I just love how Mike Flanagan in a way brought something new to the horror genre. His writings are about things that will genuinely scare you emotionally. For example with Hill House as scary as the ghost were it’s more about the importance of family and how bad losing family can be. Same goes for Bly Manor it’s about love and how painful it can be to lose a loved one. He has an amazing way of delivering these underlying messages and the way that he does it is amazing to me. I’m really excited to see more of his work.

This just speaks volumes for how good of an actor Oliver Jackson-Cohen is

something i wish i had realized earlier: you can write poems on the same subject more than once. you can write, paint, draw the same thing over and over if you want to. you can spend your whole life making art about oranges. i think i always felt this pressure to get it right the first time like i couldn’t go back and use that inspiration again. but you can. you can go back and revisit it. you can pick up the conversation again and again if you have more to say.

As a Christian, this has been one of the saddest things to me. So many Christians I grew up with act like this is a political matter. They refuse to stop gathering in person, they refuse to wear masks/social distance, and they choose to believe propaganda over science. God gave us intelligence to use as a tool, not to be stomped underfoot and pushed aside. USE YOUR BRAINS AND WEAR A DAMN MASK.
