Precedents
The idea of creating a first person flood experience is how I wish my final project to be. Understanding the working of virtual spaces and the effect of such spaces was made easier by following these precedents: ScanLAB Projects and Immersed (Initiative by FEMA).
1. ScanLAB Projects: ScanLAB Projects is an award winning creative studio. They specialize in exploring the use of large scale 3D scanning in architecture and the creative industries. Founded in 2010, ScanLAB Projects engages in designing online environments, immersive installations and objects. Using 3D as their primary medium, ScanLAB Projects has been critically observing places and events hoping to glance at the future we will all inhabit.

2. Immersed: To help educate community leaders about the value of preparing for the worst, FEMA has created a virtual reality experience called IMMERSED. This tool puts users at the center of a flood crisis, allowing them to assess damage in a community and see the benefits of mitigation first-hand. Through simple tasks, users experience a major flood event in a real, personal way.

VR Workshop - Unity
3 days workshop on Unity to understand the basics of working in a virtual reality environment.
Along with modelling, Unity uses coding and was very interesting to learn how to work with a new programming language
