Fire Lord Zuko passing a law that forbids challenging anyone under the age of majority to Agni Kai
Fire Lord Zuko waiting until the day he reaches the age of majority to pass this law, lest anyone think he is a coward
(No one. Literally no one would have thought that, but it’s generally regarded as a very classy move regardless)

A soft thought: Raya is def one of those “I’m not leaving until you smile” kind of people (something her Ba would always do when she was little) and says this to Namaari constantly whenever she’s in a mood
that's so cute that her ba would say that to her omg
namaari would be resistant to that and she's like "no raya let me be SAD" and raya's like "nO" and then it becomes a test on who breaks first (spoiler alert it's ALWAYS namaari because ray is PERSISTENT)
like she's sitting on her bed, tired asf, and the embodiment of 😑 and raya comes in like "i think tf not" and it's just
raya: [kisses namaari on the nose]
namaari: >:[
raya: [does it again]
namaari: >:/
ray: [smiles because it's working and does it a third time]
namaari: :/
raya: cmon, dep la, give me a smile! you know you want to
namaari: ...>:[
raya:
raya: so that's how it's gonna be, huh?
namaari: mhm.

Rayaari headcanon - tharrr be a historical Pirate AU
(inspired by a suggestion from a lovely anon)
When Benja passes away after a long illness, Raya finds herself alone and financially unstable in a world that is harsh and cruel to young, single women.
When the debtors come circling her home, she decides to escape and seek work for herself elsewhere. But it is incredibly difficult to find a job, so she ends up disguising herself as a boy and bargaining with a Ship's Captain to work as his cook in exchange for food, lodging and the occasional payment.
The crew is a surly group of men whom she distrusts immensely. When she overhears the types of conversations they have, she is glad they do not know she is actually a woman. They carry out shady business deals at each port they visit, although she is not allowed to know the details, since she is nothing more than their cook.
One day, they are set upon by the dreaded Fang, a ship led by the Pirate Queen Namaari herself. Raya has heard tales of this gang in several port towns, but is still shocked by the brutality she witnesses, as the Pirate Queen orders the men to be lined up and executed one by one.
When they reach Raya, Namaari halts them with a hand gesture, and stares at her face for a long time. 'You are not guilty of their sins; nor are you the person you pretend to be.'
Raya is brought back onboard the Fang instead, and told she will be set free when they make for land again. She's confused as to why she was allowed to live, but one of the crew members tells her that those sailors were actually hired mercenaries, who once carried out a contracted job that resulted in the death of Namaari's mother - their original Queen. After that, those men were destined to die for her revenge, no matter how far they tried to sail.
Raya isn't sure what is expected of her, but the crew tends to leave her alone. After a few days, she gets bored enough to venture into ship's kitchen, where she meets the cook Sisu. Sisu is surprisingly terrible at cooking, despite it being her job, so Raya takes over the role and finds herself actually enjoying it.
Namaari comes into the kitchen later that night, full of questions as to how the food suddenly became so good, and finds herself nose-to-nose with Raya instead. Raya finds her awkward stuttering of thanks vaguely amusing.
Raya seeks her out the next day to return the thanks - for noticing she was different to the rest of the crew and providing her safe passage. Namaari shrugs, seemingly a woman of few words, but allows Raya to talk at her for several hours.
Raya ends up following Namaari around most days. She can't help it - the woman is rather sweet and patient, for such a feared Pirate Queen. Namaari even takes the time to teach her how to spar with a proper sword.
Namaari eventually admits that she planted some of her crew at taverns in different port towns, to sing about a ruthless Pirate Queen and build up her reputation, and then flushes bright red at Raya's peals of laughter from this story.
Two days away from making port and Raya's departure from the ship, they are attacked by Captain Druun, a pirate who has been wishing to conquer Namaari's territory for a long time. He almost succeeds, with several of his men boarding the Fang.
Namaari is injured in a sword-fight against Druun. When Raya sees her fall to the deck, hand covering a wound in her side, she picks up a discarded sword and stabs Druun through the heart.
In the aftermath, Raya helps bandage Namaari up and settles her into the Captain's quarters. 'I'll have to stay at least until you are better,' she tells her.
Raya never actually leaves the Fang, but spends the rest of her days sailing the ocean with her Pirate Queen.

Lauren: Crushes are the worst.
Camila: Yeah. Whenever I’m near someone I have a crush on, I start acting stupid.
Lauren: You’re always acting stupid.
Camila: Yeah, don’t think about that too hard.
