I’m not one to get into politics. Ever since I turned 18 people would always pool the “you have to go vote” and my rebellious self would say “no, I don’t have to do anything” so I just never did. But this election I can firmly say I believe in what Bernie wants for the US. He actually acts like he cares about us as human beings, people with feelings and thoughts of our own. You’ve got the media trying to spin his words into making him out to radical for proposing the things he is and I’m just over here like HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THEY ARE ALREADY DOING THIS IN OTHER COUNTRIES AND ITS WORKING!! Why is everyone so afraid of change that they are willing to have history repeat itself over and over again. If you agree with anything Bernie represents I urge you to look deeper into what he is all about. This man gives me hope that we will once again be a great nation like we were when I was much younger. Let’s put our differences aside and think about what we are doing to the future of this country. This planet.

I don't care who I piss off anymore. I'm having a little happy moment to myself today. LOVE WINS!! Yes I understand that everyone has the right to religious freedom. I admire that she did stand up for her beliefs. But no one is telling her that her beliefs are wrong or that she can't believe what she believes. This about more then the biblical definition of marriage. This is about equal rights for everyone. This is about what our founding fathers wanted for us. The right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And marriage equality is more then just a religious fight. I understand that the Bible defines marriage to be between a man and a woman. But there are benefits that married couples have and get to use that same sex couples could not. Finally the US gets it.

I finally got blocked

I knew it was only a matter of time but I finally managed to get blocked by someone on social media, and to beat it all it was my sister in law.

She made a post about how people need to leave Kim Davis alone about her past because she’s found God now and the past is in the past. This is true. I believe that God does wash away your sins.

But still she is discriminating. That’s when sh*t hit the fan. She proceeded to argue that my logic was wrong and that “The gays” (as she put it) are sending her death threats and being nasty to her. Well when I was little I was told you reap what you sow……

She starts popping off that Kim has not done anything to “the gays” (again as she put it) and is just on edge about the death threats. Well IDK about anyone else but I have received death threats too. Any time you stand up for something you believe in you are bound to get backlash from it. And while I don’t like the fact that people are sending Kim Davis death threats and all, That’s not a very loving thing to do. However the media and everyone else needs to step back and remember that they shouldn’t let the actions of a few make your assumptions for everyone else associated with said group of people.

After going on for a bit she finally said she was done arguing. That’s fine. I wasn’t really arguing but OK. Go to read something else she has posted and discovered I was blocked. I just laughed.

If you can’t handle someone having a different opinion/belief from you to the point that you’re just gonna block them rather then just drop it or agree to disagree doesn’t that kinda mean you’re discriminating against me??

Stick a fork in me

I'm done. I'm sick of reading about the clerks who refuse to issue marriage license. I'm sick of it all. Why does it matter who gets married? Is the fact that 2 same sex ADULTS wanting to get married somehow infringing your life? We get it, the Bible says it's a sin. Yet there's a lot of other sins in the Bible that I haven't seen the first person protest. Wheres the picket lines at tattoo parlors? Sweat shops where clothes are being made from mixed fabrics? What about the meat packing plant where pork is packaged? Or shellfish? The list goes on. Yes I haven't been to church in awhile and no I haven't cracked my Bible open in a bit but you shouldn't have to do those things to treat others with respect. This country was founded on religious freedom. ALL religions, not just Christianity. What makes Christians so much better then everyone else? When I was a kid I remember USA being called the Melting pot and I was amazed that so many different cultures/religions could coexist within the same country. Now all the sudden it’s like Christianity is the only religion that matters. Why? What happened to america? What happened to do unto other as you would have them do unto you? What about you catch more flies with honey not vinegar? How about we try loving thy neighbor out for a change instead of trying to force feed the bible to them.

Back to basics

I've heard so much on the news and from close friends and family about this head lice infestation and how they are apparently immune to the lice shampoo that's available now. It just makes me wonder about all the other pests and illnesses that I too have noticed are resistant to modern methods. What if in all our updates we made them stronger and immune to chemicals? I think it's time we went back to the basics and home remedies. I have a strong feeling that what my grandmother used years ago would work wonders.
