Hi guys, husband and I are currently in a rough spot right now.
Him and I are a disabled couple. Right now he's unable to work because of his disabilities and we're in the long process of getting him put on disability benefits. Currently I'm the supporter of both of us as well as our 2 cats and dog who helps him with his disabilities.
This year has been a rough year for us. Back in April I was laid off my job of 4 years. We went through our small savings and unemployment to keep us going until I got a new job about a month later. I just got laid off that job as well a few weeks ago.
Currently I'm in the hiring process of a new job but we have had nothing to fall back on until I get income again (late October). We have only about a couple dollars to our name and have a plethora of things we need funding for. Electricity, water, car, food for us and our pets, gas so I can start working, and other necessities that will keep us going. We need about roughly 2k
Any and all help would be appreciated to get us by. This is a gofundme link I have set up. Thank you so much in advance.

I feel very sad.
While all the children of the world are waking up in the morning to get ready to go to school, receive their education and build their future If we are lucky to sleep for two or three hours because of the intense heat in the damned tent and the different types of insects , the sound of the damned reconnaissance planes, the terrifying atmosphere of bombing and aggression everywhere and the extreme darkness.
We wake up to start a new day of suffering for our young before our old to stand in line for the bathroom under the possibility of there being water or not, then we search for a place to charge the small battery that lights us up for a few hours or charge our mobiles to communicate and know the news around us and who is left and who was martyred from our relatives and acquaintances, then we search for water that we convince ourselves is possibly drinkable after walking for about an hour.
While the other is busy searching for firewood to light the clay oven to bake and cook whatever flour and food is available.
The biggest concern is for my father who has been searching since morning in what is called the market for the scarcity of goods and their crazy high prices to provide what will satisfy our daily hunger.
Many details...... The words in the whole world cannot describe this meaning that a million and a half Gazans are living in displacement tents in an environment unfit for animal life before human life.
For the second year in a row, we are deprived of our right to the morning school assembly, which has been replaced by the morning bathroom assembly and the takiyat assembly.
Therefore, I call upon you, my dear friends, to extend a helping hand to us so that we can overcome these dire circumstances that we are living in and to have financial savings so that we can leave through the Rafah crossing when it opens, so that we can live like all the children of the world and look forward to a promising future that preserves what remains for us.

Macklemore cancels his show in Dubai to boycott the UAE in solidarity with the people of Sudan:
“At the end of the day I have to ask myself what is my intention as an artist? […] Although dismantling systemic oppression might not fully happen during my lifetime, our collective analysis is evolving. That is where it starts. When we realize our individual liberation IS Palestinian liberation. Is Sudanese liberation. Is Congolese liberation.”
He also writes:
“The last 10 months l've been learning what factors/motivators feed genocide and global systemic oppression. I keep getting led back to self interest over collective interest at the root. Capitalism is the glue that holds this ideology together. And if I take the money, while knowing it doesn't sit right with my spirit, how am I any different than the politicians l've been actively protesting against?”

antisemitism and islamophobia are not opposites; they very often go together. you do not cure one with the other. if you hear rhetoric to the contrary, ask yourself: who does this serve?

Trapped Family in Gaza Appeals for Help to Survive
A Plea for Help from Gaza: A Family Seeking Safety
Hello, I am Rehab Shamia, married to Hussein Shamia (@husseinshamia) ,from a family of 4 members.
We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.
In light of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, we went through very difficult circumstances. We were displaced several times. We lost our house, which I had paid for with all my savings, to the enemy's bombs shortly after our first displacement. We lost all the beautiful things that my family and I used to enjoy, and the most difficult beautiful thing we lost was safety in peace, due to the violent bombing that surrounded us in all the places to which we fled.
to say the least, our days were difficult, as there were no viable sources of employment to obtain the money we needed to meet our needs. Our situation is especially dire because my wife was born in the war, I have an infant and a 4-year-old and we are still stuck in a tent where there is no healthy food, no medicine, no water and no electricity. During the process of displacement, we lost the stable and recreational life that we used to live with me, the family, and the child, Ayham, who lost all the toys that he loved and played with all the time, and was deprived of the beautiful childhood that he lived in the first days of his childhood. My wife, who is constantly tired and exhausted, moving from one tent to another, is slowly sliding towards despair. Every nature of life, from a beautiful house to a tent in the middle of the street, a place to sleep. I need your help in raising money to leave the Gaza Strip
I need to raise money to restore a beautiful life and stability outside the Gaza Strip Everything I tell leaves only a small amount of the suffering we are experiencing. Below is a glimpse of the contrast between our lives before the aggression and the nightmare we've been enduring since it began. Thank you for your support and solidarity

With deepest respect and gratitude,

people who can't pass credit checks still need housing. people who don't have credit at all still need housing. people who can't pass criminal background checks still need housing. people who have been evicted before still need housing. people with past unpaid rent still need housing. people who can't take out loans still need housing. people who can't pay off their mountains of debt still need housing. people who don't or can't work still deserve housing. housing is not an "investment". housing is not the act of "borrowing" property from someone else.
housing is necessary for human survival, no matter how poor, disabled, addicted, insane, or bad with money someone is. every single person on this planet requires housing. everyone. money does not belong in the affairs of housing. housing does not wait for money to come. housing is a human right, that EVERY human deserves, regardless of how much money they make, if any.

nah but the way people will debate back and forth endlessly over whether or not men are fucking discriminated against while completely fucking ignoring men undergoing a genocide because they're not white........ like we're really fucking pulling our hair out desperately trying to get donations for siraj (btw, pls fucking donate, his campaign has been stagnating and we're like. genuinely freaking out which is only a fraction of what i imagine siraj is feeling considering his family's survival hangs in the balance) and it has been such a wildly fucking uphill battle and it's like it needs to be spoon fed to everyone like . is he really going to be punished for not wanting to share images of his children?????????? for wanting to protect them???????? fucking ridiculous. i grew up with stories about the way people turned away from genocide and i'm just seeing that again now on the daily
