Week 2 - April 9th, 2023 'Welcome Home' - Radical Face Spotify / YouTube
What I always liked most about Easter as a kid was how the light would filter through the curtains. I’d wake up early for Easter egg hunting (I have four siblings, competition was tight) and my small hands would swoosh through the dust caught in the early morning light beams formed before the curtains were opened. Then everything would just flood with new spring light.
I don’t quite know why it always felt so special, but I wanted to capture a bit of that light here. Whatever inspired little me to try and catch the light, innocent in the simplicity of a morning with a warm drink and a good book.
Enjoy!

Started out as a kiss.
Pairing: Iden Versio × Fem! Reader.
Summary: You have to go undercover with the Empire's greatest Special Forces Agent, that ends up with feelings.
Warnings: Swearing. Light smut. Fingering. Bloody knuckles. MINORS DNI 18+
Wordcount: 1.9k
A/N: Genuinely, if you have a problem with this fic being LGTBQ+ related, then just leave. I'm not interested in anyone who has a problem.
Black dress = reader... Red suit= Iden.
Iden hated formal gatherings, especially ones that were undercover. But this one was different from the others.
Admiral Versio, Idens father. Informed her and the rest of inferno squad, that she wouldn't be attending with members of her squad. But with one of the most recent additions to the Imperial Special Forces.
You were apart of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, and for your age you were incredibly good at what you do. But not as good as Iden Versio. You knew who she was. You knew how amazing she was, and maybe hearing of the abilities she holds you weren't jealous. But you felt something, that was really accepted in the Empire. It was a silly little thing really.
Iden had read your file, and she was rather impressed. It seemed like you followed in similar footsteps to her, just without a father like hers. You were good in hand to hand combat and, you were exceptionally good at flying and shooting from long distances.
Walking into the briefing room, you held yourself with a militaristic posture. Iden followed suit, and her uniform was flawless. She was flawless. Not a single fleck of lint. Not a single hair out of place. Her boots, her helmet and her chest armour perfectly shiny and polished.
After the briefing, Iden pulled you aside.
"Are you 100% sure you want to do this Y/L/N? If not then we can find a replacement." Versio spoke,
"It's completely fine Commander. I'm actually looking forward to working with you." You spoke, giving a polite smile.
You were dying inside, and you were glad she wasn't a mind reader. To you she was pretty, even in the slick black Imperial uniform.
As you walked out of the briefing room, to give yourself a chance to go over the reports for the mission.
Gideon walked along Iden, as she went in the opposite direction.
"You know, I think our new little pilot has a crush on you Iden." Gideon spoke side glancing Iden,
"As if. She's just young girl, and she's done rather well." Iden rolled her eyes.
"Your being blind Iden. You obviously didn't see her staring at you for almost the entire brief." Gideon claimed as he looked straight ahead walking into the mess,
"Just leave her be Gideon. Its one mission and that's it." Iden remarked grabbing some food as she thought over the mission.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
A week later you walked out of your quarters in a black dress short at the front and flowing long at the back. As you walked through the hall you had to steady yourself a few times, not use to wearing heels for anything.
Walking into the meeting room you saw Iden talking to Del. The man with all the tech.
Iden out of uniform looked completely different. Wearing a dark crimson suit and black ankle boots suitable for combat incase its needed.
"I feel overdressed." You commented doing a twirl in the dress,
"You're looking good Y/L/N, don't stress about anything." Del spoke not looking up from what he was fiddling with something small.
"Thanks Del. Far more use to wearing uniform." You spoke up running your hands over your dress,
"You're not the only one Y/L/N." Iden spoke walking into the room in a red suit.
"That's a nice suit commander, looks smart." You commented giving her a small smile, she nodded back.
There was a few last minute touch ups, and then it was time to leave. You and Iden stepped onto the ship, and sat in the cockpit doing the last checks before you lifted off and went to hyperspace.
"You ready for this?" Iden asked quietly,
"As ready as I can be." You replied staring at the stars as they go past you.
