How to improve my teaching
Module 2 asked us to reflect upon our teaching practice and identify areas that we want to improve. One aspect that I can easily work on is the competent use of ICT, so to improve my ICT skills. The many resources that the course participants have shared in this course have inspired me a lot. I plan to take some more time soon in order to try out a few of these materials. I have also reflected upon ways of integrating #PBL and #etwinning into my teaching of primary pupils and come to the conclusion that it is possible to simplify my project idea in such a way that it is realistic and inspiring for the kids. Still need to develop that a bit more in my mind ... ;)

eTwinning in 280
https://twitter.com/Manna72778115/status/1064993363546570752
In my tweet I didn’t mention that I have already worked with eTwinning before.
We used it as a platform to exchange material during a COMENIUS project with 9 partner schools. However, students and teachers preferred other social media for instant communication.
I also participated in a few eTwinning projects with partners I had found on the #eTwinningLive platform. Unfortunately, some students’ parents didn’t like the idea of their children uploading photos of themselves or their rooms etc. on a virtual platform (#TwinSpace). They were worried about data abuse. So I haven’t used the TwinSpace with students anymore.
Privacy and data security is a big issue here in Germany. Whenever I use social media for a project, I have to worry whether I violate any privacy rights or other legal regulation. This is annoying!
I would really like to know whether your schools or countries have similar worries or whether you have found a way to deal with that issue.

First steps
These will be my very first steps in the world of blogging. Up to now I have only read other blogs and almost never commented on any of these. Actually, so far I have felt rather reluctant to share information without having control over who can use or abuse it. So the "Open eTwinning: Project-Based Learning and the Community for Schools in Europe" has encouraged me to give it a try and the project's material that I have read by now has even persuaded me that the benefits of sharing with others are worth taking this risk. Looking forward to having inspiring discussions with you! So don't hesitate to comment! ;) Manna
