Artist Statement
The reason I take photographs is because its either something interesting that i ran into or because it is a moment that I want to remember for years to come. The connection I have with my photographs that I took is that I love watching and playing sports. There are multiple categories of things that I like to photograph. For example if i go to a sporting event i try to capture different views and also some of the history that venue has to offer. Other things that I enjoy photographing are sunsets. I also enjoy photographing interesting things that I see if I go away. There are multiple places I like taking photographs. Some places include Yankee stadium ,the campus and also by the water. The way I i see a camera and the way I take photographs has changed over time. The way that this has changed is that I learned that some photographs look better in color and others look better in black and white. In these images I wanted to show the different things I’ve seen when I have visited Yankee stadium and I also want to show that going to campus isn't always a bad thing. Over the years I have attended a bunch of yankee games, some of those resulted in wins and others resulted in losses. I usually attend games at the stadium with my family. Some experiences that I remember are how much fun it is when the crowd has lots of energy. Another memory I have is recording a playoff grand slam in real time. Another experience I remember is visiting monument park at Yankee stadium. This was a super cool experience especially since the Yankees are such a historic franchise. This was also a cool experience because some of the Yankees greatest players are recognized there. The pictures of the different places at csi are special because they are showing viewers the different sports I enjoy taking part in. Returning in person means a lot to me because while i go to campus for different courses I can learn new things about our campus. Returning in person also means that I can build new relationships that may help me in my rollercoaster ride that is life. Going in person for classes is probably one of the best things i did while i have been at csi. Without going in person I probably wouldn't know about some of the fun activities that csi offers.

My documentary/narrative project is titled sports at csi. The reason I chose this was because my first 2 years of college were fully online and so I never got to experience some of the amenities the campus has. Through this shooting assignment I learned that sometimes going to campus isn’t a bad thing
