Come back home… The night in the ferry was super fast despite the engine noise - we were really tired. Time to enjoy the sun and the view from the ferry :)

It is 9am, the ferry to Helsinki is at 4.30pm, it’s time to visit Stockolm. We can't believe we made it!

On the way to Stockholm!

Nobody on the road. The highway is empty, how can we manage to find a ride… we are at the petrol station, around 150km from Stockholm, the best way to find a car is to ask to the few people who came at this station. And we found this man, who came back to Stockholm for his work week. One hour and a half later, Stockholm here we are ! The man was super nice and dropped us at the central station, we couldn’t dream of better :)

Lucky us !

When we decided to go to sleep, walking close to the road to reach the forest, we tried to hitchhike without real hope to find someone, but… someone stopped ! It was a polish man, coming from Norway and going to Gåvla, so to say 700km away. Of course we are in ! It was unbelievable, our hopes to reach Stockholm are back ! The man drove all the night, without break apart to tank up. Well it was hard to fall asleep since our driver looked quite tired as well and seemed not so far from a nap. 6AM, we arrived in Gåvla, 160 km from Stockolm

Swedeeeen guys!

We were waiting at a bus station at Haparanda close to the border (with some sun this time!), a first guy stopped to tell us that he could drive us South, but after his shopping. But before he came back, we managed to hitchhiked… a truck! Which drove us until Skellefteå, where he had to spend the night, and told us that he continues the road the day after at 10PM. It was quite late, nobody was on the road (seulement des kékés du village), and so we doubted on our plan for the following… Shall we go with him until Umeå to take the ferry at 1.30PM? Or shall we better hitchhiked to the ferry to be sure to be on time?… We met two other guys of the competition, what was quite disappointing since they didn’t manage to find a car to the south. Too late, let’s find a place for the tent and go sleeping ★

Oulu - Sweden, unexpected ride after a loooong wait at a bus stop (under the rain, in the cold, nobody stopped, morale affected... It is good to find someone)

Short ride from the south to the north of Oulu (we hope to find more cars there) with this new father since yesterday, congrats !

On the road again ! This morning we didn’t find any ride, so when the bus of yesterday left, we went with them :) Direction Oulu (where our nice drivers will attend a concert of Deep purple. Oh yeaah!)

First night under the tent… after the mosquito hunt, we can now sleep See u tomorrow !

It was worth waiting in Lahti! Almost 2h in a greaaat bus, with a couple of nice and wide hippies :) We didn’t hope such a ride, this couple are going to Oulu ! We are now after Jyväskylä ! We will spend the night close to the petrol station, and try to find a car tomorrow morning.

Sunset in Lahti... Nobody comes :(

First ride until the ring, and now the second one until Lahti ! “Final countdown” in the car, a Chechen driver smoking and texting while driving around 160 km/h (maximum speed 200 km/h) .. this first ride is a bit scaring
