Makeup isn’t for women.
Makeup is for people who like wearing makeup.

Just remember. There is no such thing as a fake geek girl. There are only fake geek boys. Science fiction was invented by a woman.

Today I learned that the Curiosity sang itself ‘Happy Birthday’ on its year anniversary of being on Mars.
All alone.
Hundreds of thousands of miles from anyone or anything.
Guys I am depressed over robots now.

Look at No 2, Kristen Stewart – star of the Twilight franchise – who has long been a regular of “Most Hated” lists: described as “sulky”, “saturnine”, “ungrateful”, because, at the age of 23, she doesn’t dance down every red carpet like all the other dancing-horse sparkle-ponies, screaming, “I LOVE having my picture taken with strangers! Please – ask me a million questions about my private life!” And of course, that makes celebrity-dependent magazines like Star hate her – but not on my behalf. As a human being, I’m delighted that one of my daughters’ generation’s biggest stars simply wants to do her job – i.e, act – rather than spend her whole life waving and smiling like a lobotomised competition winner. Whenever I see a woman whom absolutely no one can force to smile, I see a woman who’s powerful enough to ignore the rules. All the women on this list are simply powerful enough to ignore the rules. I put them on my “Most Rated” list. Yeah, Star. In your face.

Written in the Bones. New comic, written by Christopher M. Jones & illustrated by Carey Pietsch.
I’m hoping to have printed copies of this at MOCCA, ABPCC, and TCAF this spring, and SPX in the fall! More info to come.

When a man set up a fake internet dating profile pretending to be female, he set out to prove a point about how easy women have it when searching for an online match.
However, his experiment backfired when – just two hours later – he was forced to delete his account because of an ‘onslaught’ of unwanted attention.
Bombarded with explicit and intimidating messages, the man was so shocked he shared his experience in an online forum for women on reddit.
He said: ‘Guys were full-on spamming my inbox with multiple messages before I could reply to even one asking why I wasn’t responding and what was wrong.
Within a two-hour span it got me really down and I was feeling really uncomfortable with everything. I figured I would get some weird messages here and there, but what I got was an onslaught of people who were, within minutes of saying hello, saying things that made me – as a dude who spends most of his time on 4chan [the popular online imageboard] - uneasy.
I came away thinking that women have it so much harder than guys do when it comes to that kind of stuff.’
