i’m not sure of who i am or of who anyone else is

i can’t tell what friends i can let go of and stay okay, so i give a billion chances, ive only ever ended one friendship, sometimes the person in the mirror is disconnected from me, i hate my body but don’t have the self control to get healthy.

i can’t tell when people are genuine or lying, especially my friends, are you laughing or just faking to keep me from getting upset and shutting down? are you affirming and shutting down my self-deprecative comments and complimenting me genuinely and not to make sure im not going to be sad?

when i sit and think, i hate everything i do and find every joke and every motion cringe, because as sky ferreira once said, everything’s embarrassing. how can i be sure people aren’t making fun of me in their heads — or worse, out loud —, my friend decided to say I looked like a SL*T because my button up didn’t have the buttons on the collar buttoned, and didn’t have an undershirt, it didn’t hurt any but still, WHAT?

When will we ever learn?

The generation of today will go on to say the most cruel and ruthless things like they were born for it. There are people who seem to be like a kind, intriguing person but when you go to talk to them they are ruthless with what they say. Their words like daggers to the stomach. The look in their eye vicious and sadistic. The words that come out of their mouth bring you down for the rest of the day. They take your shame and turn it into pride in their merciless, barbarous hearts. They like the reaction that they get from you. So don't give them a reaction. Do their opinions really care? No. As long as you feel as if your good enough and worthy then that's the truth and that way shall it stay. Will they ever learn the respect and care we used to have? The resilience we have. The impact our kindness can have on people.
