Please help us cover our cat’s medical bills.

My beloved boy Nova was born June 12,2023 to a pregnant stray we took in and named Mitzi, who was dumped on our doorstep with a dirty collar and no shelter or food. After hand-raising him and his siblings, Nova and his sister Sophie thrived in our care and have grown into healthy, happy cats. Nova is sweet, affectionate, and too smart for his own good. He will eat anything, from kale and spinach to things that aren’t good for him.

Late one night in the last week, Nova was able to un-latch the trash can and steal several pieces of corn cob from the garbage, eating them and throwing them up for two consecutive days. One of the pieces got lodged in his stomach and intestines and he needed emergency surgery to remove it, as it was unable to pass through his intestines and became obstructed.

Nova was able to make it through surgery wonderfully, but now we are saddled with the emergency bills, which totals over $4 thousand for the emergency vet, x-rays, surgery and supportive care.

Please help us cover this unexpected hardship.
