Beauty is a Pain

Hey guys! My first scenario in a while! I felt a little bit rusty while writing this and it’s kind of short, but I hope you guys enjoy it! This is a request I got a while ago, and I just want to thank you all again for being so patient with me! <3

        “Hey Joonie?” You called from the kitchen. His hum in response was barely audible as you leaned against the counter. You bit your lip, staring at your phone.

        “Do you... Do you think my eyes are... Weird?” you asked, raising your free hand to touch the skin by your left eye: a light blue contrasting the dark brown of your right one. You heard fabric rustling as Namjoon stood from the couch and walked into the kitchen doorway frowning.

        “Of course not. I’ve told you many times before how beautiful they are.” You nodded silently at his response, setting your phone on the counter and turning to stir the soup cooking on the stove. A moment later his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling your back against his chest. He pressed a light kiss to the top of your head and sighed.

        “What happened, Babe?” He asked, and you looked down into the boiling pot, your eyes following a piece of carrot as it bobbed along the surface.

        “Just... I know you warned me about everything before we went public, but...” you trailed off, setting the wooden spoon down. Namjoon nodded, trying to stay calm, though his tense body behind you gave away his true feelings.

        “I see... Let me see them.” When you didn’t move, he stepped back and took your phone from the counter, quickly tapping in your code to unlock it.

        The page was still open, comment after comment filling the screen. You two had recently gone public with your relationship, and not much was known about you yet. People didn’t know that you had no real ambition to be in the spotlight, that’s why you wrote under a fake name. You just so happened to fall for a celebrity. The fact that you were rather attractive actually seemed to make things worse. Some of the comments on the picture of you two were supportive: congratulating you both and wishing you the best in your relationship. The rest, however... 

        “It’s fine, really. I just have to get used to it.” You offered a slight smile, hoping you looked fine. Had the comments only been about your eyes or your looks, you would be. A moment of insecurity now and then, but nothing you hadn’t dealt with before. But the fact that people assumed you were an aspiring celebrity or model just using Namjoon for his fame... that knocked the breath out of you. You swallowed thickly, holding back the tears of frustration pooling in your eyes.

        “No, you don’t.” His voice was firm as he took your hand, pulling you back into his arms. His chin rested on your head, his long arms enclosing you in a warm sense of calm as his hands lightly stroked your back. You stood that way until the sound of the pot boiling over brought you back from your momentary heaven. You pulled away from his embrace and turned off the burner, moving the soup from the burner and turned back to Namjoon, this time with a real smile.

        “Let’s get some dinner.”

Okay so I don’t know a ton about NCT (including NCT127) in general, but I’ll do my best!

So I chose Taeil for a few reasons. From what I’ve seen, he is a somewhat withdrawn guy when first meeting someone, but once he’s comfortable with people, he can be pretty extra and just plain goofy, so I feel like you would both understand each other in that aspect. I’ve also seen that he can play at least the piano and guitar, so I could see you two playing instruments together, maybe teaching each other if there was one that one of you didn’t know how to play. And then, of course, the singing. I may not know much about the group, but I do know that Taeil’s voice is a gift to humankind. Expect random duets. And appreciate them. Just yes. And as for you blushing when you are playful/teasing someone you like, from what I know I could see him having the exact same reaction to it!

So Hoshi is a very interesting person. He seems to be a naturally very bright and happy person, sharing his happiness with everyone around him, but he also makes sure not to overwhelm people with the energy. He clearly cares for others, like you do, and would let you know when you were pushing yourself too hard and need to eat or rest, but he would also completely understand your drive to work and do well and support you in that. I think he might be a bit awkward at first with skinship in a relationship, but once he’s gotten used to it, it would be second-nature to him and it would feel weird to be near you and not be touching in some way. Music is obviously a big part of his life, so you would have that in common, and could spend hours just sitting together, listening to music and letting your mind wander as you relax.

