hey do you play pokomatsu? could you give some advices and/or explain some of the things on the game? for example those cards you hit and can choose a power-up
Hi! Yeah I do play Pokomatsu! I'd love to explain and give tips on some things! I hope you don't mind how long this answer is going to be tho 😅
I'm gonna start with the boys' skill balls and go into more detail under the cut about their special moves, and other ball types as well as strategies I PERSONALLY use.
❤️ Osomatsu's ball - Annoys Opponents(?) (idk what effect it has on enemies but that's what it says)
(*Note: I'll translate all the boys' Ball convos in another post because the readmore gets glitchy for some reason here if I put too many photos)
💙 Karamatsu Ball - Doesn't get affected by Obstacles (so you can like hit opponents in the back or those that are blocked by objects), goes straight through and only bounces off the walls
💚 Choromatsu's Ball - Gives enemies a passive green fire (read: Ego flame) that makes them take damage every turn
💜 Ichimatsu's Ball - Gives enemies a passive purple poison that makes them take damage each turn (both this and Choromatsu's can be used for one enemy so like double the damage)
💛 Jyushimatsu's Ball - Splits into three and bounces infinitely as long as there are enemies and walls to bounce off of (it speeds up after a while and you can choose to wait or call it back (using the button in the bottom left ABOVE the pause button if you want)
💗 Todomatsu's Ball - (from what I understand) It Deals extra damage to enemies in form of a bomb(?)
Misc Balls:
Akumatsu Ball - Has a chance of doing a One Hit One Kill to an enemy (rare Crit Damage basically)
F6 Ball - "A ball filled with the charm of F6. When it hits an enemy, it rarely causes a mellow state." How I understood it is that it either makes them hit you with less damage or miss a turn to hit you if they're a passive damage dealing enemy.
Riceball Bots Ball - fires a laser across the screen when it hits an enemy, direction depends on who you pick (Shake ↕️, Ume ↔️, then the Omidirectional ball)
Sukeroku Ball - recoil shots (like shots that have already bounced off somewhere else) deal more damage
Lotion ball slimy ball (a pink gooey looking ball) - When it hits an enemy, it bounces in a random direction.
Darkness Great Demon World Fucking Darkness Hell Caste Ball (left) - Inflicts a large amount of damage only once on hit.
Chantoshita Ball (middle) - When you hit an enemy, a "proper" missile will fly to the enemy with the lowest HP.
Enemy Specific Balls (left) - Where you can deal more damage to the pictured character
Now let's talk about skills!
I made a small Google Lens Translation of their in-game skills here but I'll explain it some more here. Minus the brother you're using as your main, you can drag a sibling onto the board (after 6-7 turns) to activate their skills. YOU CAN ONLY USE EACH BROTHER ONCE PER GAME
❤️ Osomatsu's Skill - With his "natural charisma" (I swear that's what it says) he blocks all enemy movement for one turn
💙 Karamatsu's Skill - Takes damage for you from enemies for two turns (that's SUCH a Kara skill 😩👌)
💚 Choromatsu's Skill - Deals a ton of damage to a large area with his "uncontrollable self-consciousness" (Again that's really what it says XD) and also inflicts passive burning to enemies like his ball would.
💜 Ichimatsu's Skill - Calls all his cat friends with some high grade sardines and replenishes your HP to max
💛 Jyushimatsu's Skill - Reduces all enemy skills (minus the boss) to 14 HP (fun fact: If you use this skill on a splitting enemy type, their doubles spawn at 7HP!)
💗 Todomatsu's Skill - Mercilessly drops bombs all over the screen, dealing damage to all enemies.