It took just under an hour to get to the destination, and then the two of you were officially at the formal event. The past week yourself and Iden had come up with a cover story, the two of you were to act as a couple and walk in together holding hands. It wasn’t made too obvious that you were meant to be a couple, but there were a few questionable looks thrown your way.
“Do you want a drink?” You asked Iden softly just watching the surroundings,
“Sure. I’ll watch around the room, just to make sure we can find our man.” Iden replied giving a slight nod.
Walking up to the bar, you ordered two soft drinks this was only because you were both still on a mission. Technically you weren’t meant to be drinking, but it was to blend in with those around you. Just as the bar tender was pouring the drinks, a large man with multiple body alterations slid up next to you and started chatting.
“Now why’s there a pretty little lady getting drinks all by herself? Let me get one for you.” He spoke heavily slurred, this guy must have had already been drinking.
“No thank you. I’ve already gotten one for myself and my partner.” You responded not talking directly to him,
“Iden, you might have to step in. Y/L/N is having quite a bit of an awkward interaction.” Del spoke over the ear piece in Idens ear. Turning to your direction, she saw your form which was dwarfed by this huge guy next to you.
“Oh come on little lady, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me having you to myself.” The large guy slurred again as the bar tender passed you the drinks,
“Who said it was a guy?” You responded looking directly at him and then walked straight back to Iden. She saw how pissed you were, but also how pissed he was and looked like he was about to go after you.
"Damn." You heard over the ear piece.
“Kiss me.” Iden stated quietly,
“What?” You responded almost shocked. Although you didn’t have much chance to talk as you heard the man coming over, Del and Gideon didn’t have much say either. Iden tipped your chin up slightly with her finger and kissed you. It was enough to convince the guy to back off.
“Thanks honey.” Iden spoke loud enough making sure that the man went away. You kept your eyes on her, making sure that you let her know it was fine but your cheeks were a bright red.
“You okay?” Iden asked quietly,
“I’m fine, thank you.” You responded. The last thing you expected was for Iden to wrap her arm around you waist. It took a few good minutes of looking for you to find the person you was looking for. Vettriano. He had been stealing art for the last few years, but in the last few months his allegiance had strayed far from the Empire. Walking to his general direction, Iden had her eyes on Vettriano and you the general surroundings. One thing you noticed was there were other species who seemed armed moving quickly to him.
“Iden we need to move now, Del there are suspected hostiles with weapons.” You spoke taking your heels off and nodding to Iden. She broke off from you going for one set of hostiles and you to the other. As you ran and tackled two of the men, you felt your knuckles split as you punched them. What you didn’t expect though was for a loud bang created by an explosion, both you and Iden were sent flying but you got the brunt of it.
Standing up slightly dazed you looked around the room to find her doing the same. Running over to you, she grabbed your hand and the two of you started running back to the village that’s nearby. Walking back into your room, you sat on the bed as Iden spoke to Del and Gideon telling them you’d both be back in the morning and said bye for the night. Iden walked over to you seemingly in shock over the events that just occurred.
“Are you okay Y/N?” She asked kneeling in front of you,
“Yeah... I’m good” You responded not telling the truth fully. You had been in fights before and it was normal for you, but the one thing that played on your mind was the kiss. One thing you had not realised though was how filthy you were from the explosion and that your knuckles were bleeding.
“Come on. Let’s get you cleaned up.” Iden spoke, helping you stand up and unzipped your dress for you leading you to the refresher,
“Iden?” You spoke before she left the room.
“Yeah?” she responded peeking her head through the door,
“I... I know that kiss was to stop that guy from coming after me. But did it mean anything to you?” You asked quietly almost too quiet. Idens eyes softly and she thought over the comment Gideon made the week prior. Walking back into refresher, she held your hand softly and looked down for a moment.
“It did. I just didn’t want to get your hopes up.” Iden responded and you kissed her again but with more confidence, thankfully she kissed back and started stripping. Though the refresher shower was small, it still managed to fit the two of you. Iden pushed you gently against the wall being mindful of the impact you took from the explosion earlier.
