i call it the dragon of the deep

its an aquatic dragon that uses bioluminesice to atract prey much like an angler fish. the dragon of the deep is also extremely solitary and pretects there land verociously often ending in disputes and attacks ocuring. they like to stay in deeper, darker parts of the ocean as their hunting technique is more efective there but they will come closer to the surface during mating seasons as food is more ubundant and it is warmer. the one with the brightest lights are usualy more apealing during mating season as it means they will be able to feed the child for longer.

the fibres on its back also detect movement and changes in curent within the ocean, this can help with navigation or with detecting prey as its eyes are extremely weak after generations in the dark.

its ueses its wings to propel itself and the limbs they once had have evolved into small fins that aid in swiming.

it does not have gills but a specialised filter withing their nostrils to filter oxygen through their body

— I wrote this all in one go in the middle of the night, hope it's not too bad :') I just let myself write what came to mind and came up with this. I don't know what got into me, I don't even feel species dysphoria this strongly, but I know someone can relate.

I pin my ears back

and I bare my fangs

at the mirrored mimic

as my heart pangs

for what I see

is not the real me

but a cheap disguise