Hi, can I please get a written ship with BTS? I’m 155 cm tall, have long straight dark hair and brown eyes. I’m usually dressed pretty casually in something like black skinny jeans and knitted shirts. I’m openminded, polite ,creative,softspoken,kind,friendly,introverted,calm & quiet(I can be pretty quiet even when I’m close to someone, but I also have days when I’m very talktaktive). At first I can seem cold/awkward because I’m shy/quiet/in my own world. I’ve been told that I seem like someone who has a responsible, calm, sweet and gentle personality. I’m pretty independent and value authenticity and dislike burdening people with my problems. I always try to be friendly but sometimes get slightly anxious in some social situations as I find it difficult to make conversation with new people (I try to hide that, though).Also, I’m kind of easily distracted and don’t always notice things in my surroundings. I like to paint (actually just art in general, like photography, etc),play piano (I’ve mostly played classical, though),travel,read,be w/friends,sleep,watch movies,listen to music & dance. I’m a major homebody but I do like going outside on adventures and I love travelling. I’m a huge procrastinator but I’m also pretty ambitious and perfectionistic so I’m often feeling like I’m not working hard enough whilst like… procrastinating, haha. I dislike inconsiderate and judgmental people who cannot/don’t care to put themselves in other people’s shoes. I really like skinship and cuddling but only when I’m close to someone. Thank you!

Okay so this guy... first of all, let me say that his charisma and stage presence are no joke. Like you literally can’t take your eyes off him on the stage. But even with that, his off-stage personality is much softer and calmer. Don’t get me wrong, he can be a huge goofball when he wants, but he’s also an insanely caring and supportive guy. I think that once he realized your being a bit cold was from being shy/feeling awkward, he’d do what he could to make you comfortable around him, even though he might feel a bit shy himself. Speaking quietly and smiling gently to make sure you know he’s friendly. I think he’d also understand that you sometimes just get quiet even when you’re used to someone, though I could see him trying to occasionally pull you into a conversation during those times. I think he’d be one to be able to tell when something’s bothering you, and reassure you that you can tell him about your problems and it would never be a burden, although I feel like when he has a problem, he might need you to do the same thing for him. He also seems like someone who is very genuine, wanting people to know who he really is and love him for himself rather than changing to fit with the people he’s around. He’d also help you keep on top of things when he can. Not really nagging, but sometimes it would feel like it (but it’s only because he cares) so you remember to do things or are able to finish things on time. I think he’d love that you have so many talents and interests, and would enjoy seeing anything you create, singing along when you play something on the piano (maybe making up his own harmonies to what you play) and dancing together (possibly occasional dance battles that end in seeing who can do the most rediculous moves). I see him personally as someone who, when in a relationship, would love skinship, but mostly either small things like hand holding or just having an arm around your waist or shoulders in public, and full-on cuddling, playing with your hair, just touching you in any way he can (non-sexual lol) in private.

Thank you so much, hun! I would like to talk about it, if only to let people know what happened, but I didn’t want to force it on people if they didn’t want to read it.

What happened was a lot of things hitting all at once. My life got really busy for a while between college and my job so I had pretty much no time to do anything besides study or work. Then the place I worked closed down so I lost my job. I also ended up having my college schedule messed up and my college decided to add a required course to my major so I have to do another semester of college than planned (and financial aid has been a pain for everyone).

On top of this, my anxiety got to a point where I could barely function. I couldn’t talk to people, I had a breakdown even thinking about making phone calls to family or to make appointments for things. I saw I was getting behind on this blog and for some reason ended up thinking people would be mad at me for having to wait so long and at that time I couldn’t handle even the possibility of that so I had to stay away for a while.

I also got into my first ever relationship and I have enough trouble figuring out things like if I even actually like food that much or if it’s just a coping mechanism, so figuring out feelings for another person is insanely stressful for me, especially since my s/o is much more openly emotional, touchy, and ready for marriage than I am.

I decided I needed to go back to counseling and eventually ended up going on medication for my anxiety as well, so things are going a bit better now. I’m still working through things, but I can actually do things without feeling like I’m going to cry when things don’t go exactly as I planned.

So now I’m back, and trying to get things back to “normal” or at least bearably close to it. I want to start writing again and interacting with everyone, even if it’s just through random posts.

Okay so I feel like Suho would be someone who would, when first meeting, be nice, but not overwhelming. Okay so he is a super friendly ball of sunshine so it’s kind of hard for me to imagine anyone being uncomfortable around him for long after meeting him. And the words sweet, silly, and EXTRA? Yeah, that’s him. He’s also insanely caring from what I can tell with pretty much anyone he comes in contact with. That being said, having someone care for him would be a great thing so he doesn’t get burned out. Someone to make him realize he can be himself and show the emotions others might consider “negative” too. Like Suho, I see him hyping you up like crazy. You take a random picture? He either looks at it and joking says it’s bad before giving you a huge hug and saying he really thinks it’s beautiful, or he just steals your camera/phone and runs up to the nearest person to show them how talented you are. Playing instruments? Just sits there in awe and makes you (at least try to) teach him how to play. You’re singing? He’d sometimes try to join in if he could, but most times just stare at you with the softest look of pride and adoration.

