Have you told Kyu about Robin and Yuichi?
“...How would one go about that given that awful sister of mine is living her awful life in a different world entirely in most likely the most awful manner possible?”
“...Have i mentioned she’s awful?”

Koto, where's the best vacation spot in the human and demon worlds?
“Nothing beats Mexico in the human world. It’s got great resort areas, but also an underbelly to satisfy any darker needs. Brazil is equally good for the same reason. As for the demon world, I’m particularly fond of the Field of Screams. It’s really a quaint little place to get away from it all.”

She wasn’t always the brightest bulb in the box, but Koto was no idiot and could sense when a man was withdrawing from her. Everything about Robin’s body language, the look in his eyes, the tenor of his voice told her he was uncomfortable with the situation. What she had long taken for a lack of experience or familiarity with romance and passion now appeared to be downright obliviousness on his part. Koto quickly put the pieces together.
“You...don’t see me romantically, do you...?” Color was already rising to her cheeks. Embarrassment, she could still remember. The stinging feeling behind her eyes, the tightening of the muscles from her neck to her jaw, she had more trouble placing, but as she swallowed she remembered how to hold back tears. She wasn’t heartbroken, but she had never been so embarrassed in her entire life, so utterly ashamed of herself and her wounded ego.
She wouldn’t let it go. “Fine,” she swallowed carefully, standing up. “If you don’t believe it, then...Why don’t you ask? I don’t need to.”
Back to her old ways, Koto fled, finally choosing flight over fight. She didn’t want that bastard to see her cry and think she was upset over him. The only person she had to blame was her stupid self for ever thinking she could belong here in this world.
What was this feeling? Oh, yes, that right: Fear.
The gaze that Koto was giving him, made Robin start to wonder if it was possible she would strike - should he not say the correct words right now. As he knew deep down that there was nothing more than truth to what the young lady was saying to him, thanks to the conviction in her eyes.
And the comment about the book. Was that what started all of this? His little prank, to try and tease her into becoming not so wound up over her child having shown up in this time… Well, he certainly couldn’t let her know that it was a joke now. The young man thought that his fox-tailed friend had already figured this out, back when he was walking out of Cordelia’s place - assuming that she had overheard him talking to the pegasus rider about how amusing Koto’s expression was, over finding the book - but now it appeared that he had jumped the gun on that deduction.
If he were to explain to the young lady now, as to the reason for him to put that book there, Robin feared it would completely break her spirit. So, it was best to let it go, allowing her to believe this as a little white lie to save her from feeling foolish and alone.
“Koto… I… I don’t know about that. I can’t see the future, and neither can you. So, I’ve been thinking that it might be best for you to get one of the others from the future to tell you. I don’t want to see you lose your kin, if it ends up being that I’m not the person.”
There was a moment where Robin shifted his gaze away, looking over at his desk ever so slightly - before turning his attention back to Koto.
“The only thing I know for a fact, about the future, is that I cold-heartedly murdered everyone. It didn’t matter if I cared about them or not, I became the monster that everyone feared.”

“...You know, there’s more to life than men, Kyu,” Koto tacitly scolded, knowing full well it was the sort of values mother had instilled in most of them. And Koto liked men well enough herself, but she had a true passion for the Dark Tournament, for bloodshed and violence. Even with the men she felt herself drawn to, there was sado-masochism in play.
Her brow furrowed at the snub at her professional life. “I’m good at my job. I have the tournament rule book memorized, and I have to keep strong and agile enough to dodge attacks and keep up with the action, all while providing commentary and refereeing. It’s not exactly easy, but I love it.”