“Let. Me. Know. If. I. Hurt. You.” Iden spoke between feverish kisses,
“You won’t.” Was all that was said. Iden ran her hands down your body, noting the softness of your skin with the occasional scar here and there. Her hand ran gently over your breast and down to your core, which was growing slicker by the second. It had been a while since you had been touched like this and it felt heavenly. Slowly, Iden slipped a finger in and then the next picking up the speed, your core felt that it had been lit up and a deep moan left your body as your head fell back. It didn’t take long for you to squirm, the coil getting too much for you as you gripped at Idens forearm.
“Are you going to finish for me?” Iden questioned with her eyes filled with lust,
“Y-yes commander.” You moaned as you fell apart in Idens arms. She held you up and let you recover, you hiding your face in the crook of her neck.
“How do you feel?” Iden asked softly still holding you up,
“Better. Is there anything I can do for you?” You responded still hiding your face. Iden ran her hand down your back and heard you hiss as, a large bruise on your back started to appear.
“Why don’t we patch you up and we’ll do something another day okay?” Iden responded and you gave her a slightly questionable look,
“You’re hurt Y/N I don’t want to push you to do anything. Let me just look after you.” She continued making sure that all the dirt that was on your body and in your hair was now washed out.
“Okay.” You responded quietly as you done the same washing process to her. Getting out of the cramped refresher, Iden dried you both off and sat you down on the bed. Grabbing the first aid kit, she got out some bacta gel to relieve any pains you might have. Rubbing the gel over your split knuckles you hissed again the alcohol element making it sting.
“You’re doing well darling.” Iden assured you, a soft kiss placed on your forehead.
It only started out as a kiss. And now here you are sitting with Iden reassuring you whilst helping you clean up. She helped you lay down and you placed your head against her shoulder.
“I didn’t fuck up did I?” You asked not specifying what you were thinking about,
“No. You done well today, don’t let Hask get under your skin okay?” Iden responded, she felt you nod and slowly felt your body relax as best as it could.
Only started out as a kiss and now you’re both in bed together.

Hi! Could you do Cassian with steam from the domestic intimacy list? Bonus points if reader is chronically ill/has chronic pain. Congrats on 5K! <3
Thank you so much! 💜
+++++++++
Cassian steps into your quarters, looking around only to find the room empty of your presence and silent. The only sound he can make out is the sound of the fresher hissing behind the closed door, and Cassian sighs. He knows it’s been a rough day for you, he could see the look on your face during training even though you weren’t engaged in any sort of physical activity just yet. No matter how much you tried to hide the fact that you were in pain, Cassian could see right through you.
He sighs, before discarding his holster and jacket, setting them on the dresser before he walks in. Steam flurries around him, and he knows that you have the water on the highest setting– using the heat to try and soothe the sharp pain that is probably shooting along your entire body right now. He sees your shadow through the glass of the fresher, and steps forward.
“Sweetheart?” He calls out, seeing your shadow move slightly.
“Hey, Cass… I’ll just… I’ll be out in a minute.”
He hears the exhaustion in your voice trying to mask the pain. He begins to strip out of his clothes, and slides the door open to see you standing under the blistering hot water, your arms wrapped around yourself as you press your forehead to the wall.
Cassian steps inside, ignoring the stinging burn of the water as he takes you in his arms. He presses a soft kiss to your temple.
“Is the water helping?” He asks softly as you lean into his touch.
“A little,” you whisper. “I just want it to stop.”
“I know. I wish I could take it all away from you.”
You stay quiet, only looking up at him, a soft look in your eyes. Cassian could stare into your eyes every moment for the rest of his life, if he ever gets so lucky to do so.
“Let me wash you,” he reaches for soap and a washcloth, as he turns you around. “Then we can go rest. How does that sound?”
“Okay…”
He kisses the top of your head, before gently lathering the soap along your body. This was really all you needed– feeling Cassian with you, just the two of you.

Take it easy.
Pairing: General Hux X Flight commander! Reader.
