Scan No. 5 Finally got one with negligible defects. I do still have a deformed lip and my hair falls off the grid but at last, we've made it to the print stage. Although the end result is a largely scaled down version of the original plan for budgetary constraints, it's been an exciting experience tackling new software and methods of production. Big shoutout to Billy there!

Self-Directed 01 Discussion
‘You Ugly’.
Discussions on surveillance are never far from sparking debates on the ethical concerns of the ‘Big Brother’ watching and dreams of a ‘safer’ environment.
Everyone holds an opinion about CCTV cameras, regardless of it being positive or negative or even neutrality, it is a stance. We have a lot to say about these cameras we believe are watching us. What gives humans such supremacy to believe that we are the object of interest?
Turning the tables on this idea of the camera watching our actions, what if the camera didn’t even care about us at all?
What if Thoughts Could we teach the CCTV to decide for itself? Could we give the CCTV a voice? Could we give the CCTV a mind of its own?
What if the CCTV defied itself?

Final Build with the test screen. The screen fabric would have to be sewn together and stapled into the frame tomorrow before the Crit. The spinning wheel might not be spinning just yet but the intention is to get it spinning when someone walks through the 'window'. To attract possible interaction.

Testing out the different fabric samples with the projector and settled with the cotton white lawn. Got 2 x 1.5m by 2m fabric for the screen. Did a test run to figure out the distance required and whether the light conditions were adequate.