Well. That was something she certainly liked. His enthusiasm was tangible, definitely another battle nerd, fighter freak, whatever the kids wanted to call it these days.
With a smirk, Koto presented herself with all the confidence of any pop idol. “My name is Koto, and I’m the cute announcer for this years Dark Tournament~!” But her smile quickly faded as she remembered and revealed, “...Well, I was. I was supposed to be the referee, but the tournament committee thought I have a soft spot for humans. Can you believe that?”
She shook her head and pressed on. “Regardless, this now gives me a great opportunity to sponsor a team, and what way to get back at those bastards who stole my limelight by showing them all up with a team made up of creatures they accused me of favoring~!”
The vixen was nothing if not spiteful, a true demon.
“I can register your team, but know that once I do that, if you don’t participate or try to run away, the committee will immediately kill you and everyone you know and care about. It’s not an option to walk away. You’ll also need 4 other team members and you’re allowed one alternate fighter incase one of you dies.”
From the rules alone, she didn’t need to mention that this would be a brutal competition.
Widened hues glimmered in hope, a broadened smile that invoked by nature was a blessing expression to behold of, to hear such miracle that existed!
“R,Really?” A swell of excitement surged him up, giving him more the reason to be pumped up, and met strong adversaries in any tournaments! “This is so thrilling! I’m definitely ready for it!” Being able to train and level up way more faster by undergoing firsthand experience were things that’d definitely aid him in further future combats!
Veldime was sure at its peaceful state, yet Adell remained worrying about its future. What if another Overlord invaded to throw his Human World into a state of chaos?
Thirst for either fight or power, contributions from tournament were benefiting already in various ways for a winner. It’s a shame to miss out any prizes no?
“So what tournament have you found, or heard?” Most of the tournaments around the end of this season were usually packed, unless she got the latest scope on an arrival of a new tournament or something. Anyway, he won’t be disheartened if she had placed her invitation!

“I don’t care if you don’t understand it,” Koto scoffed. “It’s the best job in the whole world. It’s not just about being famous and all the attention, it’s also the front row seat to all the best fights, the inside scoop, the change to get to know these fighters and be a part of the action.” She always had been a bit of a battle freak, despite not being too powerful herself.
Gross. Why did she have to act like she did it out of some sense of kindness? “Shut up,” she grumbled, turning away from her. Never in her life had she met such a frustrating woman. “This is the last time I do anything for you. I don’t want you to keep bothering me after this, got it?”

Blissfully unaware of the inner turmoil she had caused Robin, Koto simply smiled as he continued to eat, pleased with herself and the developments they’d made together. It wasn’t until he said he had something to ask her that she stopped swishing her tail back and forth happily.
Strange question. “No...” she replied slowly. “Before, I was too scared to ask. I didn’t want to know. I thought that if I ignored it, maybe it would just all go away. It wasn’t until I found out on my own that you’re Yuichi’s father I could finally start to come to terms with it. After all, it just makes sense.”
She had a bad feeling about this, her stomach suddenly turning in anxious knots. “You see it, don’t you? It just makes sense. You’re not really a human, or at least not a regular human. You’re strong, and you’re kind despite the darkness inside of you. Looking at you like that, I guess it seems pretty obvious why you’d be the one I’d pick,” she explained, watching him carefully. “Are you fishing for compliments or something? You almost seem surprised, but you’re the one who started all this by leaving that book for me to find.”
Fight or flight instinct was kicking in. For now, she chose fight. “Why do you say ‘your’ son? He’s your son too. He’s our son.”
Robin, having sensed the genuine tone in her voice, knew that this could no longer be just a joke. Koto may not be human, but one’s emotions can’t ever be truly hidden when they speak. And, her last few words abruptly brought come concerns to the young man. Even though he knew that the Fox had been acting a lot more kindly towards himself, he never would have guessed that this was why - with how adamant she had been about hating the idea of a human partner.
The tactician knew not what to do. He didn’t want to get married to anyone again, just yet. However, he also didn’t want to hurt the young lady before him - especially after her line about feeling as if she might finally belong. So, telling her that he wasn’t currently interested in settling down with anyone was out of the question.
What he needed was time. Time to figure out what caused this line of thought within Koto, and time to think of how he should react to all that was going on.
However, there was one thing that he knew he was able to say at this point and time - to help give him that time. It wasn’t something Koto would likely want to hear, but it was something that needed to be said - regardless of if she was interested in himself, or another.
“Hey, umm… Koto. There’s been something I’ve been meaning to ask you.”
His portion of the meal complete, Robin looked over - a curious gaze in his eyes, as he asked his question.
“I know it’s a touchy subject for you, seeing as how you weren’t that happy to see your future child - when he first arrived. But, did you ever ask Lucina and the others about who his father was? Surely they would know, with them being around the same ages as us.“
“I wouldn’t normally ask this, especially when it’s been such a good morning. But, I worry about your kid. If you were to end up with the wrong person, he could very well disappear from existence.”

