“SUPPLIES FOR ALL”-La Escuela Divina Infantita
-20190206-
Today we went to La Escuela Divina Infantita to give them the school supplies such as notebook, pencils, erasers, etc...
It is a small catholic school that with only around 200 students, we went to do the pinta carita, balloons, play football and jumping rope, also, the most important part-giving supplies!
To go to the school makes me think that there are still so many people who are not able to go to school either have enough materials for them to study, we supposed to help them as much as we can, also cherish the opportunity of studying.

Save The Turtles!!
-20181117-18-
In this weekend, the embassy made a activity which we went San Juan del Sur to save the little turtles which were just born. But sadly, the moment we went there most of the turtles are already left the nest, and some of the nest was completely removed by the conservationists in order to increase the safety of the turtles to prevent them to be eaten by the vultures or suffocated in the nest.
When we got there, is about 4 p.m., that we had to find as much turtles as we can before the sunset, and during the sunset we let all of the turtles go to the sea so the vultures would not eat them when they are in the sea since when the turtles get into the sea, their heads would still remaining above the sea to breath, which is also a good time for the vultures to eat them.
Unfortunately we only found two nest of turtles, and in one nest, most of them neither are already dead and with full of maggots, nor became suffocated. It is sad to see the turtles lost their energy to keep surviving and just see the fact that how difficult it is for the turtles to give birth to the little turtles, and when the turtles were spawning, you can actually see that their eyes were watery, and the fertility rate of turtles are less than 1%, which makes me sad.
This experience makes me think a lot about life, we see how difficult the turtles spawning, also how did the little turtles walking to the sea. At that moment, I was really emotional to see it, also I just realized how precious the life is. But also, it is really cool since we are able to see the turtles so close, and we even can help to find the nest which was somehow difficult. If there is another chance for me to go, I would like to go there again just for helping the turtles.

Go Pink 2018!!
-20181015-19-
This Go Pink week is for showing the awareness for the breast cancer which juniors and seniors are going to make the posters and activities.
we made the posters and big ribbons around the campus; also we sale pink foods and sweets to earn the money for the donation; we also made a big kiss board so people can paint their hands or kisses.
I am happy that we have this type of activity in our school since the cancer is something that people have to fight with a long time, even though we are students, we can still show our awareness and support them by the simple things!

Torneo Amistoso de Baloncesto realizado en Celebración del 107 aniversario de la República de China (Taiwán)
-20181013-
This is the friendly basketball match for the celebration of 107th anniversary of the Republic of China. There were five teams which made up of the Nicaraguan Army, the Embassy of Taiwan, the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, the China-Nicaraguan Association and the Technical Mission of Taiwan participated.
In this activity, I knew a lot of people no matter they were from army, or Taiwanese. It is a really good way for people to get closer through playing exercise since they all have the same interest of doing something and have competition, and it was a really amazing competition.

It is way better than what I thought it is, first, I experienced the different culture, also there were a lot of activities and performances that let me be more openminded

Hello Sunshine!!!
Hey guys, It’s Jenny Liu!
I am 16, and I am a junior from the Notre Dame School from Nicaragua, by the way, I am Taiwanese, I moved to Nicaragua in 2016. I like to play music, I play the flute, piano, clarinet, and a little bit of violin. Also, I start to play volleyball in Nicaragua. Besides I know 6 languages such as Chinese, Taiwanese, English, Spanish, French, and Korean. I feel like it is cool to learn a new language since there are so many relative things but at the same time, they are so different.
The reason why I created this blog is for sharing the experience or activities in my beautiful life also for the CAS programme of the IB diploma. Also, I want to record what I have learned throughout this year.
Here are some expectations and goals I would like to achieve through the CAS programme-
1. Before I moved to Nicaragua, I was really bad at exercise. But because of the encouragement of my classmate, I decided to give me a try. It is actually a good experience that I regret why I didn’t even played before. But since I am a beginner at playing volleyball, I wish I can improve my skills such as how to sac well, have more strength and prepare well for the contest.
2. In the language field, I can do better than that. First of all, even though I do know a lot of languages but I do not speak them well. So I wish in this school year I am able to learn speaking skills, grammars, etc.
3. In Nicaragua, there are a lot of people who eat turtles, but turtles are endangered now. In December I decided to go to help the turtles back to the sea, to increase their survival rates.
4. In general, I am a junior student, which means in this year I may have more free time than seniors. I wish in this year I can fulfill my life also to enrich myself. Also, cherish our moment of life.
