Meta Post
I feel I didn't put as much effort into this blog as I would have liked to, with time slipping away I put it aside and let the workload grow. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed making this blog as it has given me incentive to travel, and look deeper into what I actually want.
I connected well with audiences, with my posts getting quite a few notes on them each time, I also connected Twitter to my account in order to give readers a more personal look into my life.

India. The cultures, food, colours, spices, people, religions. They all fascinate me. To go see the Hindu temples, the beautiful outfits of the women, the music, smell the smells and taste the spices is my dream.

Ularu.
Ularu- so serene. There is a photo in my house of my parents on top of Ayers Rock, my entire family has visited this majestic place except me. I want to see this giant red rock and the landscape that surrounds it so as to create my own memories revolving around the place. Although you can no longer climb the rock itself, just witnessing it's beauty would be enough for me.

The Maldives.
In horizon of the vast Indian Ocean grow green palms
This is my homeland, this is the Maldives
From the clear blue seas, we grow like pearls,
This is my homeland, this is the Maldives
(Dheebu Dhivehi Mee, Old Maldivian Folk song)
The Maldives were known in ancient times to welcome lost travelers now the Maldives are home to beautiful marine and wildlife and crystal clear waters. A major tourist destination, it is definitely on my list of places to visit!

Lyon, France.
My cousin has told me stories of her home town Lyon. The "second capital" of France. The beauty she paints with her words makes me crave the busyness of the city with the beauty of the original architecture and landscapes. France as a country in general would be amazing to explore properly, but specifically I wish to visit Lyon.

Fiji...
Going to Fiji would be like escaping to paradise. The pristine waters and white sand, the friendly locals but also the tourist attractions across the islands is almost irresistible. Going to Fiji has always been one of my life dreams..To snorkel with the fish and explore the rain forests would just be amazing!
Peace Out

Turkey
Since I was a kid, my dad has told me stories about the places he has visited, always listening on in complete awe at the places he had been and the people he had encountered on his many journeys, my sisters and I would dream of the places we could go. Among the many places he had visited was Turkey, he would tell me stories about the cats that roam the streets as if they were people, the apricots drying on the sides of the roads, the smells, sensations, the genuine happiness the people showed. The magic and pure joy these stories brought me, made me vow that one day, I too would visit not only Turkey, but all of the other places that he would tell us while we sat on his lap.
Everywhere in Turkey appeals to me, one day I want to visit Istanbul, Galipoli, The Fairy Chimneys in Cappadocia, the Mountains. I want to see the culture with my own eyes, smell the smells, meet the people.
Peace Out,
Emily xoxo

Places I want to Visit- Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu has always been high up on my list of places to visit, the sacred atmosphere that I have seen in films and images, along with the eerie myths and legends surrounding the 15th century Inca site is something that both interests and excites me. The city is associated with Incas, and is one of the most famous landmarks in the world.
History aside, it is located 250m above sea level, with astonishing views and quite a hike to get to the village itself!

Travel, Shmavel
Travel Blog.
Travel Blog.
Tra-vel Blog.
Why? Why on earth, when I have the choice of writing about ANYTHING, did I decide to write about travel, and where I want to go?
Simple, at least that's what I keep saying. I always tell my friends, 'Lets go to Fiji, or Amsterdam, or anywhere other than Canberra..', I probably tell them this so much that the list is just starting to get longer, and longer and longer. So, when this assignment came up for Uni, I figured what better use of my time.. or assessment... than to write about something I have thought about countless times.
I have been overseas, but I'd love to visit the rest of the world.. without my parents, and just have a great time.
So far I have visited England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei... But that's no where near enough, I want to go everywhere, America, South Africa, Africa... the list goes on..
So, for the next 14 or so weeks, you, my probably only reader, will see what it is that I crave about different places...
Peace out. xx
