We’re excited to announce that we’ve decided to make the Destiel Modern AU Challenge a bi-annual event. This means that we’re doing the whole thing over again in the spring! Exact dates are subject to change, but here’s a rough overview:

February 1: Sign-ups open

March 1: Sign-ups close, prompts are distributed

March - April: Write!

Early May: Stories submitted, approved, revealed.

If you are interested in participating, keep an eye out for more information as we get closer to sign-ups. You can also check out the Fall and Spring schedules for updates regarding both challenges.

Hi there! I was just curious if you knew that the AO3 collection was set to unrevealed? Was that intentional and if so, when can we let our readers know it will be available for them to see?

Yes, that is intentional. We will approve and reveal your fics over the course of Monday and Tuesday (October 2&3) in the order that you submitted them, so you can tell your readers to look out for them then. We will also post on Tumblr each time we reveal a fic.

Hi, I feel like a noob asking this so close to posting date, but is it okay if the AU we've written is based off of something else? Like a Harry Potter AU or a Star Trek AU! The prompt I received falls perfectly in line with another modern book/show AU I've been planning for a while, so could I post that or should it be exclusively SPN alone?

Yes, any AU is perfectly fine as long as it focuses on Destiel and is set in modern times. Hence, the Destiel Modern AU Challenge. :)
