Product review:  J.cat  Cosmetics - Wonder lip paints, and pout-a-holic lipsticks

Pout- a- holic Lipsticks $3.99  each come in wild colors.  The website is swatches are very misleading. the one i had the most problem with was the middle one, the color was supposed to be almost metallic, so it was kinda a let down when i tried it out.   but im happy with them. They arent buttery smooth or creamy, and you have to put a few layers on for good color pay off. but its 4 bucks.  i would say if your looking for cool lipsticks and better quality NYX is your best bet.  All i all the range of colors is interesting and when i have more  frivilous funds to play around with i will get more to play with. i rate them 3 out of 5 stars. (colors in order of the photo: LOVE love, make- up of the day, cracking up) Wonder Lip Paints $4.99 Just like the lipsticks  they come in a wide variety of wild colors. and the websites swatches are a little misleading as well.  First off I AM IN LOVE with these. which is odd for me to saw cause if you follow my tumblr and you know me you know i HATE lip gloss.  But these tech arent lip glosses. they are  highly pigmented lip stains. They are also almost 100% Dupes for the OCC Lip Tars.  I already own mad splatter and red potion thanks to Ipsy. so i decided to get 2 colors that i couldn't find swatches or anything for.  Protip: use a lip brush to apply it gets messy and a little bit goes a long way. The color pay off is amazing and if you are in the market for crazy colored gloss/stain and dont wanna pay the $19 dollars OCC charges for the same thing. THIS IS FOR YOU!!!!  im addicted i want more. they are smooth and not very tacky at all. they however, do not try or crack like other products do... and  when it rubs away or what have you you have tinted lips. pretty awesome!  you can mix colors together to create new ones too!!! i give them 4 out of 5 stars! (colors: Dutchess with Muchness/gold , Chess desire/purple, mix of the 2)

I heard about J.cat thru ipsy. their make - up isnt the best but its good for people on a budget and for things like photoshoots and what not. they are fun to play with! TLDR: wild color lipsticks, ok quailty, great customer service,  awesome colors! CHEAP!

Monthly subscription Period box. $21 a month. They send You Up to 25 feminine care products of your brand choice (liners,pads,tampons,cups). You get a treat they claim is worth $10-20. Medicine,tea, feminine wipes, snacks and other little goodies.  This months theme new years.

My Box- Suppiles: 15 tampons 5 liners 5 pads. 2 single servings of advil, and sanitary wipes worth $11 est.

*due to my "special" condition i had a 35 day period. so i had to buy more supplies, the 25  + the other supplies left over from boxes didnt cut it. 

The Treat:  Blue Swarovski Crystal Pendant Necklace  Worth $30

*Oh! something i actually like, and would probably wear! do i think its worth $30? no.... but i dont hate it :) Goodies:Sunkist Fruit Gems, Choco almond, sea sal bar, Cadbury caramello bar, 5 teas!  est worth $4.5

*OMG Cadbury.... these treats get better and better. even though  it was lacking on the quantity im use to... im happier for quailty products!

*more mini soaps and lotions. but YAY for brand name i know and love! yay for a decent scent!  not to many goodies but But YAY for heating pad! they didnt even write that in on the card free  add in?

PRESENTATION- Comes in a nice sized re-useable box, treats comes in nice gift bags you can reuse as well. supplies come wrapped in plastic bag/ if you dont like getting loose supplies you can request an unopened box of one type of product.

WORST-  eh, if i had to pic it would be the super small size bath gel and  lotion. least i didnt get  candle again

What Surprised Me: a "gift" i didnt hate, and hello CADBURY

TL:DR: if you like getting packages in the mail, if you like treats, if you hate your period this box is for you! supplies, treats, foods, etc etc etc for around $20 its worth the price of what you get even though most of the stuff you get is probably something you wouldnt choose to buy for yourself in the first place. but everyone likes surprises so i say try it out!

I give this subscription box  4 outta 5 stars. I liked just about everything in this box. quality over quantity! if the pampering items were a  bit more or bigger i would of given it a 5 of 5. Bonjour Boxes are turning out to be my FAVORITE sub box i have.  They had a few off months, but they have been soaring since Nov! *i would also like to note, that even though i am annoyed that i never receive their emails (track etc etc etc) they are quite accommodating and their Customer Service is Superb! I Received my box today, i usually get it  towards the end of the month but it was super late, i emailed them and they said apparently my box had been damaged and they were rushing me a new one. i feel like they threw in a few extra goodies. im not sure.