I’m back!

Hello to anyone who may still visit this blog! After quite a long break, I’m back!

I want to start off by apologizing for disappearing for so long without notice: some things in my life happened that prevented me from being able to work/post on here. I won’t go into detail unless you ask, as I don’t want to force my problems onto all of you, but if you feel the need to know, go ahead and ask.

But fortunately, things have gotten to a point in my life where I feel able to resume activity on here! That being said, I will be making a few changes.

1) For the time being, there will not be an update schedule. I will have to write and post as I am able/motivated, which will hopefully be fairly often.

2) I will temporarily close ships and requests so I can work on what I have already.

3) I will be changing the groups for written ships, as I will not have the time to look up personality profiles for every group. I will let you know when I have narrowed down the groups for written ships (selca/selfie ships will still be for any and all groups)

4) unfortunately, certain series I have started may not be updated for a while, if at all. This is mostly referring to “Brother vs Boyfriend”. I have not yet decided if I feel able to continue this story.

I am so sorry if this upsets anyone, or if my absence was upsetting, but I do have to look after myself first.

Hi there! Can I get a ship with NCT Dream?? (I mean I’m friggin’ 13, this is the only group I have a chance with because a 5-2 year age gap isn’t that bad.) My name’s Celeste and first off I’m a prOUD CANADIAN (I will fite anyone who insults Canada, actually no I won���t I’m really weak), I’m also from the capital if that means anything??? Idk, it just gets really cold during the winter and super duper hot during the summer (the more you know *insert gif here*). Though it may not seem like it I’m actually really mature because in the past my father has had health problems, but because of this I’ve developed really bad depression and anxiety, plus I have severe eczema (I’ve had it since I was two months old so I know no diffrent). Personally my intrests include knitting (I make a lot of stuff, I’m practically a grandma), learning languages (learning Korean, Spanish & Polish, bonus: I speak French), birbs, I also love writing. I asked my friends to describe my personality and some things they said were that I’m curious to learn new things, easy to get along with, smart and verbally talented, open minded, funny, sarcastic and controlled kind of energetic.

Overall I see myself as a chill person. I’m not very moody and I don’t let my emotions get the best of me. It’s nearly impossible to get me mad. Irritated yes, but not mad. If someone tries to pick a fight with me I’ll kill them with kindness.

With those who I don’t know very well I’m tad more quiet than normally but also more polite and sweet. I hate hurting someones feelings and with a unfamiliar person I’m not sure whether they understand my sarcastic sense of humor. So I hold it back until I know.  I’m also very freedom loving person. I like spending time with others but I need to get my own time. Other words that I would describe myself with are for example honest, fair, stubborn, friendly, eccentric and lively. I can be caring but I’m not the motherly type at all. However I’m very comfortable with skinship and I’m rather affectionate with my close friends too.

I can get along with anyone if I have to but those who are ignorant, close minded, judgemental or take themselves very seriously are types I don’t really vibe with.  I also dislike those who try to boss me around or try to tell me what to do (in a demanding way, I don’t mind friendly advice). If someone tries to do this despite knowing I don’t like it, I will turn cold rather quickly.

I love all kinds of animals and people who like animals, taking walks, driving at night while blasting music, art, houseplants, windy weather, white wine, drawing, makeup and fashion, watching movies and documentaries and playing video games. I love people who can make me laugh but who I can also have deep conversations with. Also those who are spontaneous, knowledgeable and have a good sense of humor. People who I can go on a adventure with. Thanks again!

(HE LOOKS SO SOFT AAAAAHHHHH) So my first thought was Rap Monster, but Jimin just seemed to fit better in my mind. I feel like he’d be one who could really appreciate you being more withdrawn (more quiet) when first meeting someone, and I think he’d end up liking that you acted so sweet and polite. I also kinda think that once you’re more comfortable around each other, he’d be amused by your sarcasm (especially if you were talking to a different member while being sarcastic he would likely be dying of laughter and cheering you on). I think he’d also appreciate being with someone who is more open-minded, energetic but not overwhelmingly so, and I also think he’d like the fact that you’re kind and caring but not super “motherly”, and would relate to your love of people and need for alone time. I do think he could get annoyed with your stubborn personality at times, and I feel like (at least at first) you would likely have to be the one to initiate most skinship. I see him as someone who would love making you laugh (then collapse in the corner from embarrassment), and would love watching you while you’re drawing or talking about anything and everything, possibly going out of his way to learn random facts just to talk with you about!
