Alright here is a simple colage I made of Steps & Tools for charcoal 😊 in step one I use a large soft willow stick to make the out line and foundation, step two I use a small blending stump to blend and smooth out any dark edges and create light shadows, step three I use a soft B6 charcoal pencil to define the darker features and create a hard edge where it's needed, in step four I use a kneaded eraser to separate the light and dark areas and bring more dimension to the face, my favorite step is step 5 I use a white charcoal pencil in all the areas where light hits, and use it in the eyes to bring life too the sketch 😊 I've only been doing charcoal for a few days but if you decide to try it out and need some help just DM me
