Today's adventure was through the Mt Woodson trail in Poway, San Diego. My older sister, C, and her two dogs and I trudged 2.9 miles up the steep incline to the infamous Potato Chip rock. After getting a panoramic view of San Diego, we bounded down the very same 2.9 rocky terrain. What a challenging yet enjoyable hike.

Hi guys,
As you can see, I've posted the link for my Yosemite pictures. I really enjoyed that park and can't wait to go back.

Wow, I remember I was setting up this sub-blog, and thinking about the first post in relation to Yosemite. Now that trip is over.
We camped in Upper Pines campground. It was a pleasant stay with great hiking trails. Our campsite was next to the restrooms. During peak season, it would’ve ruined the trip. But luckily it wasn’t crowded and was peaceful instead.
I really got to test my new Salomon Synapse hiking shoes. I did a no-no by not wearing them in before the big hikes. But they wore in after the first day and they didn’t hurt on the second day. The first day was an easy hike (Snow Creek trail) through meadows and on dirt paths. The second hike was the real test. The Upper Yosemite Falls hike was steep and the terrain was rocky. It was good because the terrain molded my shoes and broke them in the right places. I was wearing thicker socks than I normally would which made me a little uncomfortable at times, just because my feet were getting hot due to the material. I know now to always wear my synthetic store brand athletic socks. I like them so much that I’m going hiking again on Thursday!
I also bought some new Keens Whisper. I really enjoyed wearing these around the campfire and as soon as it gets a little warmer, I’ll be able to take them out on a hike. Review to come later.
During this trip, I also got to test the REI camp tableware set. They did a nice job, but because of the cold, the grease really clung to the plates. I loved using the cups though and had no problem transitioning from hot coco to orange juice to coconut water.
Overall, great buys at REI. :) I can’t wait to go camping this time. Hopefully at Joshua Tree! I aim to get a sleeping bag, head lamps, and a chair by then.
Peace and love, K

Here we go again...
For those who don't know me, I go through phases of writing. For a few months, I'll write intensively - on pseudonym blogs, in the many journals I have in my room, on sheets of paper shoved and forgotten in textbooks. Then my writings and posts will occur less frequently. Maybe once in a while, I'll like a post. Finally, I'll disappear off the face of the earth. And then the cycle starts again. Let's see how this one fares now that I have a web-friendly phone and wi-fi access for most of the time.
Hello, I'm Krystal. Even though I live in sun-blessed Orange County, my thoughts are always far away in another place. As you can already tell, I am a Francophile. I'd like to live there someday. That day might be soon...
So what brought me back to this blog was my passion for traveling. It could be on the other side of the planet, or it could be five hours away from here. I've (sporadically) written about my travels last summer (krystalenirlande), and I'd like to continue my travel journal. That previous blog was specifically for Ireland, so naturally I'd have to create a new one. Thus...erresavecmoi was born. Erres (infinitive = errer) means to wander i.e. wander with me.
I've done a lot of reflecting the past couple months, and I've come to realize and be grateful for the many things and places I've seen in my life thus far. There are a handful of people to whom I am eternally grateful.
So my next trip will be to Yosemite National Park. I'm really looking forward to this trip and what better way to kick off Spring Break right? The temperatures have dropped since last weekend, so it will be nippy while camping! I've some new camping gear and can't wait to share them.
Bisous,
K