Marsala Lip Stick Retail $14- Its apparently the color of the year. im not to fond of it but the lipstick is smooth and creamy! (card says i would of gotten Marsala or Gisele color, wish they would of given me Gisele, the slighty darker one)

Chestnut Kohl Eye Liner Retail $16 - i typically don't like brown eye liners but i figured, i like their  quality im sure ill use it for my brows, or lips or something!

Blending/contour Brush Retail $22- really soft, large brissel brush. its nice, i like it! (card says i would of gotten the blending or lip brush. would of preferred the lip brush, cause i don't have one)

Malibu SoapWorks natural brush cleaner 1oz Retail $10 - Interesting cleaning concept. iv only used  spray and wipe cleaners before. its a soap solid that you add warm water to soften the top layer. then you swirl your brush in it  and rinse.  it works well enough.

Worth: $62

my opinions:They brush cleaner was added in as a surprise bonus gift, so i added it in to the worth of the box. but on the card they sent it sayd the boxes value is $52 and the cleaner is a bonus. My thoughts on the box are this, SL is becoming my favorite sub box and my fav make-up company! i was pleasantly surprised with what i go when i opened it!

PRESENTATION-  comes in reusable box.

BEST- Brush, cause i am in the market for new brushes, so im happy!

WORST-  the color of the lipstick. would of been happy with a different color. i just dont like the color of the year as a make up :(

What Surprised Me: the soap!

Rating: I rate this box 3.5out of 5 stars. only because its not my favorite box, and i only see my self using the cleaner and the brush the most.  but i didnt hate it.

Not sure on the theme for this month, but the box was a little disappointing...

B4R Pencil- says its the perfect pencil. the color is nice, its useful but there is nothing special. I have never even heard of this company ever. so i dunno

 B4R lip cream -  color is underwhelming, AND its a lip gloss. so i automatically hate it. which sucks cause it has a LIGHT on the applicator and a mirror on the bottle! which is really really cool. 

 Mirabella Face prime- clear based primer. makes my skin smooth, but i dont think it does anything for my face that i need like filling in pores and lines and stuff.  

Flash Tattoos- if they had sent us these like 6 months ago i might be amused. these have been out a long time and i can get a huge pack for like $10 at Walmart. sheet has small like 4 small tattoos. how is this even worth $12?

Tarte serum- Love tarte, hate serums and oils. also hate bronzing things... so  yeah this product bombed for me. 

packaging: comes in a cute box, with pink worms! my box was damaged though.

BEST:  like how i got high end full sized times. most useful thing is  the lip pencil. 

WORST: Flash tattoos..... 

What Suprised Me: 2 products from the same un heard of product line..... not a good suprise...

TLDR: $21 for a box of full sized high end items! one item in the box usually pays for the box itself! worst box i actually got so far. hope feb box is better.

All products were FULL SIZED this go around.  Maybe i lucked out cause a lot of the other items offered were smaple size. I dont hate this bag,  but im not happy about it. kinda just blagh honestly...  I do like how i got a range of items. a tool,balm, eye products, nail product.  and i do believe that this is the FIRST time Ipsy didnt send me crap i dont want and didnt ask for!

E.mott Brush- This is nice, worth the cost of the bag. its cute and compact. firm and soft as well!

 CoastalScents eyeliner- CS products have been all over my sub boxes.  kinda bored with it. like J.cas the makeup is cheap/dupes of other companies products. i will say its nice and dark, take a minute to dry, applicator is a bit to thick for me. but it doesnt smudge.

 Pacifica shadow- Nothing impressive. Ipsy sent me another nude,light colored shadow. its pretty but i have others like it. its similar in color to the caitlyn shadow they sent last time. i do enjoy how its vegan and cruelty free and natural but yea.

malin +goetz lip balm-  i dunno how this passes for a lip balm? this is LIP GOO. this is lip gloss disguised as a lip balm. so obviously I HATE IT. it doesn't even smell/taste good. its a clear goo....

Probelle nail polish- cant hate on ipsy for finally sending me a nail polish. however i have 3 other polishes already in this color. so i dont see myself using this. that an i use jamberry now.