[[Also, who updated the YYH wikipedia page to give certain demons ranks and ages when they’re never listed? Lol I definitely don’t think Koto is 15 or a D- class demon. I’m a little salty. Source? Reasoning?
Koto’s page especially seems to have a lot of weird opinions and more headcanon type stuff thrown in it.
Kinda salty tbh.]]

Question for mun. Does Koto have a good singing voice? And if so, what genera does she like to sing?
[[Koto has a decent enough singing voice--it’s her job to be heard, after all! We know that after YYH ends, the Cult Trio is made up of her, Juri, And Ruka, but we’re not exactly told what they do aside from the fact that they’re idols who have become famous in the human world as well as the demon world. I imagine Ruka is a movie star type, Juri specializes in singing, and Koto is more of a television personality. However, they all often cameo in each other’s work or may collaborate on something. So imagine something more like Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’. They’re in the business. They’re pop idol types.]]

You're trying to court a human mate? For shame! Where's your demon pride?
“...Who’s courting a human mate? The closest guy to a human I can think of being interested in is that Yusuke Urameshi kid, but he’s a mazoku. He’s also too young for me and basically married, but regardless, everyone knows my heart really lies with the icy shinobi with a heart of gold, Touya. But if Kurama ever decides to become Yoko Kurama again, he should definitely give me a call~!”

“There’s a lot of turnover in this business. One day you’re a beautiful idol, the next you could be a washed up old hag whose looks have faded. I’ve seen women even prettier than you become yesterday’s news.” Anything to get under her skin, anything to get back at her. Koto wouldn’t stand for feeling inferior compared to her older sister anymore.
“You may not be mother material, but can you really say that our own parental figure was much of a mother herself?” It was a brief respite from the snark, a moment of reflection that only another sibling could share with Koto. Regardless whether or not Kyu or Koto or any of their siblings loved their mother, objectively it was still pretty clear she hadn’t been the best at childcare. For a brief moment, Koto could recall a time she had actually liked Kyu and looked up to her. At least she smiled at her. Perhaps it was that memory of a drop of kindness and warmth that kept Koto from rejecting Kyu’s request. Instead, the younger fox was silent, finally relenting, “Do what you want. I know you will anyway.”

The vixen was completely blind to Robin’s confusion, too busy patting herself on the back for being a model wife in her own way. His compliments were much appreciated, but then again, she would have been upset if he hadn’t acknowledged her work.
“I’m just trying this out,” she admitted, scratching the back of her head. “It’s been awhile since I’ve cooked for others, but I wasn’t always famous or wealthy, you know? That sort of thing took time. I had to fend for myself for awhile. I just never thought I’d ever start taking care of others, but it’s not so different. You, Yuichi...I just try to think of the things I like and it sorta comes easier that way.”
Koto sat next to him on the bed, stealing a piece of fish with an extended claw like a makeshift kabob. She was still herself, after all. “I’m still not ready just yet, Robin, and as far as I can tell, you don’t even have a ring yet for me either. Not that I need one, you know, but I’ve looked into those human customs...But you know...I’m starting to get a little excited about it. I’m starting to feel like I may belong after all.”
Surprised and confused. Those were the only two words to describe how the young man was currently feeling. Seeing Koto reacting in such a giving and caring fashion was unheard of - in fact, Robin half believed that he might still be asleep, and dreaming this whole scenario. To the point that he even reached up and pinched his cheek to see if he could feel anything. A small twinge proving to him that this was - in fact - real.
‘Okay, Robin. There has to be a logical explanation for all of this. So, just go with it, and see what’s going on. She might be doing this to mess with your mind still, with how often you tease her. And, if not, you’ve got to figure out what you think about this whole situation.’
Nodding his head, Robin acknowledged what the Fox had told him, graciously accepting the meal that was so kindly made for him. Though, he didn’t know what to say about the situation currently, there was still a manner of manners that he was to uphold. So, as he prepared to eat the food that was made, the young man looked up at Koto, smiled, and said:
“Thank you, Koto. It looks and smells really good.”
Turning to the food, he used the utensils available to get a few bites, before making any comment on the flavors.
“Hmm… I’ve never had fish in the morning. But, it does go really well with the rice and egg! Who taught you how to make this?” He inquired, before going back to eating at a slightly faster pace.