Summary: After a bad fight between your tie fighter squadron and Damerons X-Wing squadron. It may warrant you being permanently grounded.
Warnings: Mentions of amputation. Blood. Swearing. Mentions of medical procedures. Throwing up.
Wordcount: 2.4k
Pic not mine.
You were fast. Your motto "stay low. Go fast. Kill first. Die last." It usually worked. You usually didn't mess up.
But on this day, Damerons X-Wing squadron was just too good. Your tie fighter had been hit, and you were heading towards the Finalizer. You hadn't felt this much fear in a long time.
"Commander Y/L/N to control. Mayday. Mayday. Mayday." You spoke calmly over the radio,
Hux looked out of the window on the bridge, and saw as the smoking special forces tie fighter came towards the hanger.
Though it was a controlled crash, he still felt the whole ship shake.
Within the hanger, smoke was bellowing from your tie fighter as fire was being put out. Inside the cockpit, you weren't even conscious the impact caused you to be knocked out. Metal was crushed against your leg, there was no way you could've gotten out if you were awake.
Hux ran down to the hanger, and watched as engineers and medics dragged you out limp. Your leg was completely disformed, pulling off your helmet gently blood was trickling down the side of your head.
"are they alive?" Hux asked quickly,
"Yes, but sir you need to move out the way so we can help them." A medic spoke back pushing past Hux. Rushing you too the infirmary, the doctors started to operate on you.
Your leg was impossible to fix, the next option for you was amputation. As you laid on the operating table, Hux was pacing up and down the corridor. After over an hour, Hux was finally able to see you. Walking in a doctor joined his side.
"We had to amputate the leg sir. Their leg would've been almost impossible to save. Commander Y/L/N, has been in the bacta to help start the healing process. Once they are ready, we can have one of the engineers design a prosthetic for the commander." The doctor spoke as he observed the General sitting next to you.
Hux nodded and dismissed the doctor from the room. He looked over your disheveled body, you looked tired and pale. He thought to himself that, you had probably lost more blood than he had initially realised.
Many hours later, you had started to come too. But it all came back to you too quickly. Gasping awake, you found yourself in an entirely different setting.
"F-fuck. No! No." You screamed sitting up, though your body telling you not too. Hux jumped out of his chair, rushing too your side.
"hey, hey Y/N it's Hux. You're safe, take it easy darling." Hux spoke softly but holding your shoulder firmly. It took you a few moments to finally calm down.
Looking away, you try to calm yourself. He took your hands gently into his, and prepared himself for what he was about to say.
"Y/N I need you to listen to me, you done a controlled crash but you didn't come away fully unscaved." He started running his thumb over your knuckles,
"After you crashed the mechanics and medics did everything to help you, however they couldn't help all of you. The doctors had to operate on your leg in order to save you. And to do that, he had to amputate it from the knee down." Hux explained quietly holding your hand.
"w-what?" You questioned not believing what he was saying.
"Darling. You lost your leg in the crash." He whispered looking away to hide his vulnerability.
"o-oh." You whispered lifting your head up from the pillow,
Realising that your left hand was bandaged up, the one thing Armitage failed to mention. You grabbed the corner of the blanket and flinged it to the side.
"Y/N I don't think you should see that right now." Hux spoke going to grab the blanket but it was too late.
Your head was spinning. The lights in room were painfully bright. The smell of the medical bay room was artificial almost inhuman.
The knot in your throat began to grow, the taste of bile was in your mouth. Looking around frantically, you pointed at a sick bowl that was in the corner of the room.
Hux ran and got it for you, as soon as you got it you started throwing up. Most of it though was dry heaving, which made your body want to give up. Tears were bought to your eyes due to the pain.
As you finished throwing up, Hux took the bowl away and sat carefully on the bed next to you as you sobbed.
"E-everything hurts." You cried as Hux held you gently,
"I know baby, I know. We'll get the medics to give you some pain meds." He kissed the top of your head.
A few minutes later after you had somewhat calmed down, one of the medics had come into the room.
