The Sun Rises over Ankhor Wat, Cambodia.
It’s mystical and magical. We burned incense and fought off mosquitos, sharing the silence with firgures in the shadows. As the light changed the shadows became other people, and the glory of this ancient city was revealed.

Life at Ankhor is not in ruins
There are still families living here; kids go to school while parents tend to homes, animals, and sell to tourists.

It took 3 days to explore this beautiful UNESCO site. I would recommend everyone to visit Ankhor. Start the day early, and go your own way by exploring on bike.  This way you can avoid all the tour buses and find some quiet, hidden places.
