just a human construct. What I see is something no one else does, but does that make me special, or just desperate?
