it’s so funny to me how often Roman is portrayed as a popular kid in high school AUs—don’t get me wrong, I get why. he’s outgoing and confident! popular kid x nerd is a fun trope! but also he’s a theater gay and idk about your school but at my school the theater kids were not popular. maybe popular among the nerds. but not like the jocks and cheerleaders.
