A film about health care in India

Summary of the film: The people in India do have to travel very long distances to get medical help. When they are at the place where they get medical help, they have to wait a long time before they are actually helped. The hospitals say people should come back later for help. People then sit outside on the street waiting for their turn to finally be.

The care is also very expensive, so that people cannot be helped in a private setting. Because of this, there are also unqualified doctors who help people, but they are not registered. This is a big problem. because the unqualified doctors want to make money, but they don't know anything about health care. This is also not checked anywhere. 

My opinion about what I’ve watched:  I find it very pathetic that this is happening. it is intense that people have to wait so long for care. I also think that there should be more money, so that the care can be given privately. I hope that this will soon come to an end, but I am afraid of that

Discussion: Drinking aged should be lowered.

The minimum age of alcohol consumption in the Netherlands is 18 years. I was allowed to drink alcohol when I was 15/16.

I think the age for slightly alcoholic beverages like beer should be reversed to 16 years old. Since 2014, the alcohol age has been raised to 18 to prevent young people from putting their own health at risk. But in practice, the abuse of this has only increased, according to the figures.

Argument for: I think the minimum age should go to 16, because I think everyone will do it secretly differently. then the minor abuses the over-18s. I also think that if it stays at 18, it can end up with minors anyway and because of this, store owners and catering employees will run a greater risk of fines.

Argument against: Minors will think less about the use of alcohol. They will go beyond their borders more quickly, which can lead to dangerous situations. Dangerous situations include alcohol poisoning. Young people are also extra vulnerable, because their brains are still developing and alcohol inhibits that development.

Looking back on my internship

My internship is almost over and how fast it went unfortunately. I think it is a pity that it only takes ten weeks, because if you are used to it, you have to leave so quickly.  

I did enjoy a lot of things. I enjoyed the lovely clients, from wich you get so much appreciation and gratitude. I also enjoyed the fact that I have been able to see and practice many technical nursing actions. As a result, I have gained much more experience and I have become more sure of myself.

But, there are still a few things I need to keep working on and keep practicing. I still find that I am very insecure in wound care and don’t know much about the different wound materials and connecting the wound, but i don’t know how to improve this. All everyone says is practice, practice, practice, practice. I also really have to work on bandaging, to perform it properly and accurately.

In summary, I had a great ten weeks in which a I learned a lot.

Travelling

My best holiday was in 2021. My parents are divorced, so I went two times on a holiday in 2021. At first I went to Spain with my mother, stepfather, uncle, aunt and my nephew. We went by car and took an overnight stay. When we got there it was already very hot. This also remained the case during the week that we were there. In Spain we have done a lot of fun things. We sailed on a jet ski on the sea, we've been out to dinner every night, we went to the fair with my nephew, we have been located by the pool and finally, we enjoyed the sun and the food and drinks. The second holiday was with my father and stepmother. We went by car and our first night was in Austria, after this we had an overnight stay in Slovenia and our final destination was Croatia. We did a lot of fun things. Too many to mention. In short, I had a very nice holiday.

My internship

My internship location is in home care in Leerdam. My internship location is in home care in Leerdam. It is very varied what you do per day. You walk your own route per day. The route starts at 7 am until half past 4. 

There are also many different nursing procedures. I have already done several nursing operations. stoma care, feeding pump, intramuscular injection, subcutaneous injection, tube feeding and much more. I really like it and I really like the variety.

I think it's a pity that you have almost no contact with your colleagues and that you don't really work in a team, but are mainly on the road alone. I can see myself working here quite a bit in the future. It is very different from elderly care or the hospital. Home care appeals to me the most so far.

My favourites

I have a few favourite things. One of my favourites is playing soccer. This makes me happy and I like to get better and better through training.

Another favourite thing is spending time with my friends. I Like to go out and drink some alcohol and playing games with them. I get everything out of life and I think it is important to enjoy optimally, so a glass of wine goes well with me

My last favourite thing is an object. I have an photo gallery with all my loved ones on it. I have an photo gallery with all my loved ones on it. This is a list of all different pictures. On some photo frames are my best friends from my village and on other photo frames are people from my class

Me myself and I

Hello my name is Lynn and I am seventeen years old. I live in Beesd and Groesbeek in the Netherlands. My parents are divorced, thats why I live in two different places. I am studying nursing since 2020. I am in my second year of my cors now. I have already done an internship in the hospital, but I also did an internship in a nursing home with people with dementia. At the moment I am doing an internship in district nursing. 

My hobbys are playing football, going to the gym, going out with some friends, going out for a dinner and much more.
