krait’s main purpose is simple: receive orders, and carry them out. that's how it has always been since her recruitment, and that's how it shall always be. the specifics of her orders and the morality—or lack thereof—of those demands are ultimately irrelevant. what matters is success, and the approval that comes with it.

maybe, to some, the burden of their actions weighs heavy on them. at first glance, it certainly appears to affect pedrolino that way. what a strange thing to see from a harbinger. it seems as though he finds their work far less thrilling. taxing, even. that view is completely unrelatable, but perhaps that's due to their differences in position. what would an agent know of the woes of a harbinger? does “father” feel the same way? do the others?
