this is kinda personal big sister advice but seeing minors post about older men makes me so uneasy and once you get older you will understand that this older man who gave you attention and compliments was disgusting and not dreamy, they’re not sexy and mature, they’re bored of their wives and their sad little lives and treat young girls like new shiny toys, the second you hit a certain age they’ll get bored and move onto someone younger, men rarely ever truly mature

please don’t romanticize these relationships because you like a song or a book or a movie and you’re easily influenced, it’s not only about minors but all young girls even in their twenties

i once ended up on a date with a guy i met online, i was 21 and he said he was 30 and when i met him he turned out to be 46 and took me to a hotel room and i almost threw up it was horrible and stressful and in that moment i felt like a helpless child because i truly felt the power imbalance

if you’re not a minor and still prefer these kinds of relationships i’m not bashing you or judging or anything, i just want you to think this through and be safe

i’ve been groomed by old creeps online since i was like 14, i’ve been groped in public but older men, even family members, and even now i look younger than my age and older men openly stare at me on a bus or in a store and it doesn’t feel like a compliment, because of all these experiences i never feel safe anywhere anymore
