Waktu yang Utama untuk Shalat Isya

Diriwayatkan oleh Aisyah Radhiyallahu ‘anha..

أَعْتَمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ عَامَّةُ اللَّيْلِ وَحَتَّى نَامَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى فَقَالَ :  إِنَّهُ لَوَقْتُهَا لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam mengakhirkan shalat isya’ sampai malam telah berlalu sebagian besarnya dan mereka yang menunggu di masjid sudah tertidur. Kemudian dia mengerjakan shalat dan berkata : “Ini adalah waktunya, jika saja aku tidak memberatkan umatku.” (Muslim, III/345, no. 1009)

Diriwayatkan oleh Abu Hurairah..

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَوْلاَ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرُوا الْعِشَاءَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ نِصْفِهِ Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda : “Jika tidak memberatkan ummatku, maka aku akan memerintahkan mereka untuk mengakhirkan shalat isya’ sampai sepertiga malam atau separuhnya.” (HR Turmudzi dan dia mengatakan : “Hadits ini Hasan Shahih”, Sunan Turmudzi, I/280, 152)

Insya Allah, kedua hadits ini tidak diragukan kebenarannya, karena sangat terpercayanya perawinya. Lho, bukannya udah jelas ya, kalau shalat yang terbaik itu adalah shalat yang dilaksanakan di awal waktu? Tapi hadits-hadits di atas adalah hadits shahih dan hasan shahih. Lantas, mana yang lebih utama? Menunaikan shalat isya’ di awal waktu, atau di akhirkan (sepertiga malam atau separuhnya)?

Imaam Tirmidhi reports that the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said;

“Ten verses have been revealed to me, whoever establishes these will enter Jannah.” Then he read the ten which were the first ten verses of Surah al-Mu’minoon.

(1) قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ - 

"Verily the believers have become successful."

Notice how Allaah uses the word “Qad” which in Arabic re-emphasizes the statement. As for the success mentioned then it is both in this dunya and the hereafter.

(2) الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ -

"Those who have Khushuu’ (devotion) in their prayer."

(3) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ -

"Those who turn away from the Laghw (useless talk)"

(4) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ -

"And those who pay their Zakaah"

(5) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ  

(6) إِلَّا عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ

(7) فَمَنِ ابْتَغَى وَرَاء ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ

"And those who safeguard their private parts except from their wives or what their right hands possess (i.e. slaves) then they are free from blame. But whoever wants more, then they are transgressors."

(8) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ -

"And those who follow up their trusts and promises"

(9) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ -

"And those who safeguard their prayers"

(10) وْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ

(11) الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ -

"Those are indeed the inheritors, those who will inherit al-Firdaws wherein they will be forever"

أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ Those are indeed the inheritors, those who will inherit al-Firdaws wherein they will be forever

How simple are these orders and how far away do we fall?

Awesomely Accessorized Kid’s Room

This room belongs to a lucky little girl named Della whose parents are the creative duo behind the graphic print shop Miniwilla. What I love about kids’ rooms is that they grow with the child and give you an excuse to update, redecorate and experiment—so fun! I like how the room is mainly black and white with pops of color thanks to the prints and accessories. I’ve also seen that motif that’s on the rug used in a wallpaper design and it looks awesome as a wallpaper as well. And how cool is that pastel pink Superwoman print? I want one!
