Ya how know we go on and on about celebrity fashion but then you find out their printed t-shirt is $259, their jeans are tailored and that awards outfits cost more than a normal person makes in a year? All ethic aside, I’d love it if one year the Met Gala and Oscars and premieres for a year got together and went like “ok come looking smashing- but you can’t wear any single item that cost more than $80, nothing made to order, and nothing is from a store more exotic than Etsy or that one independent kiosk in a Simon chain local mall.” I betcha we’d adjust our fucking self-critical lenses if we saw fucking Lupita N’uongo, Chris Evans, The Rock, Anne Hathaway, Chiwetel Ejifor, Lady Gaga, and Javier Bardem bound by the same budget and access limitations as the rest of us. They’d still be more beautiful than we could ever be cuz of all that make up and planning but at least our fashion goals would be more economically realistic.

i love Legally Blonde so much. all of the women are so supportive of each other im??
when Elle was supposed to get engaged, none of the girls were jealous, they were genuinely happy for her n helped her get ready for the big dinner
when her bf broke up with her they were supportive
when Elle says she wants to go to harvard the counselor lady is like but ur major is fashion, do u have any backup plan? n elle is like nope im going to harvard n the lady is like okay then here’s what u gotta do.
her friends didnt get why she wanted to go to law school but supported her anyway, and helped her study
when she got 179 on her exam (more than her goal), they treated her like a queen
and that’s only in the first 18 minutes of the movie

The whole Pepsi commercial thing reminded me that people always mis-remember the famous flower in the gun barrel photo as being a young woman. It wasn’t. The photo, taken by Bernie Boston, is of George Edgerly Harris III better known by his stage name Hibiscus. He was a member of the San Francisco based radical gay liberation theater troupe the Cockettes. He died of AIDS in 1982 at the time AIDS was still referred to by the name GRID which stood for Gay Related Immuno-Deficiency. The photo was taken at a protest at the Pentagon.