Misc skills (cards):
(first left) There's a card where it's a ball next to 2-3 arrows pointing up and that basically increases the damage/effect of the ball
(middle) There's also a card where it replaces TWO of your normal matsu balls to a shown choice of ball
There's a combo skill card that looks like variations of (see leftmost) like with a number and the icon of it's effect (essentially the effects are the same as skill balls except that these are kinda passive) Where after you get the certain red numbered combo (i.e. the amount of times your balls hit an enemy in one turn) they randomly drop an effect on the card to an enemy to deal damage. (For example: This one is a Choromatsu type skill (it's the same icon Choro's ball has) so EVERY 40 combo hits, they'll randomly deal the passive fire damage to an enemy.) There are other kinds ranging from 30-100 too! Like one where every 30 combos your normal matsu ball splits into two for more damage
Now there are 4 different enemy types (That I've found so far)
Passive enemies (no damage until they get to the end of the board)
Matsuyo, Matsuzo, Yowai Family, Nyaa, Busu, GirlyMatsu, Normal Dekapan, Proper matsus (s3e1), etc
Damage Dealing (Deals damage to you per turn)
Iyami, Chibita, Hatabou, Shotgun Dekapan, Dayon, etc
Moving/Teleporting (doesn't deal damage but moves around the board randomly)
Murakami Kouji, etc
Splitting type (when they die 2-4 more with half the HP of the main body show up randomly on the board)
Shounosuke Hijirisawa, etc. (I really really hate when he's the final boss)
As for strategies, my main go to is Oso mostly because he's my bias and because the other brothers' skills work better for my type of game play which is pretty reckless. In terms of balls I like to use, I ALWAYS pick the Jyushimatsu, Choromatsu, and Ichimatsu balls. Because Passive damage to enemies will always be my fave, and Jyushimatsu's ball paired with a combo card (my highest combo was around 1024 with just ONE Jyushi ball, I almost fell asleep waiting for it to finish bouncing XD).
Some tips I can offer is that,
If there are too many Damage dealing type enemies and you can use a special skill, I suggest either Kara (if you're confident you can take them out in the next two turns) or Jyushi (so you can one hit ALL them).
Make use of the walls and the dotted line guide! The more bounce the more chance you can hit a ton of enemies in one turn
If your phone is like mine and a lil bit slow (read: sometimes hella laggy) when you buy something that isn't a memory gacha in shop there are two pop-ups, one with the "are you sure you want this?" with blue and pink buttos and another that's basically like a confirmation with just 1 blue button. WAIT FOR THAT
You die when your main matsu reaches 0HP and you can choose to revive with half HP for an ad OR revive with full HP and all the brothers' skills reactivated PLUS decrease the HP of all enemies for 100
Just thought I should mention esp if you can't read Japanese, Google Lens is good for a quick screenshot translation if you really wanna know what everyone is saying in the home chat ^^, ALSO the blue usually means no and pink USUALLY means yes. So jic you accidentally click it.
You can use the "Auto" button (on the bottom left BELOW the pause) on the easier stages to collect memories from that level quicker since the chance of dying there is pretty small (I've been doing auto on old levels a lot lately because stage 24 is merciless and I've been stuck there for 3 days)
Everyday Chibita's shop (the red oden shop icon left of the matsu house) refreshes and you can get tons of stuff for pretty cheap (Like new ball designs, new formats for the resume, memories for coins instead of gems, etc.) Also fun fact, you can tap Chibita and it hits his forehead!
There's a special challenge stage right next to the main stage that refreshes weekly(?) And it mostly gives you a 10 g guarantee for beating it but it's also just a fun challenge since enemies are way harder (ALSO you can click the ℹ️ next to each level even in normal stages, to see what enemies will be there so you can prep in advance)
In the bottom left of the home screen there's two buttons, a gift and a trophy. In the bottom right, there's a dart board. Pokomatsu is super generous with their gems so collect from those everyday if you can.
Gifts - Every 8 hours Pokomatsu gives you 1 free memory, some gems and coins.
Trophies - basically rewards for completing stuff, press the button to collect all rewards as shown (sometimes they give up to 600 gems!)
Wheel of fortune - for an ad, you can spin the wheel and Pokomatsu lets you stack up your rewards, so if you spin even just once a day and collect it by the end of the week you'll have a good amount of rewards or coins depending on your luck
And that's pretty much it for now! Sorry there isn't much else I can help with, and also for how INCREDIBLY long this post is but I hope it helps! If you have any extra questions I'd be happy to answer!
Also if you want to download the game (and other country exclusive games) you can download this app for that! Enjoy!

Reminiscing how beautiful former character designer Naoyuki Asano’s illustrations and sketches of the boys were 😢
I’ll really miss how round they all were 😭🙏
(not to mention how Mr. Asano’s sense of anatomy and dynamics of poses were just 👌👌👌)