BAG: worst bag yet. plain boring. one side blue one side gray!?

BEST: my favorite thing is the brush. i love getting tools in these bags. i never tire of it.

WORST: lip gloss disguised as lip balm

What Suprised Me:  Everything happened to be full sized.

TLDR: $10 for a surprise bag of mostly sample items. This time i got all full size.  bag was worth around $35. i give this bag 3 stars. because items were full sized, good range of products, most of them i can use. but the whole bag was kinda dull and boring.

  *now time for an Ipsy rant! IpsyPoint! i have over 1500 of them but i cant spend them on ANYTHING. they have had the same 2 bareminerals eyeshadows sonce before i even joined back in july. NO ONE WANTS THEM thats why they are still there!  and when they do put something up its gone in minutes. and guess what the points expire! WTF,  so basicly, ipsy has you do all these things to earn points, they spam your FB wall with ipsy crap too! you get all these points only to find out they expire and you cant spend them on anything. unless you want shit. and dumb crap.  I emailed ipsy about my disdain. lets see what they say!

New Jams  came in!

Jamberry has a deal buy 3 get 1 free! so i got 4 wraps.

as you can tell i enjoy the floral prints and vintage looking ones.

So i tried a new  method of putting these things on. last time i felt it went south cause i didnt have good scissors and didnt trim them at all. so.  this time i used cuticle scissors, and the baggy method.

the TL:DR for  the baggy method. Dunno why it works so good but it works for me.  blowdry/ heat wrap put wrap on take sandwich bag and  wrap around nail and blow dry some more. try it it works. google it or you tube it.

so i tried it and it worked. i have a few wrinkles but trimming them to be way smaller then my fingers worked out better for me. lets see how long it lasts!

Update on last Jamicure:  the  wraps were peeling off and my hair and stuff was getting caught in the sticky side. so i just peeled them off as i was walking around the walmart grocery shopping. really easy to remove  and not to much sticky left on my nails.  it lasted about 6 days! till i removed them. longer then i thought they would!

Review/First Impressions on JamBerry Nails:

If you dont already know: Jamberry Nails are Vinyl nail wraps that come in like 100s of designs from basic colors to wild prints.  they are sold online and thru  consultants/parties. They  claim that they are fun, easy, and durible  with a 2 week lasting time and easy removal. 

Cost: each sheet of wraps is $15 some people say you can get up to 2 manicures and 2 pedicures on one sheet.  im an idiot when it comes to this kinda stuff and im probably going to get 1-3 manicures out of this.   if you buy 3 sheets you get one free!

if you get sucked into the jamberry craze you will be tempted to buy over priced things like the mini heater and application kit. it is in my opinion to not bother with these things.

Pros: lots of designs to choose from, so theres really a design out there for everyone.  not exceedingly difficult to  apply, instructions are easy to follow.  been on  my hands for exactly 1 days ate food, opened jars, showered and they stayed on for the most part.

Cons: maybe this is user error on my part. but i couldn't get the  all the corners to stay down.   and i couldn't get them to lay flat so it looks like i have messy stickers on my fingers for the most part. took over 40 min to get all 10 fingers done.  longer then painting my nails. and its thicker then nail polish and gel.

overall opinion: i am going to give them a few more shots before i say they suck or not.  gotta get use to applying them  i guess.  and see if they truly last 2 weeks or more!  i have 4 more sheets of wraps to play with as well.  i still prefer gel manicures over anything else atm.

The theme of the month was Jingle Belles. and this box was mostly a surprise. i knew i was getting the  palette and that was it.

 Coastal Scents palette- so i noticed that CS products are in boxycharm boxes a lot.  This is a nice palette but i think im gonna  trade this. i have a lot of neutral colors. and i got a lot of palletes already.

 Lina Lashes -  they are so soft and so pretty! the card says that they are cruelty free and the hair is humanely gathered... dunno how i feel about that. 

 retractable brush- its soft its nice. i dont see anything special about it though.

be a bombshell lip product- This is another brand i see a lot in Boxycharm boxes. not that i mind to much, i get a differnt type of product each time. The color is a nice corally kinda color with shimmers. and the packaging is cute.  however, the lip "product" as its called  has a messy application because its a big thick chubby tube. kinda like a jumbo lip balm, which is fine for a sheer lip balm and not a lip color. 

