A necklace I made awhile back. I found the open clam pendant in an aquarium gift shop. I bought the closed clam charms from a local craft store then painted them gold with white stripes to match the pendant.

I made some Meltan (a pokemon) from a ditto model and a hex nut model. I 3D printed the eyes, heads, and bodies. The tails are made of some small wire. The eyes are "floating" with some fishing line.

I recently built a new desktop computer. Unfortunately when I installed the fans, I found out they did not have the proper spacing to keep the center of the fan from rubbing on the case. Fortunately I was able to model and 3D print some spacers to provide the clearance I needed.

I bought a halloween decoration for my desk at work. I was happy with the base look, but I wanted to make it better. I cut off the flashing (extra, unneeded flat plastic), bent the legs so it sat more level, and repainteded it.

A friend of mine is a fan of My Hero Academia and they had a birthday recently. I bought a Midoriya figure, 3D printed a base with an NFC chip, and wrote a Mii Brawler character that looks like Midoriya to the chip.

Did you know you can use acetone (in a well ventilated area while wearing gloves!) to wipe the ink from a foil magic card? I did this to make my own unique foils by using the base and a transparent inkjet-printable decal. I did not get a decent homemade foil but the blank cards still look cool.

Some friends are making a goofy youtube video and one of the characters becomes a cyborg. I was asked to make a phantom of the opera mask in a junkyard-esque style. This monstrosity is the end result.

I made a piranaha plant from Mario as a gift.
The flower pot and leaves came from a craft store. The main stem is aluminum wire (for electric fences). The head is a styrofoam ball that I cut and built up the lips with wood filler. The wood filler ended up being so heavy I had to add additional wire to the stem as well as glue extra weights to the bottom of the pot. The teeth are molded from Thermomorph moldable plastic pellets. There is a tooth pick in each plastic tooth to help hold it in place. Something I learned with this project is that spray paint will dissolve styrofoam, so I will be mindful of that in the future.

It has become hot recently and my new apartment only has a single AC unit mounted in the livingroom wall. I bought some flexible ducting and attached it to the outflow via a cardboard box. This way I can cool my bedroom or office instead of the livingroom.

Awhile back I made this amiibo for Super Mario Odessy. The main body is a novelty candy container, the hat is red clay, and the base is a plastic bottle cap. The rod is a nail secured into the base with wood and glued (with a lot of super glue) into the body. The base coin paint job is based on the original super mario bros coin sprite. I am happy with the end results but if I made this again I will sodder the nail into the body instead of glueing.

A local arcade has vintage pinball machines, but when they break down, repair parts are hard to come by. The owner gave me one such piece that broke but they could not locate a replacement. I took measurements with my calipers, created a blue print, and 3D printed a repair part for them.

At work a supervisor was going to an elementary school to talk about manufacturing and wanted something related to hand out. I found a video demonstrating a elephant that could be folded together. I reversed engineered the elephant from the video. The elephant is cut out of sheet steel (laser) and folded by hand (brake press) with the trunk being curved (roller). Beyond the lesson in manufacturing; I was given a few that I spray painted white to give at blind gift exchanges this past holiday season.

I did a quick project to add some enrichment to my crested gecko's enclosure. I bought a few silk flowers from walmart and some fishing line. I took the leaves off of the wire stems and tied them together to resemble a vine. I used some magnets to secure it to the top so I can easily remove it later. So far my gecko has avoided climbing on it directly but has enjoyed hiding behind it.

I wanted to try a smaller Nintendo Switch dock due to overheat and how often I travel with my switch. I did research into what would be best and found out that any third party dock or AC adapter can short out your Switch. I found a case mod for the dock to make it more compact, which is ultimately what I decided to try. So far I am happy with the results. You can find the case mod here.

2 years ago around christmas time my uncle approached me and jokingly said "I want you to use that fancy 3D printer to make a bobble head of me." I accepted that challenge. I used my xbox 360 kinect and a program called "skanect" to take several scans of my uncle's head from various angles (My kinect and the program seemed to have issues when I scanned too much at once). I imported those scans into Blender and stitched them all together. I created a quick ball cap model to add to his head. I sliced the head vertically to preserve the facial features during printing. As always with cheap 3D printers some warpage occured that required some wood filler and a small amount of modeling paste. Once together I painted it, removed the head from a sports bobblehead, and placed my uncle's head on the body. Unfortunately it was not quite ready 1 year after I told him I would make it, but he did find humor in saying the project "was a bust." This year he was very surprised to find out I had actually completed it. Overall I am very happy how this turned out, but it was a major time sink I do not plan on repeating anytime soon.

I bought some small plastic dinosaurs, drilled small holes in their backs, glued in a piece of jewelry wire (with a pre-bent eyelet), and spray painted them gold. They will make neat little Christmas ornaments on my small tree next year.