Munday ask! What's your favorite food?
[[I don’t really have one. i love lots of types of food, from American to KBBQ to Turkish to Indian to anything really. It’s easier to list food types I don’t like: any type of seafood, Mexican, and Ethiopian, but I do enjoy the latter two’s liquors.]]

She sat up a bit as she noticed the hesitation in Robin’s words, as if he were unsure of something. “What’s wrong?” she asked, hovering over him, a hand reaching out to draw the hair away from his face. It would have been a tender, familiar gesture from anyone else.
The fox demoness stared down at him, teal eyes unblinking and waiting for an answer. After a moment, she asked, “...Are you sick? You look a little flushed. Maybe some breakfast and tea would make you feel better.” Resting the back o her hand against his forehead, she came to the conclusion that must be it. “You’re burning up a little...Humans are so much warmer than demons, so it can be hard to tell, but what else could it be?”
Throwing the covers off of herself, she revealed she was still fully clothed. Koto slipped out of bed and into her red boots. “Wait here. I’ll bring you something.”
Strange, doing things that weren’t entirely selfish and without any provocation. Stranger yet was the lighthearted feeling it gave her that she hadn’t experienced before. It was like this with Yuichi too, though he always seemed to be ungrateful and urged her to keep her ‘heart of darkness’. Weird kid...
Within moments, Koto had breakfast ready to the best of her ability. “It may not be familiar to you, but this is what I was more used to seeing humans eat in my world.” Fish, egg, rice...A bit different from porridge or bread, but food was food, right?
And there it was - the proof that something had clearly been misunderstood by either himself, of his Demon friend. Robin’s heart sped up slightly, as he heard the young lady speak his name - his mind trying to figure out just what was going on. Did he misunderstand her new kindness towards him? That would explain a lot, with how his confusion at a few of her actions seemed to make Koto more flustered. However, there was an equally opportune chance that she was simply messing with him - perhaps in revenge for the prank he had pulled on her?
Regardless, there was no hiding that he was awake anymore. She seemed to recognize that he had awoken in not too long after having done so, to begin with. Curse those animal-esque features giving her better hearing!
‘What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?’
There was only two options for the young man, right now. He could either say hello, and play this off calm and collected - or he could let surprise force him into speaking fearfully, possibly hurting the Demoness’ feelings if this wasn’t just a prank.
As such, there was really only one thing he could do.
“Y-yes, Koto?”
Robin’s staggered words mixed with a yawn, as his body forcefully reminded him that he had forgotten to breathe for a good while. Hopefully the young lady would mistake his yawning for his having just woken up, rather than his lessened breathing patterns from over the past few moments.

Seems like your sister has a loose tongue. It would be a shame if she were to find out you've been flirting with humans.
“...Kyu? Why would any of that matter? She flirts with anything that moves. Besides, flirting with humans is perfectly acceptable. Developing feelings for is another story entirely.”

Finally, she touched a nerve. Kyu was still her sister, and Koto could already imagine she’d be pissed if someone insinuated she was an old hag--of course the same line of thinking would affect her older sister. “Yeah, sure~! You can ask all those men to help you cross the street since you’ll be too feeble to do it yourself soon enough. Women who mature so quickly don’t ever age well.”
A pout was soon back on her face though. She wasn’t amused. Hadn’t she run away from home just to get away from these jabs, those reminders she could never live up to the expectations her mother set up for her? “If it’s so easy for you to find a man to pay for you, then why don’t you just share his bed too? Everyone knows that’s your meal ticket. I’m surprised you don’t have an obligation clinging to your leg yet. Aren’t you supposed to be the one following in mother’s footsteps?”
