That’s intense. I would have just turned the phone off - or, rather, smashed it into a wall.

They wanted to speak to Tony and called me 18 times before I had coffee.

How did you get to do that?

She rolled her eyes, still laughing at him. There  was a moment when she might have thought to be upset about his rejection of her, but really, getting him to just sit with her  was a miracle in herself.

                       "Chill out, Scary Spice,                          worst comes to worst                          I'll go pinch the sofa                          with Thor. He wouldn't                          turn me away in my                          hour of drunken need."

Darcy tilted the glass back to her lips and smiled when she felt the liquid burn down the back of her throat.

         "At least I have good taste in booze."

     He shook  his  head,   the      glasses  clinking  against      the bottle of liquor.    Loki      carried it over beside her,      placing   it   down  on  his                          bedside table.

     ❝ I’m not sharing my bed. ❞

Opening the top,   he poured reasonable amounts in each glass. He took one up, shook              his head once, again    ❝ I don’t jest, ❞                 then took a sip.

"I would always like to hear compliments. Not enough people are complimenting me right now."

"I could think of a few more, if you wanted to hear them."

"I told them that last month."

"Just tell them I died and can no longer offer my constituency to their voting numbers and I’m sure they’ll stop."

"Since when have you been a gentleman?"

"They’re definitely the best pair I’ve ever seen. But maybe its a little much if you knew how much I think about them, ya know? Gotta stay a gentleman."

I'm making them change the rules. I got to yell at a senator the other week.

And here I thought I just needed to stay out of the government business because I’m a threat to the security.

"That's about the best compliment you could give me."

She rolled her eyes. Apparently the Norse God of Mischief didn't know how to respond to her jokes yet. Darcy had thought that by now he would have at least got a little bit  used to the way she acted. There were plenty of  people in the tower that she would rather stay with if it came to her getting overly drunk.

                         "Didn't you hear? We're                           going to be cuddly sleepers."

After taking the bottle  from the

fridge and  reaching up to grab  two glasses, he turned, making                             a bit of a face.

      ❝ Here? ❞         as in his room  ❝ I would prefer it if you      don’t find yourself to be that drunk. ❞

           He doesn’t actually  want her to stay that long.            Granted it may not be the space he wants, for            he’d rather be home on Asgard, but it was still            his, sort of. She might end up crashing on his            bed and he was always protective over it. His                                                                  bed, not hers.
