Vitamin Sea
The ocean is powerful. It can reset your mood, energize you, cleanse, exercise, and heal. You come out refreshed, salted, with beachy hair, and a happy soul.
Whether it be a quick dip, laps in a salt water pool, or by adding a splash of sea salt to your bath...try to add vitamin "sea" into your weekly health routine.

The Power of Sleep
Sleep is crucial for skin health.
Since we’re currently heading into the winter season, a time of year that beckons us to rest and reflect, let’s start off with talking about much needed SLEEP. We’ve all heard time and time again about how important getting enough quality sleep is for our overall health and vitality, but did you know that sleep is also a crucial time for skin repair?
As we sleep, blood flow to our skin increases and rejuvenation occurs at a much higher rate than when we’re awake. Melatonin and HGH (Human Growth Hormone) levels also increase dramatically during this time, and each have their own unique role in repairing skin damage, taming inflammation and escorting toxins out via sweat and our lymph system.
Optimal Sleeping Conditions
Work on developing a sleep schedule where it’s lights out by 10 or 11pm at the latest (we know how hard this can be, but it’s SO worth it!), and try to get between 7-9 hours of sleep per night, though you may need more or less depending on factors like your age and your activity levels throughout the day. It’s best to sleep in a very dark (to maximize melatonin production), slightly cool room.
When you get enough zzz’s on a regular basis, you’ll find that you wake up with a much more refreshed and even skin tone than you went to bed with. #winning!