EVA NYC shampoo- its a big travel size sample of shampoo.... thought we get  full size products only? 

packaging: comes in a cute box, with pink worms!

BEST:  lashes, i love falsies and theses are super nice! even if i do question them.  but really this is the only thing that kinda perked my interests. 

WORST: getting a travel sized shampoo when told we get full size products only.  getting a box thats not worth over $100 dollars.

What Suprised Me: the variety of items i got this go around!

TLDR: $21 for a box of full sized high end items! one item in the box usually pays for the box itself! Dec box didnt suck but it could be better. giving this box  3 out of 5 stars because of the palette price differential and travel sized product.

my opinions: I was so excited to get this. They sent out a spoiler saying that Dec box would have this palette but didnt show what it was! I will use EVERY COLOR. There are a lot of similar colors to what i already have but there are some that i have never tried before!   i got a 100 palette for less then $20.  

They  are a pro make up company whos prices are lower because they are online only.  they compare themselves to MAC but really they are like a better version of Sephora and Ultas house brands. I have not done a test yet to see how long the make up lasts with out touch ups but the color payout is nice!

PRESENTATION-  palette is simple and nice, comes ina reusable box with tissue.

BEST- well the palette worth $99

WORST-  well nothing... 

What Surprised Me: That i actually like almost all the colors they put in the palette!

Rating: I rate this box 4 out of 5 stars. only because i would like to try other products from them. and even though a palette is awesome i know what eyeshadow is haha, but really this was the best box i got for DEC.

Snack Review: Pringles White Chocolate ships (limited edition)

WOW a chip that tastes worse then  the Cappuccino  chips!

look: they look like  the original flavor chips 

Taste:  well um they are salty. very salty, with a faint sweet white chocolate aftertaste. more just faint sweet taste. but not the good kid. not the good sweet n salty kind. really they are terrible. they taste like crap. 

over all. i dont know how this chip made it past like a review board or what ever. they are sooo gross.

For those of you who dont know. walmart has jumped on the bandwagon of  subscription boxes. like targets, its a quarterly  box. they say the box is free with $5 shipping. you can only purchase this online.

So this box gave me stuff i already have tried/use and i guess thats ok. theres nothing i hate. im a bit miffed i got  foil packets and a card of smells. its basicly worth nothing.... i dont feel the need to   describe each product i feel like most people know what they are and what they do.

BEST:  cleansing cloths.even though i hate burts bees.

What Suprised Me: i actually like the lip gloss.

December Ipsy Bag Review: “Fearless Heroine”

So, I dont hate this bag. its not the best but its not the worst. i could probably use all the items. but i think im gonna trade some of them. i heard of and used all of the brands already so nothing new for me.

 Bumble and Bumble Repair-  wish i could say  what this product does but  im not gonna use it cause im going to trade it away for something else.

Cailyn mineral eye shadow-  ok,  so this is the 3rd product ipsy has sent me. im tired of it.  I hate the packaging  its bulky, the color is nice though. but i wasnt wowed.

 Nourish Organic eye cream- Not the first time i got a product from this brand. whats going on ipsy! i was bored with the last one and this one is boring too. cant really gauge a price on it because the product itself isnt available for sale yet.  its basic.  

Nyx Lip Butter in Parfait-  I love NYX but i have so many of this kinda product. but im happy to have NYX and its a nice color. its creamy and highly pigmented.

 Lights cameras Lashes- once day i went to ulta and they had a Tarte  make up set on clearance and it had this in it. and i tried it and i liked it. so im bummed i got a nother mascara sample but atleast its a good one.  i still prefere Perversion by Urbana Decay but this is a good travel one to have.

BAG: cute black with a heart. nothing special. actually holds things!

BEST: NYX lip butter. its not amazing but tis probably the most useful thing in here.

WORST: eye cream. im tired of getting  lotions and creams.

What Surprised Me: well, bad kinda surprise.   The amount of items available to us this go around was like 1/3 less then usual. dunno why. the products they sent out were repeats too. so that suprised me.

TLDR: $10 for a surprise bag of mostly sample items. over all i give this bag 2.5 out of 5 stars. This bag was worth 3 times more then i paid. i can use 3 of the 5 products, there were 2 full sizes. however repeats on brands and products is getting hella old.