"These pain meds will make you drowsy, so I would suggest commander that you lay down. If it's not too painful lay on your side just incase you need to throw up again." The medic spoke as they injected the pain meds into your IV.
Hux and the medic helped you lay down, placing a pillow under your stump so that you could be somewhat comfortable for the night.
"Don't leave me. Please Armi." You mumbled,
"I won't. I promise." Hux promised kissing your hand softly.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Time Skip: 3 Weeks.
It had been 3 weeks. 3 weeks since you crashed. And 3 weeks since you had your leg amputated.
You were tired. The first week you were in immense pain day in day out. The second week, the pain was dull. The third week was still dull, but now you were fidgety. You hadn't been flying for 3 weeks going on four.
Discharged from the medical bay, you had spent days on crutches and days sleeping. Throughout these days a couple of engineers has come to you, to get measurements for your prosthetic leg.
You sat on the bridge with Hux. Despite Ren making an off handed remark, you stood your ground even with crutches.
You watched silently as tie fighters, looking slightly battered and bruised came back from an excursion.
"You okay commander?" Hux asked standing next to you, having to use formalities on the bridge.
"Just wish I was flying again sir. I miss it." You spoke looking out into space. Leaning down he whispered in your ear.
"Come with me to the med bay." Hux spoke softly to you so no one else could hear.
You made your way both slowly down to the med bay. It wasn't exactly easy to walk what seemed miles on a ship on crutches.
Sitting down on one of the medical beds. You looked around silently, remembering the information that Hux told you 3 weeks ago whilst laying in one of the beds.
"Good morning commander Y/N. I have something for you." The head medic spoke, showing you the prosthetic leg that the engineers made.
Helping you put it on, you sat with it on for a while. It was weird. You hadn't walked properly for 3 weeks. All you had was a stump. Hux comm went of and answered.
"I'll be back in a while." He spoke giving you a wink,
"Commander, would you like to try stand up?" The medic asked,
You nodded, and she held your arms helping you to stand. You whimpered slightly as weight was put onto your stump.
"You alright?" The medic asked,
"Yeah, it just feels weird." You responded taking a few deep breaths.
"In what way?" She spoke helping you take a few steps,
"Go slow. Please. It just feels weird, I haven't had a leg for the last three weeks." You spoke looking down at your feet. Walking a few steps, it took you a while to get use the leg. But you'll get there.
The medic passed the crutches to you, to help aid you in learning how to walk again. You done a few laps of the room, and when you felt comfortable enough you and the medic slowly headed to the bridge.
"How's it feeling now?" The medic asked,
"Better than it was. It feels a little dull still, but no where near how it was." You spoke as the two of you made your way down the extensive corridors.
Entering the bridge, you saw the mayhem that was now going on. Hux was looking a little red in the face, he'd probably been shouting. Well that was until he saw you.
"Commander shouldn't you be in med bay?" He spoke quickly his eyes flicking to the window where X-Wings and Tie Fighters contended with each other.
"Yes I should be. But it seems like our squadrons aren't doing too well at the moment General." You responded going to the window. You may have lost a leg three weeks ago but that doesn't matter to you right now.
"Has my fighter been fixed or is there a spare I can use?" You asked turning to Hux,
"Are you serious right now?" His voice rose slightly.
"Commander let me remind you, you was in a crash 3 weeks ago and you've just today had a prosthetic fitted. What makes you think you're ready?" He continued you pulling you aside gently.
"Darling, I know you care for me and worried. But you know right now that you need me flying." You whispered to him to make sure no one was listening.
"Fine. Come with me." He relented taking you down to the hanger,
Walking into the hanger, you could see the burn marks from your tie fighter on the wall. To say the least the clean up was quite good after, and the work the engineers done.
"The engineers have made your tie more accessible for you. Anything that needs changing, just say." Hux spoke grabbing your wrist gently,
You were out of the way from anyone else for the moment, as Hux stared softly at you.
"Be careful. Please. I can't deal with what happened to you again. I love you." Hux spoke leaning his head against yours.
