Update! After many ups and downs with this piece I'm finally at the finish line! I really enjoy seeing how much pigment I get out of my pencils :) Cherri will be available for prints soon! Update :) Rolling a long with Cherri here. As always experimenting with the Color layers. I ended up with a good 4 layers or so in je hair trying to find a nice brown red hue. I think another sit down session and this will be done :) once I get the base colours down it goes pretty quick. Hope everyone is having a nice week! Update! FB friends I would appreciate if would share my work I means a lot to me :) I've been in a huge funk. A lot of things weighing me down and obstacles I had to overcome. This drawing for whatever reason was a reflection of my inner obstacles for i messed it up 3-4 times. After the last time I decided to make it work instead of starting over. Sometimes we can't get away from what's in front of us, and we have to overcome the battles we have within ourselves that keeps us from moving forward. Remember your reasons on why you chose the path you did and be brave to mess up time and again. The mess ups are how we learn and grow as people. I want to share my art process as a way to encourage other artists to not give up weather it's internal or external fight you have. Cherri here was a fun new thing I learned. I wanted to learn to draw curves/shadowing to create more depth on the body. Update! Since my next project needs my new light tablet to start over I decided to take today to start on my next concept Neh-Beela, and her honeycomb star friend. Update! With less than a week to go I finished this monster. The time it takes to do the layering of colour really slows me down but it's so worth the end results! I'm proud of this one! I'll eventually be trying copic markers to possibly but down on the time it takes for me to fill up space in a picture. I'll be posting the step by step pictures next.
