For anyone who doesn't know, I made the original post back when aphobia was at a high on this site. One thing exclusionists like to do is attribute the identities they rally against to whiteness, so they can pretend that their violent harassment towards those identities is a part of social justice. In fandoms spaces, this was also one of the excuses for exclusionists to harass people with aro/ace headcanons, claiming that the characters, if non-white, were being desexualized or sexualized depending on the day.