"I love you too. I promise I'll be fine." You responded giving him a soft kiss. Turning away from him, you made your way to your fighter. As Hux watched you get in with a little bit of help, he walked back to the bridge.
"Good morning aviators, this is Commander Y/L/N speaking. It's good to be back in the fight." You spoke over your comms,
"Commander it's good to have you back." Someone from the control room spoke.
Taking a few deep breaths, you listened to the hum of the Twin Ion Engines. Lifting the Tie off of the hangar floor, you turned it towards this hanger bay door.
Accelerating, you joined in on the ongoing dog fights just outside the destroyer. The engines screamed as you entered the space full of tie fighters and X-Wings. Exiting the hanger, your breathe got trapped for a moment. It has been a while since being in the cockpit out in open space.
Chasing an X-Wing that flew past, your Tie started picking up more and more speed. Your Tie and the X-Wing that you were chasing, banked hard left and up causing the two of you to go rocketing past the bridge of the Finalizer. Inside the bridge everything rattled.
"Come on. Come on." You spoke to yourself as you managed to shoot down the X-Wing. Passing through the flame of the X-Wing, you started the hunt again.
"Take it easy Y/L/N." Hux spoke as he watched you pull at least 7Gs in the TIE fighter.
The comms crackled and an all too familiar voice came over it.
"Welcome back to the fight Y/N. Let's make this fun shall we." The voice spoke,
"Oh piss of Dameron. The last thing I want is you." You responded to the resistance ace Poe Dameron. You detested him, his voice was annoying and he was always sounding disgustingly happy.
"Careful sweetheart, don't wanna ruin that TIE fighter of yours again do you?" Poe smiled to himself loving that he was annoying you,
"Call me sweetheart again, and your dead Dameron." The seriousness in your voice made Hux shiver but also made him proud.
"See you around, Commander." Poe responded commanding his squadron to hyperspace with the rest of the resistance.
Recalling all squadrons back to the Finalizer, you flew back into the hanger and landed. One of the engineers helped you out of the Tie fighter, and gave you your crutches.
"Hey how you feeling?" Hux asked greeting you in the hanger,
"I ache like a lot. I think my leg is alright, maybe need to do some adjustments." You spoke walking out the hanger assisted by the crutches.
Walking down an emtpy corridor, Hux stopped you kissing your forehead softly.
"I'm sorry for doubting you earlier darling. I was just worried." Armitage spoke softly,
"Hey, its okay. I understand. I'm glad you worry about me, cause I don't know who would be worried about me." You responded, Hux smiled and gave you a kiss.
"Go back to our room sweetheart. Get some rest. I'll get someone to get you some food, and Millicent should be there." Hux smiled giving a final kiss to your forehead.
Slowly you made your way to your shared room. There on the edge of the bed laid a sleeping Millicent, who had been your best friend for the past 3 weeks of sleeping.
"Hey there Milli, I'm home." You spoke stroking her head softly.
Hissing slightly as you sat down, you managed to take off your prosthetic leg. Although you were pleased to be somewhat walking again, it would take some time to get use to it.
Before you could do anything like rubbing bacta cream on your stump, or having the food that was given to you. You fell asleep on the bed, whilst hugging Armitage's pillow. Just because it smelt like him.
A few hours later Hux came into the room, and saw you fast asleep still in your flight suit.
"Hey honey?" Hux whispered trying to wake you up,
"Mmm" was the only response he got from you.
"Honey, come on. Let's get you out of your flight suit." Hux suggested helping you sit up, he could tell that flying like that took a lot of energy out of you. But having you back in the flight helped majorly.
You was only half awake as Hux helped you out of your flight suit. Helping you to stand up on your one leg, he let you hold onto his shoulders as the flight suit fell to the floor.
"Come on, into bed we go." Hux smiled as you sat back and just simply went back to sleep.
Before he done anything else, he got some bacta cream and rubbed it on your stump so you wouldn't wake up in pain.
He laid next to you, and just held you to make sure you were safe.
