Joy is pregnant with #3

Funny thing Joy's announcement made me think of:

-She and I are about a month apart in age

-We got married a week apart from each other

-We both had sons in 2018

-We both had daughters in 2020

- I'm expecting baby #3 in December, so it only makes sense she'd be expecting #3 soon

Pecan #6 name predictions (David and Priscilla Waller)

I am aware the sex of the baby has now been announced (it's a girl) but I wrote and scheduled this post for tomorrow before this happened. There's no point in waiting until tomorrow now so here's the post.

I received this ask as I was starting these name predictions for Pecan.

I am confident that David and Priscilla are doing a P for boys, D for girls theme. They have used two separate forms of David; for Peter's middle name and the female version, Davia. If they were using P and D alternately then why not save the name for a later boy if you wanted to use it? Surely two babies in a row of the same sex will come along at some point. Naming the girls with names beginning with the first letter of Dad's name and boys with the first letter of Mom's name is very popular with fundies. I will include suggestions for both letters for both boys and girls just in case though.

Anyway, I think Pecan #6 is a girl. I want to see how long this boy-girl-boy-girl streak continues

Thus far, the Wallers have used very Biblical names for their sons, usually with an equally Biblical middle name (with the exception of William). I'm just shocked that it took them so long to use David as a middle name. The girls' names don't seem to be as obviously Biblical and there isn't much to go on with the middle names. Maybe they will use Rebecca or Christine in memory of David's late sister. Alternatively they may choose to continue with the virtue theme or use Priscilla as both of David's names have been used as middle names for the Waller-Keller offspring.

Seewald #4 Baby Boy Name predictions

If anyone is going to break the long chain of 9 GrandDuggar baby girls, it will be the Seewalds. I think Seewald #4 is a boy. It can be quite difficult to predict Seewald names I think because it could literally be ANYTHING so I've had to go back through Ben and Jessa's social media history for some inspiration.

I'm going to wait for a few weeks before predicting date of birth in the hope of getting more info, but in the meantime I think a Seewald boy will weight 9lb 1oz and measure 20.5 inches.

First Name

Lessons have been learnt since Spurgeon and I doubt we will get such a ridiculous first name again. I think Jessa and Ben will give a son a more common first name. I've always thought Peter Seewald has a nice ring to it, plus I don't think it would be too far fetched for them to begin to use Biblical names. I've been through Jessa and Ben's social media to try and find particular people they reference or seem to be/have been inspired by.

Having used the names of several British people for her childrens' names, maybe Jessa is a closet royalist and we'll get a Philip as tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh. He did dedicate the majority of his life to service and was a faithful Christian, as his funeral service reflected.

Middle Name

I'm confident Jessa and Ben continuing to use the surnames of Christian heroes/preachers for their children's' middle names; Charles Spurgeon, Matthew Henry, I noticed from their previous name choices that they seem to favour British Christian heroes. Maybe they will branch out and use the names of explorers; Livingstone, after the explorer and missionary David Livingstone, would be a strong choice. In the past they've named their children after missionaries, politicians, philanthropists and preachers. I can see them potentially using the name Arnold after Ellen Arnold, the longest serving Australian missionary but I'm unsure if they would name a baby boy after a woman so maybe they would use Ellen for a girl.
