miles of fingering weight yarn and dozens of hours of my life later ….

bright blue crochet dress

100% mercerized turkish cotton

1970s pattern altered to my own design

~30 hours (so far)

i still need to add edging to the neckline and straps, ruffles around the bottom hem, and a corset tie in the back to help with shaping (these will all take 5x longer than i’m expecting i’m sure) but this is the biggest crochet project i’ve made to date & i’m so surprised it actually ended up fitting me LOL

These started as a plane project and they worked great for that (there's no cabling here, just yarn overs and decreases). I'm really excited to wear them once the heat wave dies down and I can pretend it's not summer... I don't know if I'll even block them because the pattern opens up really nicely once they're on my foot.
